I have a round earth magnet in the transistor section of my blaster. It corresponds with a metal piece on the inside of my boot holster. Holds it in nicely.

Chef makes some mighty fine vests and bunds. Chunk also does an outstanding job on Redkap modded jumpsuits.

The flak vest became a requirement in Nov 2011, along with the suede patches, butt flap, and elastic bands on the thighs. Prior to that, they were not required. You may be seeing scouts that were approved in early 2011 or prior to the CRL and basic approval requirement updates. Personally, wear all the right gear or you don't look the part. It'd be like Boba without his vest, no Bueno!

I agree with Mickey, you're looking good. Nice work on the bund fix, too. I also see a new Lancer coming up!

Lindsey - very nicely done. As mentioned above, just a few tweaks and you'll look top notch. I do not see anything that would hold up approval at this point. The bund closure should really be more on centered up but you can work on that little tweak. Very impressive considering you did this on your own! You go girl!

I have 6 costumes in the Legion (one is a Shadow Scout). I can tell you first hand the scout is the most comfortable and is a cool costume for trooping. Kids love the scout and you can walk, run, and sit down. It's nearly impossible to do that in a classic TK Stormtrooper! Go scout all the way!

Here's the deal guys: although the part # is the same and the pics show grey, you'll end up with the black version of these bolts. And, it's got a rounded top. The grey bolts were phased out by 3m and replaced by the black version. I've been down this road and want to save you some grief.

It should be about 1/2" to 3/4" past the bell. You need to leave room for your bicep parts.
