  1. Agreed, I think it is part of the fun! Luis is really leading the pack on us newbies!
  2. Very cool! I like that scope and the stock. Nice job!
  3. Frank is awesome! The Heavy Mod link is really cool to see what you did to a Rubies bucket.
  4. Thanks for sharing! I ended up with a Red Kap suit but this one is really nice and I like the mandarin collar.
  5. I think a hair dryer should work. That lens material is strong but should get plyable once it's warmer and you can get some bend out of it. Okay, I'm sure there are a lot of takes on glue. I personally use Gorilla Glue - Super for most plastic things. I've found it works good for me, sets quickly, and lasts if you let is bond and cure/dry. Just my 2 cents...
  6. Very nice! For the lens, I use a heat gun to get the bend/angle just right. That should help you to hold it in place as you glue it. are you going inside or outside for the lens placement?
  7. Looking really good Luis! Your bund looks great too.
  8. Thanks for the heads up! BTW...We got some temps in the 105-s here in Texas.
  9. Got it. Thank you Dave. I appreciate all the knowledge you possess!
  10. I looked online and found lots of options. IN the end, I got this one on ebay for $99. I did not want a face on it...too weird for me and the wife!
  11. Thanks Dave. I appreciate the feedback. I'm getting some more alterations to make it fit better too. The back side is ugly with safety pins for now. I'm getting there though!
  12. I did not catch that one. I've got my pouches attached to the cummerbund via velcro. Is that bad?
  13. Hey everyone! I've been working on my build and wanted to post come pics. My goal is to end up with a 501st approved costume I can wear - and a life size figure. I have most of my soft parts and I am working on the getting the suit up to speed (thigh patch, butt flap, etc). My armor kit is coming from KS...should be anytime now! Feedback welcome - so here it goes: Boots: Gloves: Schumpa Balaclava: Cummerbund: So far:
  14. Wow, that looks pretty cool. The lens should be there soon too!
  15. I went with a Red Kap coverall in my business suit size. It only had 4 pockets to remove and has a hidden zipper front with a good collar. Plus, it's really inexpensive and good quality. http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/RedKap/CT10/coveralls.html
  16. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
