Anovos Shoretrooper Helmet Visor Tinting
TK8271 Rogue Trooper replied to BigCat13's topic in Getting Started
Putting a motorcycle helmet visor tint on to the inside is the way to go, that’s what most have done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk- 3 replies

I am not doubting your dedication and work ethic it’s some of the best I have seen, but let’s be honest non off us came close to Sahara Beige and we where decades away from even matching the ford Nordic blue with dirty down grey. No matter what the lighting was or camera used to try and identify the correct colour we would never have got there. If it was not for Glynn sharing that information we would never have had the correct colours and to be able to name them. As for the CRL we have to start somewhere but members are also to ensure the weathering etc matches screen pictures as best as possible, like we do for every unknown colour. Fingers crossed we are given direct confirmation as it just ticks off another question mark. Even when confirmed the colour will only be asked to be the exact same for level 2 as per all the other colours. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

PMSL Hopefully will get conformation but who knows ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Of course and it’s appreciated but to change a CRL we need hard evidence which I am sure you can understand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s your build Paul you can do what you want and we don’t have any issues with that at all as you are not clearing to 501st Like my post said the wheels are in motion to ask Glynn again. The post was just a reminder to our members who are clearing to 501st that the start standard is the CRL. Since the CRL was first wrote its has changed multiple times with good hard evidence and we will always do that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Guys please remember that this build is Paul’s and fantastic as it is, Paul is not going to clear it as per the 501st CRL. The colour is emotive and was discussed a lot because we have so many photos of the helmet and each photo can show a slight different shade depending on the lighting used and the camera used as they all will distort the colour in there own way. Weathering techniques is very important as it can 100% change and distort the colour. We did ask Glen Dillon but he never got back to us with a direct answer and as this has came up again we shall try again. If Paul can reveal his reliable source or have another form of direct conformation on the actual colour used , which is not just based on a personal opinion then we can 100% look at updating the 501st CRL. Until then our members need to stick to the CRL requirements. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I can’t speak highly enough of 3D-Props and the effort Eelco has gone to to achieve accuracy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Nice work on the eye bags, I would suggest having a look through this 850 WIP http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19218-850-kit-with-lots-of-alterations/ Paul got his 850 up to Vanguard which was some feet. The pulls on 850 are weak but it can be rectified if your willing to put the work in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Well done , great work Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Hi ScaryGuy (Theo) and myself are happy with your changes and have put you forward for Vanguard status to the DL. Please Note just as a reference That you will be the first and last to be accepted with moulded strapping on the shins, as off today the moulded straps will no longer be accepted at level 2. Well done Trooper.

P.38 is what we call it over here in the UK, you may have a different name for it in the USA. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
As Micky says even with 850 armour Vanguard can be achieved , but I know Paul the guy who achieved this very well and believe me he spent more and spent a hell of a lot of working hours to get it there. Ask him would he do it again and the answer would be NO he would just buy a better kit. In fact although Paul achieved Vanguard he is actually making another Shoretrooper and printing it all himself as he is still not totally happy with his kit. The answer is simple , You get what you pay for Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

That would work Once you have it all glued in place , get some P38 and take it up to the edge (red arrows) and smooth out. Then sand down so nice and smooth which will remove the edge. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

It was probs one of those things we took for granted that people will pick up with the leather on the palm. Also the CRL picture only show the top side of the glove so that’s a slap on the hand for us. However we are looking at updating the picture and explanation with that with a few other things so it becomes clearer for all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have spoke to Eelco from 3dprops and he is changing it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Nice work on the boots Please show a picture of the front end of your hand plate , just to see your oblong recess is there. Also your gloves are incorrect with the front finger tips (in red) as the leather does not over lap the end 3 fingers or the palm does not seem to show any padding in blue. You can see the gloves here Reproduced gloves Endor finders Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Nice work mate, the end your showing is a picture from the R1 book but it’s the hero end version as it’s a hero E22 he’s holding. As that’s your goal it’s super [emoji1303] Just for those reading this posts Stunt version has the cast line down the centre Hero version Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
