  1. Interesting because the orientation of the knees in The Mandalorian was attributed to them being Imperial Remnant and a reflection of slipping standards (along with general dishevelled look). But Andor S2 is set when the Empire is still at its peak.
  2. I don't own the Scout, but I do have several other Black Series helmets. On all the ones I have the voice changers are absolute garbage.
  3. I've trooped with one of the retail bought soft toys in a (correct) bag, just for fun troops like cons. For those thinking of carrying a Hot Toys or similarly pricey animatronic, do remember that Joe public can be inclined to "join in the fun" and try to punch a grogu carried by a scout.
  4. I thought of doing something like this too, just for fun. I have one concern though, doesn't it rattle constantly as you're walking around?
  5. I'd assume all the other variations (tie flight suit, no riding patches, no shoulder bridges etc.) Would still be there.
  6. Looks like we'll need to remove the requirement for the orange style weathering on the Mando scout crl?
  7. The problem with a standard pattern is that the patches need to be proportional to you. When I did mine I put on an old pair of pants, stood in front a mirror while my partner had some chalk and the pic from the crl. When the chalk lines matched the reference pics as closely as we could get them I took off the pants and cut them out. Bingo, my personal templates.
  8. Is there a link for RWA armour?
  9. That is very cool. Thanks for sharing
  10. Did you manage to find a way to attach the greeblies to your gloves without having to glue or stitch them on permanently?
  11. Painting a layer of resin also helps fill those print lines and also gives extra strength.
  12. Altman helmet and SC armour is the combo I have. Be aware you may need to replace the grey visor bolts on the Altman for Lancer.
  13. They've got their knees on upside down 😉
  14. The file comes with the barrel shroud as one piece and a 2 piece version. Obviously I used the 2 piece, however one of them was slightly too long still for the ender so I had to slice that in half. However, it is the half nearest the blaster so is supported entirely by how it slots into the rest of the body. Does that make sense?
  15. I have one on my instagram
  16. Your 1st link for the DLT-20a is by April Storm, fantastic model. I’ve made this myself on my Ender 3 pro
  17. Does that make the vest optional? Or are there more seen onscreen with than without?
  18. Ok, I completely agree with you there. This isn’t like a sandie standing in a group of TKs where one looks weathered, the Mando scout looks like the costumer has been sloppy.
  19. Then don't build one. You may not like the costume, others don't share your opinion.
  20. While I'm posting differences between Mando Scouts and ROTJ version here's a shamelessly stolen pic from a fellow trooper on Facebook. Looks like there are no thigh riding patches while there are pockets on the thighs and (possibly) biceps. I'm wondering if this is a standard Tie Pilot / crew style Imperial flight suit?
  21. If their idea was to put across that discipline was breaking down and standards were slipping then, for me, they failed. All the scouts had the same wardrobe malfunctions, all of them had the bund at half mast, all of them had their knees on upside down. That's not just sloppiness that is a group of people who made a choice. Whether that group of people were the wardrobe dept. or the Scouts who had an unrevealed "in universe" reason who knows? Maybe I'm just over thinking? It was good to see live action scouts back on screen though. My issue with this as a costume is that if you were trooping it alongside ROTJ scouts then you will be compared to them. Will you look like a "Mando Scout" or will you just look like a Scout who can't dress themselves properly? In terms of differences I'm not sure if it has been pointed out elsewhere but it seems the Mando Scouts do not have the shoulder bridge:
  22. I just glued some foam to the inside of my upper arm piece. That creates enough friction to keep it in place.
  23. For those who’ve played the game what is the reasoning as to why the empire would issue melee weapons to troopers whose function is reconnaissance / snipers?
  24. Your mother-in-law is a regular TK? 😉
  25. So the scout on display at SDCC that we all said was wrong and definitely not screen used, actually was and is "correct"? 😦
