Mine slips inside, then I have a bolt under the scope that winds in to secure it through a hole

The mg 42 is not right at all for a scout rifke
-
Personally I'm not a fan of made up blasters / rifles being used, that being said a lot of guys do. At what they call non cannon events, you would need to speak to your GML and see what they would allow. We are not allowed to carry made up weapons at any event full stop
-
The receiver shape is similar but the greeblies are different. The barrel is also more square ish shape, with a curved top, with slots similar to a mg42 but still not the same. The flash hider is also very different to the 19. All three are very different rifles

Coming along nicely bud

It's a great idea and something I'm yet to sort for myself. When I started in 2008 some of the UKG guys were using the trooper com internal chat system, but it never seemed to catch on for some reason. Basically exactly what you posted Brian, I hope to see Robs system used more and couple to the Rom fx sound board is a lot if fun. I want it, just not got round to sorting it out for myself

Tb-6413 Lancer Request (WITHDRAWN)

There are a few issues that jump out to me, the boots are far too short. There is also too much stitching on the rear velcro closure. The velcro on the bund must not have the X stitch showing. Pouches want padding up a little. I would also like to see the TD greeblie flipped over to match the other lancers -
Hello Meike and welcome to the BS.N good to have you here

I cut the spikes off the bottom of my MG bipod legs, as no spikes can be Sen on the reference. Plus you will scratch the hell out of what ever you put it on. Are you at Legoland this weekend Mark? Il be there as sniper scout Saturday and Sunday if you want to check mine out or take photos

No problem man

In need of Laser cut Thermal Det Clips for Lancer

Have look in the trade section -
I usually make mine to suit not squared, you will ned to remove a angled piece of fabric where the velcro sits. With 6" difference it will get a point at the bottom, not an issue for male troopers who usually are bigger at the top, as the point is then hidden by the back armour

Why not make the rivet functional, and attach the hump with a L bracket ?

The width fitting on these type of boots are generally a little wider than a standard show. You can always fill them out with an insole or similar. There is plenty of better boots on eBay UK, so they must have them else where also as they are all made in China. Sizes smaller than a men's 5 would fall into the kids/ youth sizes. Ladies are on there also, but generally are more expensive for the same boot which is wierd. Best to try in men's and see what you are and buy mens for sure
-
Id say there is better donor boots out there, and the colour and angle where the sole goes in to the stitching isn't great, and will be harder to get the toe trims round and tucked in nice. But they could work, just not the best. Sometime cheap isn't the best option though trooper

Scout is certainly possible as a self dress costume, I always do mine on my own. It's all about finding a way that works for you.
-
Going by the top picture, I'd say the middle scout has gone way over board on the weathering, especially around the boot area. The left scout I'd say is boardering too heavy, I'd knock the boots back a touch possibly. But it's each of their own, scouts aren't supposed to be heavily weathered, but if that's their personal taste it comes down to what a GML will allow.

Altmanns is large fitting also
-
Weathering is fine if it's not too much, personally I hate the black over spray they put on the film scouts. No thought went into them in my eyes, I opted for some light earth tones. Similar to what actually would be found in a forest. Just don't go too heavy with the chips, if you look a real bikers helmets, small chips are common, so why not in the scouts

My advice is to stop trying to buy a Makita drill belt clip, and buy one that is actually made to be a scout TD belt clip. Chef sells them super cheap in the trade section bro, and are accurate looking -
As said rubber boots will be no good sorry, I also would suggest you stay away from steel toe capped boots. Generally they are too round on the tie and are very hard to pin into. Make sure you pick a boot with a one colour sole and no visible stitching
