  1. I really don't know why any Scout bucket makers send out green lenses, unless they have them laying around for other costumes. The Hobart lens is thin and can be easily cut with Lexan scissors or scored with an exacto knife. As for the second one, like I said, I only recently discovered it on Amazon and have no hands-on experience, but the dimensions as given on the site lead me to believe it is very thin and just as easy to cut.
  2. Most of us use these as a lens: https://www.amazon.com/Hobart-770580-Shield-Replacement-Shaded/dp/B002VECKRO/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=hobart+lens&qid=1595616083&s=industrial&sr=1-7 But they've been out of stock for awhile. You may be able to find them elsewhere. If spaced out properly, you can get about 3 lenses out of one sheet I found this but haven't purchased it yet to see if it is similar enough for our purposes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LB4P72/?coliid=I221M659LM8KBI&colid=2O1SLN7893B30&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  3. She's miles ahead of everyone else so as far as I'm concerned she's got the job.
  4. You just need to buy some 2 inch white webbing, either nylon or polypro. There are plenty of places that sell spools of the stuff.
  5. We have a strict photo upload limit per user because we just don't have the server space to store tons of photos. It would get cost-prohibitive pretty quick. We recommend you use a photo hosting service (Photobucket, Imgur, etc) to host your photos and then post hotlinks on the forum. I use Tapatalk to post my pictures.
  6. You should get in touch with @Chrisx909x
  7. I removed the "tab" reference in the draft CRL. Just remember folks, a CRL is a crowd-funded project. If you see something, say something. I've got my nose in about 4 different CRLs right now, so not everything is going to pop right out at me. I am more than happy to make adjustments as needed. But keep in mind that we are writing a LEVEL 1 CRL -- so we won't be getting into specific sizes and the such. It also needs to be broad enough to allow for some of the variations we see on the show. Of which there are many.
  8. Yeah it's just something that happens in editing. You got all the shots assembled and realize the scene would work better if such and such character was facing the other way.... brings me back to my film school days!
  9. The "bar code" on the helmet is on the wrong side, so this is a shot that was flipped in editing. Nice work as always, Christina.
  10. Well like I said, my original KS bucket was done with 3M tape and it held for 49 troops. Is it the best way? Maybe not, but it does seem to work. I know a few folks who have purchased assembled buckets from KS and I don't recall any of them saying the tape came undone. @Dart do you have any info on this?
  11. Oh sorry I should have included the punchline. The 3M tape is still going strong. It was the ABS cement side that came undone.
  12. To be fair, I trooped with my assembled KS bucket for a good two years with nary a problem. It was only after I saw Scott's video that I realized he used 3M tape. So as an experiment when building my Shoretrooper, I closed one of my biceps with ABS cement and one with 3M tape. Guess which one came apart first?
  13. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to welcome Sebastien "@Infernau" Cote (TB-74812) to the illustrious ranks of the Lancer scouts! Great job, @Infernau!! Make sure you send a picture of your coolest pose to us for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out TB-74812's application here:
  14. Created some greeblies to put over the rear vents and 3D printed them.
  15. Looks great! I just did one of these myself. Sean's files were very easy to use.
  16. You can line the forearm up with the center of your glove. that's what I do when I put them on
  17. You can't go wrong emulating the CRL pic
  18. Yup it sure should! thanks for pointing that out
  19. That's probably all I will use it for too! Looking forward to setting some photoshoots up once the pandemic is over
  20. I know I said originally I wasn't going to carry a blaster, but since I got into 3D printing I thought this would be a fun project. So here it is, my completed Sean Fields E-22! All ready to sit inside my bin and never see the light of day since we are never allowed to carry blasters on troops ever Happy to answer any questions anyone has about 3D printing a blaster. I'm a novice but I will do my best. It was printed with PLA, reinforced with XTC-3D, then painted a semi-gloss black. I dry brushed it with a metallic silver acrylic to give it the metal effects. @MrPoopie revised the mag port for me so that I could bolt it into the PVC rather than gluing it. I have that file for whoever needs it. The slide bolt had fallen off before I took this pic. I've since glued it back on. Probably took about one roll of filament to do. Plus about $2.50 worth of PVC piping to hold it all together. The strap I made myself and the tutorial for that is here:
  21. Just bear in mind that for a Level 1 CRL, we will not specify exact measurements.
  22. I got the impression he was just making sure that the basic parts of the armor kit were still the same. As in -- there aren't special armor parts that need to be ordered or created.
