Back Armor Greeblie Vents - to cutout or not?
TK8271 Rogue Trooper replied to ST-50421's topic in Shoretrooper Armor/Helmet
The vents do not look like they go all the way through were you can see the undershirt. The photo above from CE looks like the vents are enclosed at the back with something but that does not look like the shirt at the back IMO although the photo is not great. Plus what may look like a shirt with vertical ribs maybe something else as the shirt does not have vertical ribs. Because we know what they wore under the armour, as seen below the under suit has horizontal ribs. Again we can see horizontal ribs on the back of the under suit There is something at the back but I do not believe it’s the shirt due to the ribs. On somethings we are still as you say assuming but we are always open to suggestions with solid evidence, once we have that then most definitely CRL’s can be amended. Back Armor Greeblie Vents - to cutout or not?
TK8271 Rogue Trooper replied to ST-50421's topic in Shoretrooper Armor/Helmet
Just looking back through the notes when the CRL was written, the reason backed is in the CRL on the vents was to ensure the vents did not go right through were you could see the undershirt. Maybe the wording can be looked at. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Back Armor Greeblie Vents - to cutout or not?
TK8271 Rogue Trooper replied to ST-50421's topic in Shoretrooper Armor/Helmet
Yes Paul is correct to be complete screen accurate and I remembered I took my backing out after putting it on so it matched the CE photo, but it’s still backed within a box, so I am bad This is a great angle from CE display Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Back Armor Greeblie Vents - to cutout or not?
TK8271 Rogue Trooper replied to ST-50421's topic in Shoretrooper Armor/Helmet
It can be backed and blacked out. For sharpness mine was cutout painted and then backed with black ABS and not foam. * Edit * See below post I forgot that I removed my abs backing as per the CE photos with no backing but within a box. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Yes I agree I had this conversation a long while back as I thought I recognised them as No2 dress braces that I was issued with. The buttons on the back of the breeches also indicate this type of braces. Although we can’t see them I would suggest that the front inside of the breeches also have buttons due to the design type of button breeches Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Ok we have started to look at your application and there are a few things we need from you with pictures and some modifications to the armour. 1. Please send a updated full picture with you in your undershirt with full armour as it seems the one on your full kit is different to the single shirt picture. 2. Your biceps are to big and they need to be adjusted to fit the size of your arms correctly. Yours What it should look like 3. The end wedge vents on your helmet , can you get some SB paint and paint the sides so they show the wedge. Yours What it should look like Everything else looks good on your armour and we commend you on your work to date. The above modifications should be easy to carryout. The biggest issue we have is your E11b as it’s is not based on the S&T and there are a few main standouts. Yours S&T Looking closer 1. The folding stock must be one piece , as you can see yours is not 2. Pistol grip is the wrong shape as the end and the groves on the grip need extending. 3. This is a easier fix : replace the Philips sunken screw heads for the Allen bolt sunken screw ones Also we need to see pictures of the front end of your barrel side on and front on. You can ether modify your blaster to the above or replace it with a blaster that has been made to replicate the S&T. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Wow you have jumped a big step ahead. I really liked what you did with your forearms by giving them that sharper look I take it you decided not to replace the front abb greebles, did you speak with your GML ref this to see if your Garrison would accept that standard ? Like i said above the LMO put it down to the GML decision for their Garrison as the abb greebles are poor. I would also look at your belt boxes again as they look bulky , maybe take a cm off the thickness and your medium box’s with the lip are not correct that should be wedged. These things will be your GML’s decision with their Standards. Did you look at the modification posts for your back armour as there are some small tweaks you can easily do to make your back armour look better and be more accurate. I Honestly think you have done a great job and the effort you have put in with your forearms and detail in the back boxes are great. I also think with the tweaks spoke about and the easy modification posts , you could make the armour even better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have seen a lot of 850 kit and all the pulls are week especially V 1 and V2 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

That’s nicely done Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

With 850’s first few versions it was noted that the front abb greeblies where not accurate enough and the pull was not great, that also was noted by the LMO at the time. Most people cut these out, backed the inside and filled the front , sanded down smooth then replaced them with 3d printed versions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
