-
Warning: pic heavy Not yet attached, just double sided tape to see placement
-
BBB day today. Will upload pics as soon as I get home
-
Just received an email from ups. Package from RS props Is scheduled to arrive on Friday
-
With the extra leather I had left over, I made an inner strapping with snaps. Made mine snug but not too tight Then attach them to the inside of the shaft. Looks like what they may have done with the originals
-
The shin armor looks closer towards the shore trooper shins
-
I believe these may still be concept arts, but check them out! Stormtrooper type chest, back, arms, detonators, and belt? Snowtrooper cod and ab plate?
-
Patch pattern Sewing went well. Should have the flightsuit done today.

Last night I spent a good amount of time searching online/books/magazine photos, and watching movie and behind the scenes clips over and over. Am I right to assume the decision was to create a mandarin collar (without confirmation that it was on a jumpsuit) as a standard due to the on-screen variations of: -neck seal under open collar -no neck seal under open collar -neck seal over closed collar. And could not be decided? i dont want to be on the hunt for a phantom collar if it never existed I hope I’m not offending anyone by posing this question.
-
I have no problem with the verdict.☺️👍🏼 That being said, anyone have info? At least an image I can work with no matter how faint. -Does it fold from the left to the right? -Right to Left? -Zip up from the middle? Just looking to get images of the actual collar. I only want to do this right the first time. This is probably the the only thing from keeping me from making my suit pass basic (other than fitting of course) thanks in advance! 😁
-
Thanks chopper. I’m looking at your image and the collar is folded down and not a mandarin Like this shot (which I color enhanced)
-
Anyone have clear images of the actual mandarin collar? Looking for just screenshots, production/behind the scenes photos, costume tours, etc. Not fan made The motm scout does not have one. And I understand this suit is questionable on being a screen used suit

Anyone have clear images of the mandarin collar? Looking for just screenshots, production/behind the scenes photos, costume tours, etc. Already saw the motm scout, and that does not have one.
-
Thanks chopper! Still need to weather once the holster arrives. I need it to be consistent with the weathering from RS
-
Just did the unthinkable Airbrushed the soles of the boots to make the strips match in color The lighting makes it look dark here (bad lighting), but it matches the actual color. The wrinkles of the cap goes away when filled
-
Laying it all out for placement. Need to widen the top of the patch another 1-2 inches The patch evens out when the pant legs fill out and the legs come down.
-
Sounds like RS is almost ready to ship. Better get on it.
-
So far so good

Pretty productive morning The original pockets came off clean As did the original flightsuit pockets Before I install the pockets, I need to make sure I have the alignment right, so I turned my attention to the patches I finally found a template I like. I just need to clean it up. For now I just want to do a rough draft on packing paper

I can’t tell....is this considered cheating? 😉 I connected my laptop to my 50”. Resized the image using the 2” black elastic as the constant. (Bad angel. Tape measure is lifted. 2” from the top view) Laid down a roll of cellophane wrap to draw on Still needs to be cleaned up and adjust when the pant legs are filled. Bottom needs to be shortened the top needs to be extended upwards (as does the rear). Needs to connect to the left side to form a curve under the under-carriage 1st draft

About the same as denim. The avirex is more like khakis
-
Thanks guys. By the way, I just realized I never posted the jumpsuit model. No point of anyone trying to keep information to themselves. Not doing this to be the only one with an accurate setup. Where’s the fun in that? a few on eBay now, except I’m a 44L Scouts helping scouts
-
Thanks guys. Just been lucky I suppose

Big day today. Just came home to these from eBay I didnt want to buy black suede for three reasons: 1) easier to draw my pattern on brown. 2) same process as production 3) dye seems more fun 😉
