Hmm not sure because I haven't run into this issue yet, but maybe silicone? -

Well he also put 4 rivets through it so it might just be time for a new belt. -

It's going to be a little bit trickier now than it has in the past with the new standard. Just gluing it together with E6000 won't be enough. The overlap will need to be filled in in such a way as to make it look like one piece and then the belt will need repainting. -

Try to get your hands on a one-piece belt when you do, since that will make it easier for Lancer. Here are the clips: http://www.theclip.com/store/Metal-belt-clip-661-Tempered-Belt-Clip.html Nice work! -

Looking really good! I am really impressed and I think you should apply for Lancer, but..... Did you rivet your belt together?? -
Helmet, is it worth it?
BikerScout007 replied to DarkSoldier308's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I was just about to say that that looks like a Cucblack helmet. If so, the one from the etsy shop is the same. They are good helmets for people with big heads. I personally don't see anything wrong with the ebay helmet. You may want to inquire of the seller if it is indeed a Cucblack. -

You need to get rid of the little loops that were holding the clips on your gloves too. An exacto knife should do the trick If you are getting new cotton webbing anyway, you may as well replace the shoulder bridges so it all matches Did you use E6000 on the magnet? It should just be able to come off with a bit of force. I glued mine inside my boot to the reinforcement bracket that SC includes with their kit. -

Looks good! I like that your belt, bund and pouch placement are all on point I think for basic you are good to go. However just in case you were interested in Lancer: 1) You need to remove the clips from your gloves 2) The shoulder bells are a bit too long for you. I would lop off about an inch from the bottom and then you can move your other armor up your arm 3) You would need the extra strap and rivets for the knee armor 4) Boot soles need to be cut to match the movie scout. 5) The curve on your codpiece is a chevron and really it should look more like this (ignore the caption text): Looking good though! I look forward to awarding you Pathfinder status once you get cleared by your local GML. And please, go for Lancer in the future -

Making a new Bikerscout armor

That's a great pic for the bund dimensions too! -
Whoa! You're going for extreme accuracy points! Good job
-
He's talking 2 pieces, guys. So they wouldnt be attached to the bund at all. The screen scout cod pieces were sewn to the bottom of the vest and that's how Max's Sci Fi does them Mine is attached by velcro to my flight suit.

Also, the green screen biker chase scenes were the very last things shot for the film. Who knows how many last minute repairs were needed after what the armor had been through. A lot of the "hey what about this exception?" pics that people post are from this part of the movie.

Yes sorry about these little things. We are trying our best to clean up the CRL and make it consistent everywhere but some things fall through the cracks. 1) Yeah we are calling for the boot fronts to be cut too now 2) Yes, exactly. Even and they dont need to hang down so far. SC boxes are bigger than the film scout boxes but if you look at a scout from the movie you'll see the dropboxes arent that far below the belt 3) The 1.75 was just a mistranslation from metric! The two should match and they should be 1.5. -

Okay buddy, here is your to-do list: 1) We can't see the ribs on the bund. I think they are there but we really can't make them out very well. You may want to take photos in the daylight or else make sure the stitches are well defined 2) Your vest sleeves are bunching up. They may be too long or too baggy but there is an issue there. 3) Remove the clips from your gloves 4) The rear drop straps need to come inwards, so they are mounted closer to the Thermal Detonator. They should meet it at the corners ideally. 5) Chest/back joins... use the same stuff you used for your dropbox straps 6) You should use cotton webbing for your shoulder bridges as well 7) Paint the screw heads on his blaster grip black. 8) Move your holster magnet inside your boot so it is not visible from the outside. 9) Suede patches: is that real suede or faux suede? Also, the butt flap seems a bit short. -

Alright buddy, here we go! 1) Front of boot soles need to be cut 2) Pouches are uneven and belt should be brought up to meet them 3) Severe diaper action with the codpiece. You need to make that strap longer. The cod shouldn't be pulled that tight against you. 4) Dropboxes can be brought up and balanced better 5) 2 inch strapping on the chest armor, should 1.5 to match the dropbox straps. 6) The blaster scope sits too far from the blaster itself 7) The blaster barrel is about 5mm too long. -
If your belt is up on your hips, it is in the right place. Too many scouts wear the belts too low so they can allow for bunds that are too long. The problem is almost always the length of the bund and the size of the pouches., which are almost always too big Check out my man's bund and pouches: Your belt is in a great spot. I also like the position of your dropbox. A lot of folks wear those too low. Your shoulder bells look a little too big on you. You might want to lop an inch off the bottom of those. Then you can pull your bicep armor up so it sits on your actual bicep and not down by your elbow. Good job so far!

Thanks for your application! We will review and get back to you. Just for the sake of our convenience (and you do want to make things easy for us, right?) could you edit this post so that the graphics appear inline? Having to click each link to go to Photobucket really slows the process down. Next to the photo in photobucket where it says "share this photo", you click the link next to "IMG" and paste it into your post Many thanks! -
Congrats my dude!

We wouldn't be much of a biker scout costume resource if we didn't now would we? As was stated above, there is no off the shelf, ready to go biker scout costume. You must obtain parts from a variety of sources and then adjust them to fit your build. Please take time to read the many threads on our forums.
