  1. Hi Jonas! Just wanted to touch base with you on this and see how things are going. Let us know if we can be of help or if you have any questions.
  2. Thank you for all the great work Cheyenne! I’m glad to hear you’re not going far.
  3. Is that Blizzard? Dude you’re looking sharp! Keep it up and get that thing submitted.
  4. DK Books released Solo-The Official Guide (ISBN-13: 978-1465466907). Maybe the team can find some more reference material in there on this trooper.
  5. Off to good start! Keep a little meat on the helmet crown so the adhesive has plenty of area to bond to. You can trim and sand further once you have a solid connection between the halves. Lightly sand the areas you’re going to bond with 220 grit and clean with some isopropyl alcohol. That will clean it of any release agents and give the adhesive a good surface to bond to. For the visor and ears trace around the circumference with a pencil and that should give you a nice trim pattern to work from. Take it slow and remember measure twice cut once. It’s easy to remove material but you can’t put it back.
  6. Thank you Chris for your submission we will get back to you once the team have reviewed.
  7. Not at all. You’ll find that we all take our armor pretty seriously with regards to how it fits and looks. We want to look as if we just stepped off the set of Return of the Jedi. We’re here to help you achieve that level so keep asking those questions and let us know how we can be of help to you.
  8. Another resource that might be helpful to you is the Evil Ted You Tube channel. He builds all sorts of things using foam and makes some neat cosplay items. There are a lot of tips and techniques you can learn from him. Best of luck to you!
  9. My fellow scouts are correct. There are some great comparison threads for you to look through. You’re doing the right thing and asking questions which is why we’re here. Take a look at the comparison threads and keep asking those questions. Research is key! Take a deep breath and relax it can be a bit daunting but that’s why the community is here. You’re surrounded by a host of folks that are here to help you be successful.
  10. Yes, you can wash them just don’t put them in a dryer. Lay them out flat on a towel to dry. They will be a little tight when you put them on again but they will regain their flexibility.
  11. Under Armor is perfectly acceptable. Just make sure no visible logos are showing.
  12. Thanks Steph! The more references we can get the better!!
  13. There hasn’t been much discussion on this in the Pathfinders. The helmet is clearly a derivative of a Stormtrooper with what looks to be a variation of Shoretrooper/Tanker armor to round it out. As we approach the movie release things might change though.
  14. Hi Max, We've finished the final review round and I'm happy to congratulate you on achieving Lancer status! Constantin will make sure you'll get your badge and please send your action picture to Cheyenne (Forest Ranger) and we'll get you added to the wall. Cheers
  15. The only warning I could add is to not toss in your flight suit if you are using the real suede. The Tandy suede on my flight suit bled black on my first bund and I had to replace it with a new one. Not all fabrics are created equal so do a few tests before committing all to a washing machine.
  16. You’ll be the third one, as far as I know, to go for the Rebels so it’s still relatively new in the Legion. For your suit the base was made using police tactical pants and a thermal suit top akin to what the TKs wear. It’s recommended to go with that pairing. For your strapping I’ve always felt it’s wise to maintain the scout biker widths. They are proven and come in standard sizes so you just can’t go wrong there. It will give you the proper look combined with range of motion. You can also add Velcro to your undersuit to keep them in place as many scouts do. The WTF set comes with all the decals. You should have the red rear helmet decal, top visor decal, snout, chest and helmet “barcode†decal. As far as the pouches they are actually more rectangular than square. The size is a bit larger than the Biker Scout we wear. That’s more of a question for Stephtrooper to weigh in on as she’s in the know on those pouches. I hope this helps and I’m looking forward to seeing your build proceed. Keep asking those questions and we’ll do our best to help you along.
  17. Welcome to the Pathfinders! While there are many differences between the two Scouts the biggest difference is the cummerbund and pouch configuration. The ribs continue around and there are no pouches mounted to the bund. The duck cloth and vinyl should work out just fine for your build. Kick off a build thread and we’ll be glad to help you along on your build.
  18. Darin I’ll try to answer your questions as best as possible and throw in a few pics to help visualize it. 1.) The ribs on my vest are about 1†apart all the way around the sleeve. 2.) The ribbing is only on the sleeve. As near as we can tell it didn’t go any further on the screen costume. 3.) a good rule of thumb is 0.5†to no more than 1†past the shoulder bell. Any further and it just doesn’t look right. I ended up shortening my sleeves during my Lancer app as they were too long. See the second pic for sleeve length. 4.) The opening is almost as wide as the shoulders. Notice in the first picture below. This is the back side of the vest with the 2†Velcro closure. Note the width of the head opening going out to the ends of the sleeves.
  19. It’s good to hear from you Atheris! Life always comes first so no worries! We will review your changes/updates and get back to you. Stand by Pathfinder!
  20. Please listen to Mickey and follow the CRL. I'm a GML and I just had to fail a candidate with six ribs than the five called out. It will save you having to rework it later. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  21. No worries mate just checking on my brother to see if he needed anything. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  22. Hi Max! I just wanted to touch base with you to make sure you’re doing ok with the requested changes and see if you need any help or have any questions. Looking forward to seeing you finish this up!
  23. You shouldn’t have to. The vinyl is layered over the boot much like a gator. I think you’ll be fine. Tim’s right though give them a break in before you have to troop several hours in them your feet will thank you.
