Prop store auction helmet?
spookymufu replied to Pandatrooper's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
something looks off with this helmet It says it was made during the filming of ROTJ but it looks different from the screen used props EDIT: never mind, I just watched the video and it looks really good....... -
I have a build thread in the helmet section for the MLC too if you're interested
-
AMEN!

I ordered direct from him and it was pretty fast, I think less then 2mo. Not sure if it was cheaper directly from MLC or not tho
-
yeah, just my opinion, but it looks like the helmet sits up a little too high on your noggin

Hmmm...Which bucket to sell? KS or NewImage
spookymufu replied to Gato's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I prefer the looks of the NI myself -
is there possibly too much space between the top of your head and top of the helmet? it looks like it's sitting up too high....
-
I'm no expert but it looks like the bicep part with the T bits are upside down.....
-
Pete, are contacting MC for the info or MLC directly?

eFx scout helmet preorders ready july 8
spookymufu replied to Donovan's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
this is defiantly meant as a collectors piece for display and maybe try on once in a while, but defiantly a display piece and not for "trooping"........As I said before, it looks great and I dont have an issue with it being FiberGlass except it isnt film accurate that way and if it was going to be sold as most accurate then it should have been made EXACTLY like the originals were and if that wasnt feasible then the price should reflect the fact that it isnt most accurate. I cant wait to see a LW and this efx helmet side by side and a full on review of them both together... -
nice score, I couldnt even get an email back after he said he was doing a run back in Feb....

well, you cant blame Gino for his defense of this helmet, after all he works for EFX, it is a very nice looking helmet and the accuracy could be spot on to the screen used originals, but I have to agree, at the end of the day, price is a concern for 90% of "us" and this is VERY high when you consider you can get one un-licecenced for a fraction of the price and will be very close to the originals, but as stated above, what price do you put on linage? -
maybe it's just my eyes but the helmet face plate looks crooked and the three stripes on the "forehead" look off center too. Might just be my eyes tho

EFX Scout Trooper helmet -update
spookymufu replied to gino's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
for that price it better have gold inlay inside it and Lucas better have moulded it with his own hands -
I can wear my glasses under my MLC with no real sight issues
-
Ive never heard that before, I have just rubbed em as I rolled em on to get the bubbles out and then peeled the backing off at the same time
-
^^ but.........how do ya'll reach the peddles?
-
Musicaljedi, you can get a rivet gun and rivets at Harbor Freight for about $5, of course you'll need a lot more rivets but the tool and some rivets of different sizes will run ya $5
