  1. Looking forward to seeing your build progress to completion! Which ST version are you going to paint it in?
  2. I never have. It would be interesting explaining to an IRS auditor about your armor that’s for sure!
  3. You'll get used to that holster after a bit of time. It's the tank for me especially when backing up. Remember to add a magnet to the holster and blaster to keep it in place during troops. Especially when taking a knee to visit with the little ones at their level. You don't want to look down and see an empty holster!
  4. Look good for the first suit up. How’s it feel to wear the armor? Look like the strapping has slipped a little on that left shoulder bell and its rising up may want to lock that down. I have a Chef vest and I love it. It’s solidly made and has endured 54 troops so far and still going strong.
  5. Photos and draft are complete and I’m working with the DL and LMO on the review. Things will be a bit slow as the Detachment is mourning the loss of Jim. He left some plus size boots to fill so the command staff is a bit busy and this is a lower priority at the moment.
  6. I miss him too brother. I can’t be there either but my troop tomorrow will be dedicated to his memory. Not too many times I can say that it’s hard to don the armor but tomorrow will be one of them. I miss that dude and it feels empty without him.
  7. Looking good! Best of luck on your approval! If you need any help with final adjustments you can post them in the pre approval thread and the Armourers can give you a hand. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  8. If it’s a bit too tight some of the members have pulled the lining out and trimmed it off. Comfort should be paramount as you’ll be wearing these on long troops. Just an option sir.
  9. Mind if I pick your brain while I build mine? I could use some guidance. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  10. The Costume book states that the boot used for the commando was the Sierra Sneakers desert hiking boot which is the same as the scout. It looks odd without the vinyl we use to cover the top.
  11. It might also be in the Star Wars Costumes book. I have a copy and I'll take a look. I'm building an Endor commando with a friend of mine so I've been studying up on this trooper. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  12. Jim was my Obi-wan. He was one of the reasons I am in the Legion and why I’m a Biker Scout. My heart is truly broken with this sad news. I just don’t have words to express how I feel about this. His friendship and love for this community will be greatly missed. Bucket off to you my dear brother....
  13. I’ve had SC for about a year and a half and it’s been great. No yellowing at all. I’m not one for weathering so I clean it after every troop with Clorox wipes and a magic eraser. Still bright and white.
  14. I’ve never had a problem with this vendor. I purchased my gloves and recently my ISB officer belt from Wampa. Shipping was fast and the product is well made. They only thing we recommend is to go a size up on your gloves as they tend to run small.
  15. Looking good. The addition of the elastic on the tank top is a great touch.
  16. Looking great! The only nits I have are to pull the corner of that left pouch up a bit to square it with the other one and to pull your flight suit legs tight after you get your knees on and before you put your boots on. They look a little bunched around the knee/thigh area. Other than that looks like you’re ready to post in the pre-submission thread. Great work!
  17. That’s great to hear and SC is a great choice. The classic adage of measure twice, cut once is very applicable here. Take your time and move through the build slowly and methodically. This is also good time to start your own build thread so if you have questions the Armoury team can drop in to help should you need it.
  18. I’m a GML and I approve of this picture....and wish more folks posted pre-submission pics before they submitted officially. Good work!
  19. The first sounds more like a motto than a team name. I'd go with the second. That has a nice ring to it. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  20. Those boots look really fantastic with the leather. A Dremel tool can make short work of those sole cuts if you decide to go in that direction.
