ooo - to avoid confusion and to confirm this one looks a close match to the washed out look I have a colour more matching Mr B original suggestion, which appears slightly more bold in piccies - both are ok for clearance. Both types of paint schemes are on these troopers standing next to each other was just thinking abt the paint job. you could template the main shape and use rattle cans, as the camo really have quite a spidery look to it rather than rounded. then do a over spray - like you have on the sheet you did your colour tests on! that should give that uneven edge look? I hear of good news on this front, Kev is still beavering away on the molds -
the brown looks good, the green is too light. even with a template - the edges of the camo are too well defined I would say hand paint or airbrush with sponging of the edges for the most accurate look.

which colours - all of em? I am UK based, and have em, but I am sure a US based trooper could do it for you? lmk Nate

Look up my build for the belt, I think I did some pics of it. Those rectangular grey bits are shoulder tabs. It does look like u are missing the buckle, it should be a smll vac formed piece. You probably could scratch build one? Otherwise, nice progress man.

agree with all comments so far nothing that cant be fixed with some weathering. straps - not covered by CRL as its one of these CGI vs real life issues. MB built his without, some troopers like it with. SO we have left it to individual discretion. An inconspicuous colour is recommended though, like black or left over dyed DPM. 2 further issues (1) in addition to the bells, the biceps also have to be pulled upwards - small issue, easy fix. (2) the colour scheme has one too many colours - yellow. This was thought to be in when Mr Bungles did his original build thread in 2009, but has since to discussed quite extensively and is no longer part of the colour scheme (even prior to the finalisation discussions regarding the colour scheme for the CRL submission as of this year). Not long now trooper! Nate

nice one mate kits parts look good, although the most obvious thing to fix (and also the easiest to fix) - is the way its sitting on you. the armour looks like its hanging to low in several areas. the bicep armour should sit JUST under the bell. And the elbow armour also has to be pulled up. The cummerbund appears to be sitting low, as does the belt, the overall look is that its elongating your body? In contrast - the chest armour appears to be sitting a little high - again a common problem. By doing these 2 suggestions (ie pulling bund and belt up and lowering the chest plate) - you will fix the rd spacing problem of the large space between the bottom edge of your chest armour and the top edge of the 1st bund box. I'd agree with Grumpy abt the straps to the Bells. It stops mine from flopping about. I would change to either black, or if you have dyed DPM left, you can use that too! Comm tech is correct, the decal should only be on YOUR left of the visor. Looking good trooper, wont be long now Nate

**move to kashyyyk trooper HQ** Hey Daniel, drop into kashyyyk trooper HQ section. Have a read of a few pinned topics on how to get started, then the mr bungle tutorial in the armour section. The kashyyyk trooper is a great costume, but is quite involved. Have a read through a few build threads, then drop me a pm if u have any questions. Oh do a little intro thread too when u got a minute, helps people get to know you Nate

I hope you have had armour sorted. we are kind of in limbo at the moment, but rest assured there are plans in the works for new armour suppliers. Nate

I am now in the final stages of compiling our CRL for 501st submission the wordings is sorted, and now its the pictures for the actual library entry. For those of you not familiar with the format - have a look at the entry for a clone trooper - http://www.501st.com...ing:TC_stdgrunt I want to get as many of the cleared CBs to be part of our CRL, so the more the merrier. However, this is to showcase our favourite costume, so I gonna have to be picky, no offence is intended! Also, as a nod to services towards the costume, I have chosen to use Mr Bungles excellent costume as full frontal front and back shot. Guidelines: - no guarantee that the picture you submit will be used - I understand that there are costumes cleared in the past prior to the new CRLs being written, so this is no slight to those that have gone before, but I am looking for pictures that meet with the current CRL - http://forum.bikersc...?showtopic=9409 - photos to be taken on a plain background to make for easier modifying - use as high a resolution as possible - photos to be taken in good light - positions of armour to replicate other CRL entires eg http://www.501st.com...ing:TC_stdgrunt those interested can submit pictures to 4365modacct@gmail.com you may submit anonymously or those that wish can list what you want to send pics in of below so we can form a check list of what else needs to be done. thank you for your time Brothers and Sisters of the Swamp. Nate -
there are some fans of templates - but I am not one of em I think painted by hand. base coat, brown then green by hand. The camo has uneven, but angular look, with ill defined feathered edges (sponge) you can see the general pattern in the cleared troopers here - http://forum.bikersc...?showtopic=9453 as a general rule. less is more. as there are swathes of non-camo on the pattern. do the base coat (colours suggested in CRL page), then the brown - post up pics at the time. I suggest starting with a small part eg the knee or shoulder bell. once you get that part done, you will have the confidence to do the rest. It will be fine trooper ! Nate
