Thats too dark. Needs to be light gray. Similar to the snout & bolt color.

On suede you don't need to heam anything, there is nothing to unravel. They are refering to the sides & bottom if you are using micro fiber (faux suede) you will have to heam the edges. But this is for "Basic" clearance, not Lancer.

Bring yor shoulder bells up just a bit, maybe 1/2". Then the biceps can come up too. The "Tbits" should face at 3 & 9 O'clock. Imagine your belly button being 6 O'clock. You may need to trim some off your shoulder bells. I had to do this for my wife. 5'7 & 110lbs, iss a skinny scout

It doesn't matter what you wear under your helmet as long as your neck & chin are covered. That is all that can been seen while wearing your helmet.

When ordering a RedKap coverall, you want to order the CT-10. I do make the riding suit in Basic & Lancer. But I do my sewing outside due to my eyes not working too good with indoor lighting. This El Nino has hit us with a wet/cold spell & I can't remember the last time I wore a jacket in Oct/Nov. i can probably squeeze 1-3 riding suits in before the really bad weather gets here & I have to close up shop for the winter. So drop me a PM for price & instructions on how to get a perfect fit riding suit.

You don't need to remove it, just leave it open. I sometimes forget to snap the top button closed. Once your fully suited up you can not tell if it's open or closed.

I know it's not the same but I used this as a base when I built my scout carbine. I used a Clone Comander Blaster as a base & modified it with a Nerf expandable stock, added greeblies to the scope. Used some PVC, 7-Up bottle for the lense & some brass knobs for the windage & elevation knobs. Still makes movie sounds when trigger is pulled.

Thanks Marcel, i will start in these next week.

I used industrial strenth sticky Velcro "loop" or soft side & stuck it to the inside of the plastic belt. I sewed regular non sticky "hooK" or hard Velcro on to the nylon belt & attach it that way. I did this in the 4 spots where the belt touches the plastic belt. Been wearing my belt for over 2 years now & never came off. Made my wife's belt same exact way.

Hello All, I have a very strange request. I know how to make the biker scout boots for myself & my wife. But Im helping a buddy across the country. He wants me to make the "shafts" or upper part of his boots. He wears a size 12 mens work boot. Here's where I need help. Can someone who wears a size 12 work boot & has made Scout boots for themselves or another tell me the measurment of the bottom of the vinyl "cone" & what size half circle I should cut out from the bottom. Thanks

Changes in the SC armor for Lancer approval?
Chunk replied to bradyapba's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I placed the loop velcro on the inside of my breast plate & sewed 2 6" strips on the top of the bund. It keeps the chest armor in place & you dont get that ugly gap when walking around. I also sewed velcro on my jumpsuit biceps to keep the bicep armor from falling down. And agsin on the vest shoulders to keep the shoulder bells in place. -
Sarah I will get them in the mail tomorrow if I don't do overtime at work. If not I will drop them off Friday (my day off) morning. With any luck you will have them by Saturday, Monday at the latest since we're both in Ca.

Ears need to be opened up more. The eye lense needs to be "rounded" on the drop portion & a lil more taken off the top.

Hi Sarah, I have some you can have. Just pay shipping & they are yours. They are all black & will need to be painted. This is what I have & they have never chipped or faded in the 2 years I've been wearing my scout. This is them on my Biker Scout & Snow Scout helmets.

Backside Flap and placement of the bands around the upper leg.
Chunk replied to Jakeputt's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
The mud flap is ok height wise. It will be hidden by the cumberbund. It may be a lil too long, but can't tell until you have the bund on. The leg bands are too low. Spread the jumpsuit legs wide open. See that center seam, measure 2" each way from that seam & pin the top of the elastic there on each side. Tack down with a couple stiches to hold in place Then sew your riding patch over to secure. -
yup, just like that

Sand the trigger guard, & wash with soapy water then rinse good. Mask everything off except the trigger guard & repaint.

If you plan on cutting the soles. Stop now. Be a waste of time if you got a beautiful top boot then accidently messed up the sole. Anyhooo... Just take a ruler or something with a straight edge & mark with a pencil straight up from the current notches. Then blacken them in so you know you have to cut this part out. Take your time & use a new exacto knife. Do it slowly & very carfully. Took me just over 2hr each boot.

Thats how my TD was.

Yes 1.5g is about as thin as you can get in leather. You want thin stuff to use on your suit. Just make sure you buy #16 needles. 1.5g suede i can sew with 1 needle. I used 3g suede once & I broke about 4 needles getting it done. Thats why i reccomend using 1.5-2.5g suede.
