  1. Genius getting ST6 involved. Those are some talented folks. I'm glad it's only some grime! Looking forward to seeing you complete this. Great work! Keep it up and you'll be approved before you know it.
  2. Way to adapt and overcome Kevin! On that right image is there some cracking happening at the cap? I can't tell from the photos. You should be proud of what you accomplished! It takes a lot of courage and perseverance to get through a fiddly build and you've done it swimmingly!
  3. Hey Kevin. Looking at the bucket I don't think that right side is going to pass basic. It's much too short. It should align with the faceplate to the edge. Take a look at the CRL helmet picture here: Now in the words of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy DON'T PANIC!! There are some options here. Now I see that you got SC armor which is good. You can contact them and get a replacement visor that you can retrim to fit. Another option would be to try and bring that right side over more but that would require some additional trimming and you may not have enough "meat" there to trim it out. @Chopper @MrPoopie what do you think?
  4. Oof! Yeah you should be able to repair that. Since that area takes some stress I would recommend using a plastic epoxy rather than CA glue. specially if you plan to open your visor. You can get some at most hardware stores. It's indeed fixable though so don't fret too much. @Chopper is the master of ABS slurry so I'll defer to him on the best way to use that concoction.
  5. Chopper makes some good points. For comparison check out the Scoutipedia [http://www.501stpathfinders.com/scoutopedia.php] page using the link at the top of the forum. In the drop down there select blaster then check out the pics especially the Hero Blaster Info pic at the bottom. That will give you a good guide of how the blaster should look.
  6. I think you are as well! Best of luck with your approval. You shouldn't have any issues at all!
  7. Hahahaha you'll have to make a mini version of a cummerbund so Cookie has a place to lay and won't get mad at you when you take it up for a troop. Soft armor pet beds they'll sell like crazy!😆
  8. I 100% agree with Chopper. I don't see your GML having any issues over this. Even your kitty approves! Best of luck to you!
  9. Glad to help. Checking the CRL it seems that the straps are hand weathered rather than "dipped" but you might want to check with your GML if you'd like to give them a deeper weathering. Also I think your buckles might be backwards from what the CRL states for them: (4) black parachute buckles attach to the drop box straps, one on either side of the drop box: Rear parachute buckles are threaded with the white webbing straps in front of the buckle. Might want to give them a look against the CRL [https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Scout-Trooper-The-Mandalorian] to ensure they are configured correctly. Your build is going great so keep up the fantastic work!!
  10. Don't forget to give the drop box straps some weathering along with your bund. On my knees (ROTJ Scout) I use velcro to adjust it. You can always sew some hook to your straps and then apply adhesive loop to the insides of your knees. That way you can adjust the strapping to your comfort. @Chopper created a great strapping primer here: You can find some good ideas in this article.
  11. That's looking pretty good. You can take a warm iron and smooth it out to give you that worn I just got out of the Dune Sea look. With Chopper being MEPD Deployed you got the right guy to give pointers on being dirty😁
  12. Mickey is right on point because that's what we're here for and there are so many, including us, that have gone down that path. One thing I can also recommend is to reach out to your local Garrison for support as well. They are the ones that will be approving you to join so it's best to also reach out to them. As your profile indicates that you're in WA your garrison will be Garrison Titan [https://garrisontitan.com/] . Take a few minutes to join their forums and introduce yourself and mention that you're also over at the Pathfinders Detachment and learning the ropes. We're here to help you be successful so be sure to let us know if you need help.
  13. Buckets off. Condolences to family and friends.
  14. Congrats Lancer! Well done '98 you've come a long way and have a lot to be proud of!
  15. Hola Luis! Esto es lo que recomendamos. Esperemos que puedas encontrar algo local que sea así. Hobart 770580 Face Shield Replacement Lens https://www.amazon.com/Hobart-770580-Shield-Replacement-Shaded/dp/B002VECKRO/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=hobart+welding+shield&qid=1628449360&sr=8-5
  16. @Chopper created a great thread on strapping that you can find here: @M.J Can you give Alexandra some pointers on the best way to wear the cummerbund?
  17. 😐That's amazing!!!! I got a Hasegawa S-3A Viking on the bench along with some Ban Dai SW models. Picked up a carrier elevator baseplate from Coastal Kits in the UK to put the Viking on. I have a Scout Biker in my collection too and I'm waiting to finish a few things so I can do a diorama. You have some amazing skills and talent for building!
  18. Hi Juan looks like you're off to a good start. On your flight suit make sure the thigh straps go around the outside of your legs and not the inside. Please reach out if we can be of service as we're here to help you be successful.
  19. You'd be surprised at how the techniques from building models can translate across different mediums. I'm an avid model builder, especially in 1/72 scale, and a lot of what I learned building models helped me with my armor. That and the fantastic folks that hang out here in the detachment. Your weather is well done and you shuold be proud of your accomplishment. Please let us know if we can be of assistance to you as you move forward to complete your build.
  20. Check out what Psyfool did to add a magnet to his Remnant Scout blaster here:
