im no expert on boots but, ive been reading and looking at the info around here ~ i think the texture is ok .. others around here have similar texture ~ i would think the flap is abit to long on the sides -- might be a tough fix ~ and the rear "tube" section shouldnt go below the top of the rubber sole -- seems to be an easy fix im sure others will chime in to help you or even correct me if im wrong good luck!

yes, all the vendor talks i read are confusing on here .. im not sure if its impatient customers, real life problems on the vendor side and theyd rather not mention there life to a customer, overload of work orders on vendors, grumpy complaining customers and so and so on. theres tons of reasons things could not "be on time" or "wrong" in the customers eyes. i have had several chats with several vendors and only 1 has not replied back for a week .. even sent him a seperate message, it was stilll unread on the day i deleted it a week later seeing him active. im not mad at that vendor as things change, people are diffferent and real life issues happen. its whatever, ill find someone else to work with. im not even sure if bsn could help the vendor situation ... and im really not sure what could be done to help both parties, vendor and customer

hmm, i have been in talks with him for several days now and nothing was mentioned of them closing .. and all his responses to me where actually quite fast. they are modifying a suit for me .. and atm, they are custom making a flight suit for another customer they gave me a time frame of 8-10 weeks so, it seems they might be under a heavy workload with that type of time frame.

if a mod see this .. i think this post got moved around with the revamp/changes, its now in the "soft parts" section. and im not sure if its in the right place now ?? if not, feel free to move where needed .. if its ok then nvm

yeah, this is the biggest problem i have with alot of the armor out there...the chests are way off. but, i think you are pretty close. for me i would take it in abit more ... i did a quick sketch, see pic, instead of trying to explain it. just be careful not to cut down into the V of the neck .. and the side look like the could use a bit more tapering closer to vertical, esp, at the top of the shoulders. as well, the neck has radius at the bottom area then turns vertical near top of shoulders. the original armor looks to have like 2 "strap" at the top of the shoulders and tapers down to the angle. anyways, i think you are getting close, abit more trimming and i think you will get it. good luck .. and here is my very rough suggestion

i dont think weathering is a requirement. but it is accepteable as the first link that chopper posted shows you can have Gloss white, semi-gloss, or lightly weathered. i have been thinking about this, and i think i will let mine naturally weather .. keep it white and see how it goes if over time i want to look battleworn .. then i may go roll around in the mud and hug some trees

well, im running out of options for proper looking armor, theres not to many out there waiting might be my only option .... wolfpack/strider says sometime in the future, waiting for him to reply back on how long future is? im not wanting to rush this build in anyway, i want it to look legit .. not slapped together updated op .. some more contacts made for armor .. other orders filled and so it starts:

fiberglass is fun stuff as long as you mix it correctly .. if you mix it to "hot" then you are asking for issues like warping. ive done alot of work/repairs using fiberglass .. abs motorcycle fairings, speaker boxes, vehicles(inside and out), faces, doors, wood even fiberglass ect.... the stuff is fun to work with once you get to know it .. prep .. remove dust(x3) and be ready to lay the glass when when its mixed .. dust removal is key .. ive seen fiberglass pop off due to a quick prep and dust was still on the surface. i usually see cracking if no cloth or hair was used in the fiberglass .. i always use cloth/resin or the fiberglass filler with hair(short or long strands) with fiberglass filler w/hairs theres a point when its curing where you can shape/shave/knockdown with a rasp, cut it with a knife before it fully hardens ... if you fixed/repair abs .. this is should be pretty easy .. do some test runs on some things .. piece of plywood or metal ... see how it acts, cures ect. youll be surprised how easy it is..

heya, thanks troops! i was already planning/thinking if i could get with them without the costume ready .. i would like to get out and see how it all works so, im not a complete noob on my first troop and i have tried to register with the local forums but, theres a busted link or something on the "how to" info page with the registration part.. i sent the CO an email but, im not sure if they understood what the issue is. so, i am waiting on another reply from them atm so, i cant join the local forums as of yet either hope, it all gets sorted though.

hello, im kinda confused as to what is going on or what i need to do with the forum(s) in 501st sorry, im think i may be overlooking something or maybe im just be getting overwhelmed with all the kit researching(bs overload) or im just not really understanding the proper order of the 501st membership i was able to register here but, i cant register with legion forum i am wanting to join 501st(or am i already joined?) and working/researching the details to become a biker scout but, i read here an there about legion forum and 501st tags and other things. whats all that? is there another forum or something im missing to get "officially" tagged or whatever you call it before i have my gear .. or do i need gear then become official and then somehow sign in somewhere else to get a 501st designation? what about a local garrison .. where, how to get in touch with some locals? could someone help clear this up for me .. if what i said has made any sense ^^
