  1. 1st run ended and it took about a month for them to restock the 2nd run contact them on facebook, andrea is really helpful over there and she might be able to give you info on when they will release more or if the runs have ended all together and pm inbound
  2. got a few more needed parts over the past couple days ... and well, got the thing completely built and tweaked and ready for bondo
  3. if you contact spike/altmann he will send the correct bolts if im not mistaken ... i believe he made a post around here that he had made molds of them edit.. in his thread on the last pages .... “spike 11 Oct 2017 I have now cast Lancer level buttons so will be fitting those now. If I can post a pic I will. local scout supplied the correct bottons for me to mold off. new chin cup also, revised shape after viewing some pics. cheersâ€
  4. would like confirmation... biker scout, shoretrooper and kashyyyk are all part of ART?
  5. dont worry, i had the same thought ... i joined the detachment for my costuming needs, thats where i thought is was supposed to be. and like i said in the previous post, im glad i did anyways. the thing i dont like is the gml standards ... one gml can be hardcore when he looks at a costumers approval and another can be way to passive. and then comes the mention of the crl again ... there needs to be some clarification on some of the parts .. esp. for this TB costume and more so on the soft parts. i also see as you say "rodeo clown" costumes out there too! is it right for a person to slap some sloppy soft parts on themselves with some armor and get approved with a gml who is passive? then this person who got accepted with his sloppy costume ignores help from the local level if they even choose to visit the forums and be active there. if they are not active in the forums then there is no way to give them help until you see them at a event ... and then it is to late. and if they have not cared enough to be active in either forums what chance is there they want to be active just because you asked them politely to adjust there costume and bring it to higher standard? so, i think this is where the crl needs some work to prevent those rodeo clown costumes being approved at a basic level. it would also make the gml's approval more standardized across the legion and we wouldnt see these sloppy costumes. and as far as the ART aspect of it all ... its a nice feature for a detachment/garrison, esp. if the garrison doesnt have a mentoring program. but, if your locals could care less and they are happy with rodeo clown costumes then .... what can we really do? the only thing i think at that point would be to ask for a push from within the detachments command to make some changes to the basic crl to help avoid those types of costumes.
  6. a member can just join the garrison and never ever see or know the detachment. the garrisons gml is who approves the member for basic the detachment approves for level 2 (lancer in our case), 3, 4 ....... honestly, i can clearly see where the detachment needs to be involved with basic approval in the garrison ... and having an art program mentioned/started up here at the detachment level is helpful but, no one in the garrison has to join/make an art. its seems not much different than a mentor program ... which i didnt even see that in my garrison during my recruit status and they even had mentors. but, i dont think the problem lies completely within the art program .. the problem i see is more within the crl ... its way to basic for basic ... there is no mention of a crunched up cod piece, pizzabox/marshmallow/crooked/backward pouches and 5 gallon bucket boots and so on ... from my experience the detachment cares more for the costumes overall look than the garrison does! honestly, im glad i spent my recruit time here rather than at my garrison
  7. the number of vents where brought up in my rs helmet builds because i was adding the 8th vent ... there seems to be: ~ 7 vent helmet ~ 8 vent helmet ~ 8/9 vent helmet ... the 8 and 9 vents are merged together making one wider vent ~ 9 vent helmet ... the 9th vent is smaller see the posts with reference pics here 7 vents ... screen used: http://forum.bikersc...ndpost&p=168405 8, 8/9 and 9 vents ... pics here http://forum.bikersc...ndpost&p=168411 i like the 8 vents though
  8. thanks for posting the wip pics i like the v2 ... very close to the original, nice job! i have never built or seen a lonewolf in hand so, question .... why did you fill/rework all the vents in the back? is there an issue there?
  9. thanks all! it has been one very enjoyable 8th month journey and one i am proud to have done and completed. at first it was very overwhelming with all the info, searching, reading, thinking, questions and the dreaded waiting. but, through all that and with the help of this forum and the helpful nature of all those involved here my costume is at a level i have wanted it to be from the start. a special thanks to chrisx909x, chef, sskuny, strider, dvh! and another big thanks to all here who have made this place what it is with all the wips and helpful information!
  10. i had got into some talks last night with the other scouts about who is the POC for our ART. i would like to give the other scouts the opportunity first as im the newest member there but, i also mentioned to them that i will take the reigns if noone else wants to run with it. so, at this time we are regrouping and will decide who will take over for the ART. give us a bit of time and i will post back here with more info soon
  11. finally making some head way on the status with my local garrison. joined there fb page ... not to active anyways, im trying to get that sorted atm Garrison Tyranus (Virginia) Shadow Hunters Point of contact: Michael Thompson (shdwtrpr13) shdwtrpr13 also goes by alex .. not sure of his status, last seen here jun'17 and on our garrison side july'17 i have reached out to him on facebook which seems he may be inactive as his profile states "former infantry @ 501st" and his last post is july'17 on his page looking to get the correct info and get this art back up and active
  12. they look good. what all did you do to the mask? any wip pics?
  13. ive seen snaps used on a tb, on the drop box belt area. that seems okay, but, your not adjusting anything if you need to. ive seen snaps used on the shoulder bridge area but, imo it looked to bulky in that area as for snaps on the upper armor im not sure it would work all that well, and i think the flex/movement would be restircted ... plus, we dont see snaps on the screen used scouts, we see a sewn patch of velcro on the side strap coming from the back armor looped through the front armor and attached onto the strap. you probably could have a snap on the strap on the back armor and then have the strap looping through the front armor and back around attaching to the velcro on the strap. as for the shoulder bells they are meant to be free floating and not attached to anything but, a couple zipties and a small elastic band around the arm, to add snaps to this piece and the flight suit it would mean the movement of the shoulder bell armor would be restricted. if you choose not do the ziptie method, i think you would have to much bulk trying to add snaps to the shoulder bridge of the armor and then another snap to the strap that would be holding the shoulder bell. i thinks it is alot easier to align things with velcro, for instance my drop boxes where to low and needing adjusting, pull the strap from the velcro and adjust. if i had snaps there i would have to had added more snaps to make the adjustment.
  14. congrats command and thanks steve!
  15. this build is continued over here http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=18321&view=findpost&p=170601
  16. looks nice! your gml is the one you would really need to talk to and see if he is okay with it. as for level 1 with this weapon it looks like you will need to add rail blocks and a middle rail support along with your taclight the crl does not mention position of the scope just that one needs to be attached so, you can add the rail blocks and mount that flashlight and you should be okay. good luck and again, talk with your gml
  17. well, back at it again with build #5 this is also my start to building helmets for commission, i have had more than a few request to build helmets. this is my first commission build and there are several more already in the works waiting to be built. this build will be different from the previous builds i have done. it will have the riveted headband(not glued), a ukwraths audio system added and no 8th vent to be added i received this helmet with the helmet halves, ears and eyes already cut out. still had a little bit of work to do to get it built left and right side jaws to show before and after return edge notice my pencil line does not match the rs line before after the profile lines the two halves still needs some trimming/sanding almost built except the top center support for the helmet want to use the wider oval shape center support as seen on one of the versions of the screen used helmets
  18. interesting... the tours have a wider flair on the gauntlet for sure. the pipping on the back of the hand on the tour is larger too! also, interesting is ..... my rain gauntlets are not red inside they are black and the tags on the inside are in different locations and they do not cover up the espirit logo and then the top zipper on your picture looks plastic?? and has triangular shape teeth, different than whats on mine which are straight teeth and a meal/brass looking zipper so, maybe different manufactures/mills or different times that they where made causing the differences
  19. hey, no problem with the wait. and thanks! lets see how these new pics suit you all! everything adjusted as you mentioned. cummerbund/belt/sleeves/tank adjusted drop boxes lifted up and leveled 1" taken off the mudflap thanks all!
  20. it looks like it should it work. you know this is optional and not needed for lancer right? you dont have to wire wrap your td. good luck going for lancer
  21. hmm..interesting! what i also see is: ~ 3 different nozzles on the front with your 3 first pics. - the first pic has a short nozzle - the second pic is longer and has several ridges on the nozzle --- the scope is longer too - the third pic has a single ridge on the nozzle nice find .. now we need to find out the source of the last pic. and get a couple(2) more screen used pics to make a change to the crl, correct? also, with the last pic theres more pink/red under the armor .. time to paint
  22. im not sure if you all will accept troop pictures ... but, a couple days before the troop and after submitting my photos for lancer i worked on my flak vest sleeves some more to try and prevent the flair out. i tapered them and shrunk the opening about 2" if you dont allow troop picture i understand and i can retake new pictures to show reworked sleeves
  23. td is backwards .. the circle greeblie should be on your right and the square on the left ... easy fix might need to adjust the cummerbund as it shifted to the left and needs to be centered .. is it to big?
