  6. I would like to congratulate Mickey on not being challenged for the DL position. I would say this is down to his openness and willing to work with everyone and most of all his dedication to the detachment. Well done and much deserved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I looked at the boot today and as we know there are no great screen shots, so the next thing to look at is sideshow collectibles as they are damn accurate. Looking at these they defo show a snap strap at the top rear of the boot. I then looked at the black series which are pretty good and they show great detail I am convinced that the boots are zipped at the back because that’s the reason for the top snap strap to stop them from unzipping. These are a decent match https://www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk/p_12640_mens-tuffa-berkshire-black Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. As discussed try a slightly thicker thread and try second one again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I used a small model file , the drill hole is a great start , just get a small file the same side and file the hole square . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. As you can see Paul the correct advice to achieve the grey blue with the base colour and the 2 over sprays as been advised since 3 Dec 2016 http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/16456-screen-accurate-paint-colors/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Paul I have no idea where you got the thought that Glynn had no recall on weathering ? Anyway this is the direct answer from Glynn when asked about the red bicep colour and the blue. As you can clearly read he gives the red and then he goes into detail with the blue and how it was achieved. To me if they used that method for all the colours he would have wrote it for all colours but he specifically mentions the bluey/grey with the base colour and the over spray just for the blue. 20. From a personal point of few Glynn went out of his way to explain how the blue was done and how clever the guys where by using the dirty down grey over the blue to change the colour from blue to the grey blue. I think if they had done this with the whole armour and on the Sahara beige he would have mentioned it. Also when you spray the dirty down over the Sahara Beige it does also change the tone colour. So I would be sceptical if they used it over the whole armour colour due to the colour change it makes. But like a lot of things I would not rule it out, but just find it more interesting that Glynn purposely mentioned it just on the blue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Are you putting grey ageing spray over the blue ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Oh 100% there are a lot of interesting different facts and evidence that appear and still a lot to come out. Like yourself having spoke to designers and guys that wore the kit there are some interesting and strange ideas that went into wearing it. Even with how they wore the R1 Stormtrooper they completely changed the rig on how they wore that compared to the original in some areas. I also found that speaking to the guys who wore it, they had different recollections on how things where done, but I suppose with the passage of time somethings can become muddled, it’s just the case of joining the dots. Like most costumes it’s defo a working progress and through time we no doubt will nail down 99% of it , if not all. I don’t think we are to far off as the reference pictures we get these days are fantastic and some of the behind the scenes pictures again show so much , fingers crossed more of those more revealing pictures will come out ether leaked or official. 23. I don’t know what you have seen nor can I deny or call you out on what you have seen or been shown, that would never be my intention. However on the flip side I also have pictures that I have been asked not to show and I have and will keep to my word on that until told otherwise and those pictures IMO may not show what you suggest. At the same time when I could I did release pictures to get where we are now with parts that were not shown which have been proven to be correct. Like I said we are always open to change to make sure we provide the correct information to our members. When that information clashes and can only be based on assumption , then we must go with the evidence or lack off at the time and make a decision. Which is like I said we are open to change considering it took 10-15 years for us to nail down the correct method of the original Stormtrooper. The ST is still in its infancy and I have no doubt over time we will learn more without the secrecy of we can’t share photos , simply because they will be realised officially.
