if it helps the barcode whoas is in my build thread along with some advice on putting it on
-
Trooper bays are a mix a of both kinds. The traps are regular decals and so are the snout and forehead stripes, the barcode and fish hook are the type your thinking of (be careful with the bar code, it's touchy putting on)

I have a MLC v3 too and like it a lot, it's not 100% accurate but it's a great helmet, very little finish work to do and only took about a month to receive

Review of the NI Scout Trooper Helmet V2
spookymufu replied to kelt_knight's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
if I can make a suggestion.... to get better more accurate pics with much less distortion, try standing back from the helmet about 4-6ft, zoom in on it and take the pics, this reduces the camera distortion quite a lot... -
depending on the visor material you might need more heat then a hair dryer cant produce, for mine I used the oven at 300 degrees and placed it on top of two bowls and waited for it to droop between them and then took it out and pressed it into my helmet until it cooled then used hot glue to hold it in place http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=11862&view=findpost&p=102931

that barcode gave me fits trying to get it on right, I had to get two and remove the first one. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=11862

ah it IS a decal, cool.......mine came with actual vents that I had to cover up with a decal....
-
I meant the nose bridge "vent" thingy....
-
is that a "nose" decal or does the helmet have openings cut into it?

Biker Scout Helmet visor and how it originally worked
spookymufu replied to lonewolf's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
not exactly, no notch, but a ramp and knobby type friction system, I thought it was like you were showing but after checking it out a little closer it's similar but not exactly the same I wanted to get a Lone Wolf helmet, but the guy that makes them never emailed me back about purchasing one........looks like I missed out on a nice helmet... -
Biker Scout Helmet visor and how it originally worked
spookymufu replied to lonewolf's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I would have to take my visor off to show it but I have the bolt covers all glued on and it would be a chore to get the visor off. The MLC v3 had the little ramp built into it that the visor edge "runs" up on and then friction does the rest -

Undersuit Questions for the Lady Scouts
spookymufu replied to Cheshire's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
I was just curious what TR was and usually you can find that out by looking at the costuming details on the profiles but yours didnt come up with any info, guess yours is not public........no worries, you answered my Q thanks -
well, before you do anything, wait until more seasoned members chime in. My post is just my personal opinion and I have no experience with whats approvable or not.

just my opinion, but I think it would look better more opened up as per the screen used helmet
