  1. hi...i'm fine with a sewing machine (made my own Maul robes), but not with metal clips/buckles. i know there are good makers of the ST nylon belt with the metal clip...but i can't find a list of them anywhere. help!? thanks
  2. Thanks. That’s helpful, especially the pic showing the “window” for the strap to feed through, and showing the snap attached to webbing that is “Zap a Gap”ed to the armor. But the snaps for the belt are through the ABS. How do you put a snap through ABS?
  3. I see here the placement: Looking for som pics of how folks have cut the strap and attached them to their an section. Thanks
  4. Would getting the Mark Sherman bits work to upgrade an original hyperfirm E-11 to clearance RO E-11?
  5. I’ve had them in a rubber band to help curve them. If that doesn’t do the trick, I’ll give it a boil. Thanks
  6. Ha. Yes. That would be great. Thanks
  7. I was surprised by the stiffness of the IS and wondered how easy they’d be to wear, store, wear again, etc. If they’d hold up over time. Are the two the same material? Does the MPSB need a different adhesive?
  8. I have an IS kit. I’ll wondering about the straps and how they compare in flexibility with the ones by Mr. Paul and whether or not to swap them out - flexibility, weight, etc. Running low on money set aside for the build. Are the Mr. Paul straps worth the purchase? Any thoughts? Thanks
  9. nope...been a while...but i've only jsut gotten around to the build. damned Covid should have given me plenty of time to get started...but being a teacher, it's been hellish! thanks for the ideas
  10. The collar I got with my kit is broken and cracked. Any way to fix this? Or is this a “it’s broken, please send me a new one” situation? thanks
  11. what is this piece? just some ABS with a snap?
  12. about how long was the print time?
  13. Any pics of the lower “jaw” part printed? need to orde PLA. How many spools will I need? thanks
  14. plastazote on amazon is 40" x 40"...so that would work. it's listed as 1/4". is that the correct thickness? and is this the same thickness on the sides of the chest and back?
  15. Hi... Longtime Scout, sometime Darth Maul...and building a Shoretrooper. I've been sourcing the Plastazote (not cheap)...and am wondering about the EVA option. the thickness of the hip armor is 1/4"??? or am i off? thanks MA
  16. Hi im also in the process of upgrading my kit - original jumpsuit has seen its day. One thing confuses me about the CRL (which I like and have agreed with previous requests for clarity)...so here’s mine. A raglin sleeve is one where the seam runs from the armpit across the collar bone to the collar (front and back)...like a baseball style t-shirt. However, the CRL pic of the vest is a standard sleeve. I know there was great debate about which was used in the film, and I’m happy to go with a raglin sleeve, but think the pic should be of a raglin sleeved vest. Thoughts?
  17. I was thinking to get the ST...at $600, I’d still have enough to get modded pieces to correct as needed.
  18. greetings... i see that Headshot Props is now making kits...anyone have any insight as to the quality/need for mods/etc??? http://headshotprops.com/shore-trooper-armor-kit/ thanks
  19. hey all... so i think i'll be going with 850AW...but looking for input/feedback on any parts that i'll need to swap out with more accurate pieces, especially in the ab section that i know they've been improving. anyone with V4 that can give me a heads up, i need to begin my budgeting and searching for those parts.
  20. Could I ask you to share/PM pics of your shins before putting on? Let be to see the set up
  21. For building the hip plates and strips along sides of chest - how much would I need? Amazon carries sheets: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01NBYYHY0/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1522677922&sr=8-5&keywords=plastazote&dpPl=1&dpID=510YiQYUVCL&ref=plSrch
  22. Looks like no longer available on eBay
  23. That honeycomb fabric is "spacing fabric"...they used it on the DREDD (2012) vests, and a thinner version is used for a lot of sneakers.
  24. I'm planning to redo my bund (it's served me well over the last four years, but needs to be retired). if i go with the "codpiece attached to the vest", but keep a little length on the bund so that it doesn't slip above the belt, then i'm still good? and what about applying for Lancer? will the two-piece version be a barrier to Lancer status?
