There are two flavors here. You have a canon and non-canon event. If it's a canon event only the hold out blaster can be carried. At a non-canon event you can carry usually whatever you want as long as your garrison CO/GML ok's it. We usually leave the E11s for the stormies so I haven't seen a Pathfinder carrying one in any pics (and it just doesn't look right IMO) but I have seen the DLT-19 carried and Hyperfirm even has a DLT-19 with scope for the Scouts. Cheyenne you might want to check on the TD tube color with Grif. I ended up having to disassemble mine and paint the tube a darker grey to match my snout and chest rectangle. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

You won't go wrong there my friend. My vest is solid and it should last me a long time and it looks great. It's made of stronger material than a tee so it should last you many troops. I would recommend taking your measurements with your flight suit on. Mine is excellent but I measured a little under, I was wearing a tee shirt at the time, so it's a little tight over my flightsuit.

That's good stuff. Remember that you will also need a vest to go on top of your bund. Looking at the bund on the website it doesn't look quite right. There should be a series of 5-6 seams down the middle of the abdomen part and I couldn't tell if the rounded chevron was on the cod piece. You also might want to change out the thigh boxes with ones from SC as they look much better. James (JimmyFilth) is building a set of KS if you want to take a look. I went to ChrisX909X on the Trade Forum. I had him make the parts and I assembled them. He also will do the whole shebang if you want to go that route.

Has anyone tried that magnetic paint on primer you can get at Home Depot? I was thinking of using that and a couple of rare earth magnets in my holster. I'm struggling with taking a knife to my Hyperfirm. I don't think I have the guts to do it.

Looking good Mate! It's great to see you in your armour! Looks like you need a set of bridge straps for the front and back armour as well. If you have enough material I would make them out of the cotton webbing that came with your SC. That way it will be done when you go for Lancer.......you are going for Lancer after basic approval right? I ended up sizing my thigh boxes something like three times to get the distance between them and the belt right. I would suggest posting a pic when you get those set and get input from another Pathfinder or Lancer. The right box looks a little low but I know you haven't connected them yet. Looks great!

Here's a shot of my boots. I had Chrisx909x make the soft parts and I assembled them and attached the holster. I would have to agree with Stasz. There's no spec that I've seen and it looks good to me. Maybe shoot Griffin-X a PM and see what he thinks. He's a detachment armorer and a Lancer. He was really helpful to me recently when I had questions about the color of my TD tube.

Todd thanks again for all the great input! Now that I look at the pics you're spot on and I need to move each set of my arm armor up more toward the bell. I like the idea of the Velcro and I have no shortage of it so I'll be taking your advice to add it. My pouches are also attached with Velcro so I'll re-position them to bring them square with the belt. I just noticed the drop box and I make sure they are not twisted when I post my official pre approval pics once my Altmann's bucket comes in. I'm learning how hard it is when in armor to adjust so it seems best to have everything as idiot-proof as I can make it suiting up. Thanks again for your advice and help!

Ben, have you sourced your armour yet? Some of those kits (like my SC) come with the holster so it'll save you from spending more. That way you can focus on your boots. PandaTrooper had a good method of tightening up the sole fabric that might be of help. Thanks Jim! The TD was really being a bugger to get attached once I was suited up and I couldn't be sure it was straight. The magnets align it even with the belt so all I have to do is just let the magnets do their thing and loop the clips over my belt.

Well it seems as if it has been one step forward and two steps back as I make my way through this process. It's been a learning process and while somewhat frustrating at times it's really satisfactory to see my armor look better with each iteration. Here's what I've upgraded in this round and thanks to those that have provided great input and suggestions to make it look better! 1.) Disassembled my TD and painted the tube grey to match my DVH snout and chest rectangle. If you get SC armor it turns out that the tube is a touch too light so paint it before you assemble your TD. Thus may help avoid tearing it down and painting it anyway. If you have questions you can always talk to a detachment armorer and/or your GML. 2.) I sewed Velcro to the upper part of my bund and vest to keep it from dropping down below my chest armor. 3.) I removed my 1.5" strapping from my drop boxes and trimmed them back to accommodate the correct distance from the belt assembly. I had to trim off the female snaps so I had to reset new ones once I achieved the correct length. Lesson learned. Make sure you correctly measure this distance before going to all the trouble to attach your straps. I thought I had the right distance set but even with placing Velcro in the boxes it didn't give me enough room to shorten it up. 4.) SInce I had the TD all taken apart I decided to do a mod using rare earth magnets to attach it to my belt since it was getting me frustrated trying to get it sit right and correctly attach it after I put my belt on. Yes, it has to look perfect So here's what I did: I picked up a set of rare earth magnets used for furniture from Amazon. Once I had my TD back together I attached the magnets to my belt loops using screws: Then I cut two patches of cotton webbing to fit over the rare earth magnets that will be fitted to my belt. I made them a little larger since they have to fit over the magnets when I sewed them on: I then sewed them on the belt by only sewing three sides. I did it this way to make sure I had them facing the right way so they would attract rather than repel. It's the measure twice cut once adage. Once I was happy that they were correctly placed I just sewed the pouch closed. The magnet set up works very well and supports my belt assembly with no effort. So I'm just about ready for my third round of pre-pre approval photos so I'll be posting those soon. Thanks for all the help and input and as I've mentioned before keep it coming!

I've taken a few steps back with my TD and had to redo it and I'm moding my drop boxes to get them closer to the belt. So I'm moving a little slowly at the moment but getting caught back up.
