  1. nice work trooper I would look back on ref images of the movie to plan your camo. once you start it will go quick! theres also the Swamp Gallery to check what others have done before good luck mate
  2. nice one mate soz for later reply - pm returned looks like you are well on your way on the BDU I would suggest dying it at this moment including all the bits of removed pockets, so that you get nice dyed pieces of cloth to make you thigh pouches and the colour mandarin collar! Nate
  3. MB - I would be interested in that! was gonna sacrifice my armour to make a UK equivalent available, but if you have FG ones - lmk! Nate
  4. still cleaning up the forums and old pinned posts. you might want to check this WIP out then - http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=8871 its the new build up, its not quite complete - but its on-going Nate
  5. Nice cant wait to see u complete this!!
  6. mate..... interesting development in the CB world, wondering if you would be willing to take up the gauntlet on this http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9462 I know you got a very full plate as is.... but have a nice long think abt it mate Nate
  7. hmmm thinking as a group, it would make sense for RKD to take this on if he is willing? He is already more than half way through the GM build (ie the bottom half is the same armour, mostly) will drop him a post and direct him here Nate
  8. sorry to hear that Heather. anything you need help with on the costume pls let me know. peaches - pm replied
  9. Heather, if u have just been cleared, there are serious issues with your costume. You are more then welcome on our forums, and we are very happy to help u improve on it. there are components of ur set up that appear to be parts previously stated NOT to be used on a Kashyyyk Trooper. It appears that armour used is a tb chest and back, and u have used a molle vest for ur cummerbund. Theres also a list of other parts which are not merely inaccurate, but are wrong on a kashyyyk trooper. I am happy to post here or via private pm if u prefer. Its not ur fault. However ur case and clearance will be referred to BSN admin and the 501st LMO. Thank you. Nate
  10. with the announcement of his retirement, I am sure my fellow Kashyyyk Troopers will join in some cheers for Mr Bungle for services to our beloved costume! Along with the other pioneer pghfett - thanks for all the boundaries you pushed for the costume mate. Without you, there surely wouldn't be as many of us as there are. Thanks for all the effort over the last few years with the pulling of armour, helmets and greebs. Thanks for the skill and talent of bringing this costume to life for all of us. Thanks for being a good friend. I hope you arent leaving me to moderate on my own! Best of luck on your next project, already looking forward to it! Hip hip... HOORAY Hip hip...HOORAY Hip Hip.......
  11. wow nice move mate I am sure there will be some interested parties! I myself am gonna take you up on the offer mate - but as always, will be a slow burn project for me! take care man Nate
  12. lol yep I meant that side. no I meant the correct side. oh never mind!!
  13. you are a cleared CB - so in a way it makes no difference to your troopability but as with all detachment armourers - we always try to encourage people to continually upgrade their gear its isnt set in stone yet, but have a look at the new CRLs we are building - http://forum.bikersc...?showtopic=9409 if you are interested - these are a few observations from the pictures above: (1) you seem to be missing decals from your lid - the under eye stripes and the logo on the right side of you visor (pointed out by eagle-eyed Grumpy) (2) cummerbund has horizontal stripes - its meant to be vertical (3) front and back armour should overlap (4) cant quite see, but you need to check on the number of your pouches - there should be a total of 16 on the cummerbund. I only have a glimpse of your sides, but it appears you have a set of 2 when there should be 4? I think you are missing a set of tall pouches on the back as well. (5) helmet lens looks to be black or dark green - its should have a reflective green screen (I might be wrong though) (6) straps for drop boxes should be beige/tanned/off-white its great to see another CB trooper. even better that its a Lady! looking very comfy in there bush! Nate
  14. Welcome to bsn. Nice paint job. Your vest appears to be a Molle vest ? Can't be sure from the shots though. Come on in
  15. Heatshock / CB 4365 / UK Garrison / 2011 overall I think the edges of my paintjob need mroe "feathering" ie sponging to get the indistinct margins. It is done, its just not that obvious from 4 foot away! Compare it to my mate CB 4841, I liked the 'washed out' look of his paint job, and his edge feathering is very nice close up of my helmet details showing chrome base coat with layered weathering, black and earthy misting added. Black tank pin stripe detailing to be added. cummerbund cloth covered cod
  16. its a pleasure mate, great seeing you take real time on this, trooper it will be worth it! lmk if you need me to try and send the brown paint to you from UK! Nate
  17. Welcome to our Gallery of cleared Kashyyyk Troopers There is great variation in this costume, because unlike others, it has a camouflage pattern with different way of interpreting the CGI appearance. The point of this thread is to have a common place for new recruits wanting to see what has been cleared before in one convenient thread. Also for our very small but extremely proud cadre of specialised troopers to display their Kashyyyk Pride! Kashyyyk Troopers - the Few, the Proud! **please note - the costume is evolving constantly, please check the year of clearance of each cleared CB and current CRLs** Rules: (1) each cleared Kashyyyk Trooper will be allowed to have 1 post and 1 post only. You will be allowed to modify that post as you go along. (2) title to have the following format - Username / ID number / Garrison / Year of clearance (3) no limit on the number of pictures, but a standard set with at least 2 - full front, full back. Additional pics to show details are encouraged (4) pictures are for completed costumes only, not a WIP (5) comments only allowed on your own pics - including a comments about what you would want to improve on would be helpful (6) NO COMMENTS FROM OTHERS - this thread will be moderated strictly - nothing personal guys and girls! (7) once a costume has been sold on, the old owner has the responsibility to inform the moderators or change the title themselves to Username / ID number / Garrison / Year of clearance (retired). New owner is then welcome to start a new thread as per these rules (8) questions to be directed ideally to the post-author direct via pm (9) rules are allowed to be changed by moderators at any time Right boys and girls - show em if you have em!
  18. ok guys - I am gonna start the thread and pin it at the top of our HQ section. 1st post will be the rules - pls stick to em !! hope to see everyone's pics up soon. Nate
  19. - hey mate - we have already had pm discussions abt this - all that has been said about the busy-ness of the paint job is correct - I would disagree with the comments on the technique - brush with sponge is what it appears you have used, and it pretty good with the feathering on the edges compared to other 1st time attempts, I do not think that needs a re-do - the other matter is the brown being too rich. simple fix really, apply more base coat inbetween and lighten up the brown a bit more. Doesnt need a total sand and repaint imho Nate
  20. ok - merchandising isnt up to date - which patch is that Grumpy - and wheres the original graphic? we can possibly get Peaches on to it, but if not enough interest, we can perhaps do a small kashyyyk section run?
  21. simple composite of pictures on the web thinking of 2 rockers, top to read 501st Pathfinders, bottom to read "the few, the proud" (if some one could photoshop it?) Nate
  22. anyone - any input? the only other thing I thought of suggesting is that you critique your own work, or list parts you would do differently etc for instance - in mine; black stripe to put on the back tank, camoflage to be more feathered at the edges Nate
  23. good luck with approval !
  24. ok guys - consultation officially over. CRL will be entered as is... time to collect pictures for CRL submissions this is gonna be the best we can get out there. WIll try to get a piece from different people and try to accomodate troopers who want to be involved. will probably get Mr Bungle's as the full front and back pics as the sort of 'Father' of the modern complete CB - ok with everyone? Nate
