  1. I have some lens material left over from a TK helmet. When I ordered the 3mm sheets, I got 2 in case I needed it. Well...I have way too much. If you want some, send me a PM.
  2. Thank you! I am using Krylon gray primer, w/flat black and then a bright metallic and a darker metallic. I'm using q-tips and a sponge. I don't have it down fully, but getting better!
  3. I like the little hand-held. Here's my non-canon BFG, also a Nerf Recon CS-6. Before: During: After: Also just finished an E-11 kit.
  4. Cool topic and nice job. I also modified a CS-6 as a non-canon BFG. Before: During: After:
  5. Thanks John. I need to check that option out. Sorry for the link.
  6. I actually own the 1st flight suit and use it for cold days on the motorcycle. In the end, it was too baggy even though it is rather close fitting. Plus, way too many zippers and do-dads to take off. I like the Proban racing suit and ordered one for the long haul. It has the best specs and wear, plus the mandarin collar. In the interim, I found this suit and it fits really nice. If you get one, go with your business suit size. http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/RedKap/CT10/coveralls.html
  7. Wow, looking real good. I love your helmet ideas.
  8. Sweet! I really like the overall approach. I can't remember...have you scored a blaster yet?
  9. Very nice. Did you use anything as a backing on the inside? I really like the removable Chicago screw idea too. Looks cool.
  10. Impressive! You and my bro should meet. He has tons of vintage Star Wars toys. I collect mostly Stormtroopers and stuff and do a blog based on the figures (banner). Great site and overall work you are doing!
  11. Looking good! I'm new and in the same boat as you...although you are further in the race than me! The new flight suit looks much better and not so baggy. I like what you did to the shoulder parts and the back tank. It looks clean and the tank does not look separate, or dis-joined. I have seen that with different armor kits out there. I can't really offer much more since I'm totally new too. Kudos to you though!!!
  12. I ordered the helmet and armor from KS in July. I'll post pics when the set arrives and gets assembled. Hopefully they have improved on the QC of the armor.
  13. Hey Christian - how did the bucket turn out? It's looking good.
  14. Great post...I've got a KS on the way and will use this one. As always, thanks Witness!
  15. I'm just waiting on the armor/holster for mine. I'm interested in the Chicago screw idea...I have never been a rivet head.
  16. I will be saying "DOH" a lot...! I'm all thumbs and can't sew my way out of a paper bag. But, I'm learning!
