  1. That definitely isn't anything recognizable as a holster. You can always get another one after market from SC or Chef. As Chef mentioned can you post pics of you whole armor set so we can see it and possibly identify the maker?
  2. Almost. They need to come over Just a bit more than aligned with the bell bottoms. Take a gander at some of the approval threads. That might help give you a better picture.
  3. Wow! Really nice work Jake! You are really looking great and nice job on the weathering. Here are a few items that I see based on the pics: 1.) Roll that bicep and forearm armor over to the front. It's too far back. It's probably from donning the armor and it has a tendency to roll over like that. Some folks attach velcro to help keep it from rolling over. The tips of the forearm armor will go over your gauntlets. 2.) Bring those drop boxes up to about an inch from your belt. They're a little low. 3.) The TD is looking a bit crooked and needs to be straightened. Again this is probably from donning the armor. When you take your approval photos have the person taking them make sure your various bits and bobs are aligned. 4.) You got the dreaded cod crinkles. There are some good methods to keep that from occurring. I inserted a thin layer of shaped plastic in my cod to help with that but that's not the only method. Check with an armorer or a garrison mate that's a Pathfinder. 5.) Your flight suit is bunching up above the knees. A good method is when you put your knee armor on pull the fabric taught then put on your boots. I added some stirrups into my flight suit legs to help keep them tight. 6.) I still think your pouches could move in a tad. Align them with the outside seams on your bund. 7.) I just noticed that your right boot (blaster) velcro is reversed. It should be left over right (from the front). I don't think that will affect basic approval but you'll want to fix it before you submit for Lancer. I hope this helps brother. Just a few minor fitment tweaks and most of those come from just putting it on and adjusting. As I mentioned you are looking really good!
  4. Thank you for the compliments. I couldn't have done it without all the great support found here on BS.N and the talented folks who's build threads I referenced. Look forward to seeing your approvals as Pathfinders!
  5. Congrats Glen!
  6. Congrats Shada!
  7. Head over to the armory and look through the soft armor threads for the flight suit, vest, and cummerbund and you'll be able to research some of the providers who do good work and are honest business folk:)
  8. That stinks! I'm glad you went with Max and I can reassure you that it will be right or he'll fix it. I love my flight suit and vest he made for me. Thanks for sharing that bit of painful education for the new upcoming scouts.
  9. Looking good Patrick! I noticed your drop boxes didn't have the buckles though. Was that just a fitment check? How it feel to put on the armor ?
  10. That's an interesting idea but your kit won't pass with those additions as it wouldn't meet CRL requirements. Here's an idea though that might work. Order an extra shoulder bell from SC and put the medic sigil on it but do not put the sigil on your tank. You can switch out the bells depending on the event and on what your command staff says is ok. There are some allowances for non-canon events but you'll want to check with your garrison CO and/or GML and make sure they ok it before you wear it.
  11. I'm shedding a tear under my bucket for you bro (seriously)! I am so proud of you and honored to call you brother. Congrats on an achievement well earned!
  12. Awesome! It's a great place to start. You'll need a total of five posts to access the trade forums so keep asking questions.
  13. Welcome to the BS.N forest Zach! The best place to start is over in the Armory forums where you'll learn about all the parts that make up the Scout. I would also like to encourage you to check out your local garrison (www.ga501st.com) and sign up for the forum there as well. You'll be able to contact local 501st members who will also be able to help you on your journey to becoming a trooper. There are a host of folks here as well to help answer questions so head out and start learning and if you have a question post it up we're here to help!
  14. Best place to start your journey is over in the Armory. Head on over and start looking through the threads there. We're here for you so any questions please feel free to ask.
  15. For me they hold the TD tight and keep it centered on the back of the belt without having to fuss with adjusting it. My belt clips really aren't tight enough to keep the TD from moving about when I'm trooping.
  16. Nice work Nick! You will appreciate being able to put the TD on separately and it helps to cinch up your belt without fighting the TD. Looks great and I can't wait to see your pre-approval pics!
  17. I made that mistake on my top 0.5" strap then I had to remove the rivets and do it again. Recommend that you fit check before you rivet or cut the elastic to size.
  18. Welcome to the BS.N forest!
  19. I'm moving to Phoenix here in a month or two so you can count me in once I get transferred to Dune Sea from Dewback Ridge.
  20. There's only four in the Dewback Ridge Garrison ART and that's including me. Just find a couple that are interested and start one up brother. Take the first step and the rest will follow Wanted to share the DRG ART Patch that our team leader John (AnasaziActual) put together: Pathfinders out front!!
  21. Congrats Pathfinder!!! Great to see you in uniform!
  22. Congrats Cheyenne!
  23. Check out the reference pictures thread for some more visuals. The season three trailer provided some good reference and we're awaiting the start of the season to hopefully see the biker scouts become a recurring part. It's about time! I would agree that it does look like a UA type undersuit but we'll need to have some full front on pics to start to narrow down what it is exactly. Now we just need to see who's going to take a shot at producing the armor.
