It was just by luck I decided to check eBay -
Just picked up these bad boys on eBay for $40. I’m going to give them the ole airbrush color treatment like when I had to color uniform my tan Sierras to the added strips Unfortunately they’re too small for me, so I’ll use them on a mannequin or if my wife ever decides to scout. Guess I’ll have to buy another scout armor set *sigh* 😁 Maybe this time a strider set. OR paint them black and do an RS shadow scout mannequin 🤔

I stand corrected 😁

According to the OT costume book, they initially painted all scout armor Ferrari White before they filmed the clean Scouts in the emperors arrival scene in England Then when they sent them to Northern California to film on the forest moon of Endor, they weathered them. “IF” true long as you thoroughly sand down the complete surface, shouldn’t have any cracking. Use conversion varnish. Or take to an automotive paint shop.

Thanks* for the support everyone. Want to make you guys proud Long and expensive build. 🥴 another pic I forgot that was still in my camera This one is still my favorite 😁

Chest armor rides up when attempting a shooting pose or a lot of movement May need to attach to bund with Velcro or something PEW PEW!!!

Thanks to RS and members of this site Lots of inspiration everywhere 😉 Still need a few more adjustments
-
Lets try this again. This time I’m using my canon t5

First suit up Taking a pic by myself with my phone proved to be harder than I thought. Will need to do a few adjustments like pull up the cod and pull up the belt boxes and buckle and pull up the boots, etc On the plus side, it’s graininess makes it look like an actual old production photo 🤣

RS Prop Masters Armor -- My First Impressions of the Kit
Whiskey replied to Chopper's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I think I found a solution to wrap a wire and keep it light weight. Here’s a hint on what I’m working on 😉 see it? -

Unless I’m mistaken the bund requires 5 just for approval. Can anyone confirm? -

I love the armor. Definitely worth the money and wait Would’ve been cool if they offered the hump stripes in 4 and 1 as well. -
Now that I think about it, what I meant was...when you cut the curve, the tube should be bent back more or it will interfere with the belt and will be exposed more. By bending the tube back, it can seem more flushed.
-
Not yet. Options: 1) Going to hit it with my heat gun in the center 2) cut and trim and glue with an angle 3) replace the tube entirely with wrapped wire I have black zip ties, just not the correct ones. I need to pick that up today.

Was really hesitant on doing this, but felt it was necessary. Each part is individually stamped and was worried I could’ve ruined one The thermal detonator needed to have that slight curve to contour ones back Turned out well Just one thing left to do and I’m done 😉

Looks great! do you not have elastic straps to hold your shoulder bells down?

Finished a successful troop this morning Back down to it I installed the holster and just finished the weathering the boots Have my vest from Chef ready Cheesewhoppy bund needs to be slightly weathered and I’m finally ready for a complete suit up
-
Unfortunately, I did not. Was hoping it was going to be available again at a later date. Lol it was 5:30am when I saw the scouts go online and was a bit groggy 🥴

The RS holster will fit the dvh blaster nicely The hyperfirm is too large
