  1. That looks good too. I found the stickers a little bit big. So I went back with a little exacto knife and carefully cut the top portion to be more inline with the inner bevel. Just me though...
  2. Looks great. This part was the hardest for me.
  3. Thanks guys! It was fun and I learned a lot. My 501st profile was just updated so I'm good to go.
  4. Great looking kit! Have fun with your build and ask questions. This site has all you need to know and lots of great people.
  5. Well guys...I started working on this costume in early June. I've met a lot of great folks on here and thanks to tons of advice, lessons learned, and a few bumps, I have completed the Imperial Scout Trooper costume! The approval pics are submitted and Approved. I'm just awaiting the addition to my 501st profile. Thanks for all the help and guidance!
  6. Yeah, the MC snout w/the riser is the best option IMHO. I have one w/out the riser and ended up making one.
  7. Okay fellow biker scouts...I have completed my build! I added the boot holster yesterday and the rivet gun was not as bad as I thought. If you are working on a build and are intimidated by that dang thing...don't worry. It's not that bad! I will be working on my approval pics this weekend and will post when completed. Thanks for all the support and help! Jim
  8. You'll be happy with the KS bucket.
  9. Hey fellow Star Garrison-CTX brotha! I have the KS helmet and it fits my large melon. It took a while to arrive, but I'm really happy with it. They are really good helmets. The MC helmet is more screen accurate in size, shape, and is a lot tougher. I think they look really nice too, IMHO.
  10. I spent some time on the helmet this weekend. I have replaced the KS decals with Trooperbay decals, replaced the KS snout with one I picked up from a very cool fellow BSN member, and painted things to match. I'm tackling the bolt covers next... I also updated the KS thermal det. with gray to cover the black hose. I also tweaked the holster with a med-heat gun and got the bend I was looking for...so I'll be doing the rivet gun tonight.
  11. I used Tester's gray for my snout and it matches the Trooperbay decals pretty well.
  12. Great idea. Plus...it kind of gives it that "greeblie" inside look rather than just regular foam.
  13. Great work on the black lines...this is very tricky. I painted my KS bucket this weekend and yours tops mine man.
  14. I use a tote bin from Lowes hardware store. It has wheels on one side so you can load up and go. I have a huge one for my TX costume and a smaller tote for this one. Also waterproof and you can almost sit on it.
  15. Okay...so back to the TB project! I plan to work on the boot holster this weekend. I have 1/8 rivets and read several tutorials. The problem is this KS holster is B-I-G. It does not wrap around my leg correctly. I plan to try and "help" it into shape with a low watt heat gun. What do you guys think?
  16. Check out Geoff's forum for the bolt covers...I picked up a set for mine. http://forum.bikersc...l=&fromsearch=1 I picked up a snout greeblie from a fellow scout on here and it's a nice screen accurate mold. Let me know how your MC snout goes! Your getting closer!!
  17. It looks cleaner and smoother. Nice.
