Wow, thank you all, special thanks to those members who have helped and supported me in this. This sounds corny but this detachment is incredibly supportive and welcoming and I’m proud to be a part of it.

Have any other detachments shown any interest? The only ones I could see making any kind of case would be FISD and the feeling on there seems to be that this is a Pathfinder.

And the big advantage is that they're much lighter than resin or rubber blasters so it won't pull your boot down nearly as much when its in the holster.

Hi Strider Thanks for your patience with this, I've finally had some time to remake my boots: Obviously they need to be weathered to match with the rest of my armour but wanted some feedback as to fit?

Mickey's last pic makes it pretty clear, that is a scout's pistol on his hip.

Im pretty sure the Mimban Trooper will be MEPD not FISD (dirty, packs, pauldrons....). It makes sense for the PatrolTrooper to be here though. The LMOs have stated that this time there will be no crls approved until after the movie is out though.

I think the TD on the stormtrooper goes back to an early draft when they were also going to be carrying lightsabers. That tube was where they stored them. The weapon changed but the design stuck.

Hi Glen. Quick update, i have ordered replacement bolts, as soon as they arrive I'll fit them and post new pics. I'm also sourcing the base boots to remake my boots with narrower shafts. I figure it'll be easier overall than trying to rebuild the existing ones. Can I assume that those are the only 2 issues i need to address?

Thanks Glen. I'll post a pic of the blaster tonight. The bolts are the standard altman ones. If I replace them with the ones from here will that suffice? http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10270&hl=&fromsearch=1 I'll need to remake the boot shafts. With the above 2 i doubt I'll get them done this side of Christmas though. Re the elastic on the cod, I've zoomed right in on my face on pic and there is no elastic visible. Are you saying there should be?

Sorry to sound cliche, but the advice above is correct: doing your research will save you from making mistakes (and costing you money). There is a lot of information here and in your local garrison, never underestimate the benefit of seeing someone else's armour in person. Everyone gets the feeling of information overload, but there is a lot of help to be found on here.

The big draw for this helmet is it's screen accuracy. My concern is for how well that accuracy will survive my efforts to put it together.
