  1. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to welcome Theo "ScaryGuy" Van Geffen (ST-31026) to the illustrious ranks of the Vanguard Shoretroopers! Now many of you may be saying -- "hey wait, Theo was already a Vanguard!" True, but he retired his grunt costume so this is a new approval based on his two versions of the Shoretrooper Squad Leader. Theo becomes the first Pathfinder to ever get Vanguard with different versions of the Shoretrooper. And it's a credit to his excellence that the review team had only one small adjustment for him to make. Great job, @ScaryGuy! Please post a picture of each of your troopers in this thread for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. If not, I will take a pic from your application. Check out ST-31026's application here:
  2. Sweet! In the mean time, can you take CRL photos of all your gear? It will help immensely with writing the bullet points. You can save the front and back pics for when you finish your new helmet. You can use the ROTS-version CRL as a guide for how to arrange your gear when photographing it: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CB_Kashyyyk_trooper Thank you!
  3. I think the larger helmet looks better.
  4. What they did in the Mandalorian was a little bit different than what was seen in the Rogue One bonus extras. They kept the SL style belt.
  5. We started this new program about 2 years ago. When you hit 100, you're allowed to purchase an awesome rocker that says "Ranger" that fits perfectly under your 4 inch Pathfinder patch. So get started logging your Pathfinder troops: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/141-pathfinder-trooping-awards/
  6. You could try the GENTLE application of heat to the glue to help loosen it up. But I do mean gentle. ABS loves to warp if it gets too hot. E6000 is the go to around here for glue on the Scout. Helps maintain the overall flexibility of the costume.
  7. Oh gosh i hope not! We doubled the size of the roster last year. I don't think @mrrikki could take that again
  8. On behalf of Command I am pleased to announce the addition of a new CRL to the roster: The Shoretrooper Squad Leader from "The Mandalorian"! I want to thank @ScaryGuy for working on this one for us and providing us with great pictures. And extra special thanks to our LMO rep, @mrrikki for once again shepherding us through the CRL process. Check out the live CRL here: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ST_squad_leader_mandalorian
  9. Okay will do. As with all these other variants, I'm going to start with the main CRL and make changes where needed.
  10. I think you've done a pretty bang up job there! Is there anything else you need to fix up? I'm still waiting on the Mandalorian Squad Leader CRL to clear but I can start work on this one if you think you're there.
  11. We've probably given the CRL enough time to get the kinks out of it. I'll talk it over with the armor team and see what everyone has in mind for L2 requirements.
  12. Thanks for your dedication to this Detachment! We are honored to have you as a member. This pic will be fine. Give me a few days to get it up on the Wall.
  13. On behalf of Pathfinders' Command, it is my pleasure to promote James "Barber" Barber (TB-31917) to the rank of Ranger! @Barber has completed 100 troops as a Pathfinder, showing true dedication to this Detachment! Congrats, James . Please post a cool pic for use on the Ranger Wall of the Pathfinder Hall of Fame. I've also let @plagu3is know you are eligible to purchase the Ranger patch. Wear it with pride, Pathfinder!
  14. We don't know the exact size because no one has ever gotten their hands on a screen used kit. You can approximate by looking at screen references. You can see the codpiece runs between the first left and right boxes on the belt: The cod strap is 2 inches so you can approximate that the bottom of the codpiece is about 2.5 inches. So creating a taper between the belt and the bottom of the cod is the best way to go. That's how I designed mine.
  15. Yeah you gotta bring that over. It's more than a bit to the left The visible seams do not include the Velcro. You can see them in screenshots. Be sure to refer to the Scoutopedia for references.
  16. Yeah I saw it when the photos first leaked last week! Right now, we're going to "wait and see". Until the episode actually airs, we don't know if this guy and his new gun actually make the final product.
  17. They look about double the width of the tank stripes, but no one is going to hold a ruler up to them!
  18. Soft goods are looking great! I also bumped you up to 501st Legion access. Congrats!
  19. Best kit that you can buy is the Imperial Surplus. It's ABS with a pretty high level of accuracy. If you want maximum accuracy, Mr. Paul's files with the Nico Henderson helmet are the way to go. 3D printing is a lot of work, but it is very rewarding and the ability to size the kit exactly the way you want it is a great bonus. I've 3D printed portions of Paul's kit to complete my Shoretrooper Office. Here is a list of vendors.
  20. I doubt it's THAT long, unless you're a dachshund! I've updated you to 501st Legion access. And while you're at it, check out the Scoutopedia! Lots of production references to help with your build: http://www.501stpathfinders.com/scoutopedia.php We're here for you, so feel free to ask any questions.
  21. Awesome! Hopefully by the time you are doing I'll be finished with the Mandalorian Shoretrooper Squad leader and I'll be ready to tackle this CRL
