Okay, helmet is all finished!

Okay, got my replacement snout and it's much better then the first one (Thanks DVH) I still needed to do some sanding and puttying and sanding and painting but it was much better. Now, I painted it all in flat paint, do you guys use flat paint or do you gloss/semi gloss the snout greeblie?

something else the CRL should take into consideration along with what was available back in the early 80's is what NOT available now days that was in the early 80's

I have the trooperbay lens and once on it's hard to tell it's green

I think an air brush would take you a month of sundays to complete

the problem is, even tho "John" seems to be the issue, the whole company suffers because like 01Hawk I probably wouldnt deal with this "company" either. It seems to me that anyone that stands to make money off the reputation of this vendor should be busting their *** to fix this for ThatThingOnTheFloor to keep the reputation of the "company" in tact. This whole "I'm not the guy you need to deal with" and "I'll see what I can do" isnt good enough to me when $400 is on the line. Personally if it was me and I dropped that kind of cash I a) would have made damn sure I didnt send a paypal "gift" and b.) I would have filed a claim before the time frame expired. I'm fairly understanding but to be admittedly "forgotten" about and then put off by the only person that I could get any contact with.......ppfffttt forget it.

on my MLC the chin cup doesnt touch but I suppose it depends on the size and shape of your melon what I dont understand is, if the chin cup isnt visible to the public when the helmet is worn, why does it have to be "approved"? I mean if you cant see it, a rubber band and a piece of coffee cup lid should be "approvable"........whats with the strict guidelines on something that cant be seen?

I liked the CB lid but the ear holes and hump were too off for me, if he fixed that it would look great, thats why I liked the NI lid but no one had anything good or bad to say about the guy/service and I wasnt about to drop that kind of cash on a unknown vendor, but it looked great.

I almost bought that helmet, it looks really good, but I settled on a MLC because no one here could recommend NI (the one you're looking at). But it's a good looking helmet.

scout.trooper, what helmet is that? It looks like a MLC but the snout on mine doesnt kick out like that one.

Okay, got my new barcode decal and installed it, still not exactly where I wanted it but MUCH better then the first time and I plan on leaving them alone Also got the 3M covers on.

is there anything that can be done about the camel toe? this is one part of the costume (not just yours but when ever I see it) that has always bugged me........ Nothing against your costume, it looks really good to me, just a question I have

Thanks Lou, I cleaned the heck out of that thing with dish soap and a tooth brush (not mine) before I painted it and let it dry for a few days, so if the release agent was still on there, thats some powerful stuff you use. Do you need my address again or have ya got it?

hahaha, okay okay I already applied my "official" fish hook but I was stumped as to what this one was for, I had never seen it on any SW helmets
