TB-17390 Requesting Lancer Deployment (Approved)
Retrofire replied to DrewTroan's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
Andrew thanks for your app. Here we go.... - Cod looks a bit wide and it's crunching on the sides. If necessary it can be repaired with a foam insert and readjustment to get it a bit tighter. - Belt boxes are too low. Those should be at the ~25mm level from the bottom of the belt - In the left side photo the bicep is overlapping the forearm. The biceps and forearms will need to be adjusted. - The chest Is a bit too low on your torso and will need to come up closer to your neck. - Most of the strapping measurements were hard to verify with the ruler behind the strapping rather than in front (on top). Overall it is very well done and there are only a few areas that will need to be addressed. Keep up the great work trooper! -
Congratulations Lancer! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

Looking good. Chef will get you shipshape in Bristol fashion. You should sail through basic approval.

Thank you for your submission Andrew. We will review and get back to you. -
The DL is spot on. The main thing is that he has a comfortable pair for his feet. Once you have the pair you like scuff them up using a bit of sandpaper then use shoo-goo to glue the vinyl to the boot. The shoo-goo works really well. I’ve had my boots for a couple of years now and they are still going strong.

I love my ALT! You’ll be a happy Scout with that bucket.

Hi Tim, thanks for you application - here's your list - The mudflap is too long. Recommend raising it by ~2" (~5cm). - The white pouches stand out against the off white strapping. Please replace the strapping to match the pouch color or dye the pouches in a weak black tea solution to match the weathering. + Very well done on the the rest! Cheers -
Congratulations Jake!

Thank you for all the great work Cheyenne! I’m glad to hear you’re not going far. -

DK Books released Solo-The Official Guide (ISBN-13: 978-1465466907). Maybe the team can find some more reference material in there on this trooper.

Off to good start! Keep a little meat on the helmet crown so the adhesive has plenty of area to bond to. You can trim and sand further once you have a solid connection between the halves. Lightly sand the areas you’re going to bond with 220 grit and clean with some isopropyl alcohol. That will clean it of any release agents and give the adhesive a good surface to bond to. For the visor and ears trace around the circumference with a pencil and that should give you a nice trim pattern to work from. Take it slow and remember measure twice cut once. It’s easy to remove material but you can’t put it back.

Thank you Chris for your submission we will get back to you once the team have reviewed. -
Not at all. You’ll find that we all take our armor pretty seriously with regards to how it fits and looks. We want to look as if we just stepped off the set of Return of the Jedi. We’re here to help you achieve that level so keep asking those questions and let us know how we can be of help to you.

Anyone ever seen or have photos of Multicam Biker Scout armor?

Another resource that might be helpful to you is the Evil Ted You Tube channel. He builds all sorts of things using foam and makes some neat cosplay items. There are a lot of tips and techniques you can learn from him. Best of luck to you! -
Biker Scout Helmets and beginner confusion
Retrofire replied to Mishka's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
My fellow scouts are correct. There are some great comparison threads for you to look through. You’re doing the right thing and asking questions which is why we’re here. Take a look at the comparison threads and keep asking those questions. Research is key! Take a deep breath and relax it can be a bit daunting but that’s why the community is here. You’re surrounded by a host of folks that are here to help you be successful. -
Yes, you can wash them just don’t put them in a dryer. Lay them out flat on a towel to dry. They will be a little tight when you put them on again but they will regain their flexibility.

Under Armor is perfectly acceptable. Just make sure no visible logos are showing.

Congrats Pathfinder! -
Thanks Steph! The more references we can get the better!!

There hasn’t been much discussion on this in the Pathfinders. The helmet is clearly a derivative of a Stormtrooper with what looks to be a variation of Shoretrooper/Tanker armor to round it out. As we approach the movie release things might change though.
