  1. Well, well, look who's here! Welcome Rob
  2. It's not a requirement for basic or Lancer. You can do it for extra credit!
  3. Thanks for your application! We will get back to you soon!
  4. Sounds like you got the technique for the cummerbund down! The codpiece doesnt need to be attached to the cummerbund at all. Mine is sewn to the bottom of my flak vest, as was done with the screen used suits. Other people affix theirs to their undersuit with velcro.
  5. Definitely on my shopping list!
  6. Well we haven't decided yet, but my feeling is we would lean the way the Imperial Officer Corps does and have them as plain as possible. No zippers or buckles. We would really need much better pics of the boots from the film to be totally sure though EDITED 1.28.2019: After taking a closer look at the Hot Toys figure, it looks like the boot posted at the top of this thread would be perfect for Level 2.
  7. For Level 1 they are fine. When we get around to a Level 2 I doubt we will allow the rear zipper and the buckle at the top EDITED 1.28.2019: After taking a closer look at the Hot Toys figure, it looks like the boot posted at the top of this thread would be perfect for Level 2.
  8. We allow Don Post helmets as long as they are modified to look like the screen used, and this looks pretty good other than the "fish hook". It look like it's silver and it should be a dark gray. Similar to the color of the bolts or the snout.
  9. It might be a bit of an expensive order with only 3 of you. We'll see!
  10. Let's give a round of congrats to the Detachment's first "Rangers" -- Pathfinders who have logged over 100 troops in one of our armors! Wayne Sullivan @Ranger Zee, Sumiko Biemiller @Penguin-Padawan and Matthew Schraeder @Schraeder each have reached this achievement, showing their Pathfinder pride at troop after troop. You guys are truly ambassadors of our Detachment. As much as I love to see troopers achieve Level 2 status with their builds, it makes me even happier to see troopers choose a Pathfinder costume to wear when the time comes to go out into the public. Let's get some more Rangers up on the board! http://www.501stpathfinders.com/level2.php
  11. Beat me to it
  12. Much better my dude!
  13. Hot glue on the sides only. Use a lot and make sure it is HOT before you apply it. If you are really having trouble, you can try E6000. Just make sure you are in a very ventilated spot before you apply it and give it at least a day to cure.
  14. Excellent. The Moncal armor is one of the most accurate sets out there. Good luck with your build. We are here for you!
  15. For instance, check out how long my dude's side straps are:
  16. 1.5 inches sounds pretty good to me. I'd go with that. but like Pete said, try it on with the vest. And don't worry about how long you go with the side straps. They can be as wide as they need to be.
  17. I would go much wider on the side straps and bring that Chest armor up. It doesn't need to sit as low as it does. Bottom of the armor should come down to the bottom of the pectoral. Like I always say, the chest armor is more of a bra than something that actually covers the chest.
  18. Hi Jason! I'm in the middle of a Shoretrooper Captain build myself. We have a list of vetted vendors right here: The Shoretrooper is also one of our most popular costumes for the 3D printing community. Here's an example of a Captain that was entirely 3D printed:
  19. Still missing something. What could it be?
  20. Awesome! I'll be watching this thread
  21. The Patrol Trooper CRL can be found here: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Patrol_trooper
  22. Hahaha when I hear "PT" I think of "Full Metal Jacket". But I agree, TB works for this guy.
  23. Thanks for getting that armor done, Denis! I've temporarily given you a Biker Scout badge until we get a Patrol Trooper group and badge made!
  24. Thanks! We've been sitting on it for weeks, waiting for CRL approval for the Patrol! @Shortstack did a great job with it
  25. Pathfinders Command is proud to announce a new costume to the lineup: The Patrol Trooper, as seen in "Solo: A Star Wars Story." This CRL was the result of a lot of hard work with not a whole lot of references! As you know, the Patrol Trooper was in the film for all of 2.5 seconds -- what you saw in the trailer was pretty much it! Thanks to everyone who chipped in on the CRL thread, posting every photo they could possibly find, both from the film and from the Hot Toys Patrol Trooper. And of course huge thanks goes out to Denis Vorobiev, aka @Spiel who was the first to the finish line with his build and is our CRL model. We could not have done this without his help. I also want to give a huge shout out to Chris Reid, aka @Reideemer, our LMO representative who really helped us hone the CRL and get it ready for approval from the whole LMO team. We could not have done this without your guidance, Chris! Now, I did ask for "PT" for the designation, but it looks like the Legion assigned it "TB." In this case, it's not a huge stretch as there are massive similarities between the Scout and the Patrol Trooper. But the CRL is live and you can find it here: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Patrol_trooper AND THAT'S NOT ALL! In anticipation of the Patrol Trooper's approval, we have already prepared its very first merch run. @plagu3is will be posting up the Coin and patch run tonight! The Patrol Trooper helmet logo will be joining the rotation on the splash page, and we have a new forum banner also featuring our newest member -- designed by the one and only @Shortstack Pathfinders -- always moving forward!
