Tristan's Biker Scout Build (Help/Advice Appreciated)
gmrhodes13 replied to trismis50's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Looking forward to the build progress, good luck -
Congratulations and welcome aboard

Not that I have heard off, we do like to add scratches and dirt over time, makes the armor look more authentic

A fellow female biker in our garrison normally wears a one piece but for longer troops she prefers two wear a two piece for bathroom breaks. Unless you want to take everything off to go to the bathroom then a two piece is a good option

Tips for painting the white circle on the tank topper?
gmrhodes13 replied to Chopper's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I had some left over sticker material and cut around a coin and used this as a template for painting, I used black first to fill gaps in case of any bleed through then went over with white paint -
I actually put on some of the easy grip masking tape, it's used for painting, just for a guide then went slow applying the stripes

Great looking display, nice work

Depends on helmet, I know a few members who have removed the arms and use elastic to hold the lens on to their heads. Another has his lens attached to the inside of the helmet. What every works
-
I removed the laces and replaced with flat elastic

Very nice, well done

I would hold off on making any changes at this time while your application is under review -
I made a metal rail for my blaster and recessed some magnets into the base of the holster so it's not seen from the outside, I don't have a build for it but I will take some photos next time I have the boots out.

A cannon event is one that you are supposed to look as accurate as possible, these are normally LFL (Lucas Film) events. Non cannon events, pretty much any other event you can carry what you want (will your local garrison approval) Great info on events in the 501st trooper survival guide http://databank.501st.com/databank/TrooperSurvivalGuide Although I have a biker pistol with lights and sound I also made a sniper rifle for those bigger than Ewok pests Blasters don't usually fall out of the holsters if you use magnets or Velcro to hold them in. Although there is a hole in the bottom the handle stops the blaster from going all the way through, the hole is smaller than the whole blaster

Hello and welcome aboard I'd agree with the belt boxes and flares, weathering I personally wouldn't have an issue with

Having a few issues with your photos, seem a lot are rotated sideways, this can happen when they are taken on a mobile phone. I suggest rotating your biceps around further to the front. Also adjust your belt boxes so they are both sitting at the same heights. Looks like you have an extra thick black strip on the hump pin striping. Elastic on butt flap seems to have some ridges/stitching, hard to make out. Perhaps take your photos with a little higher resolution so details can be clearer. -
Welcome back and good luck with the build
