  1. I say we call it the E-11P for Poopie.
  2. I already have a completed Shoretrooper Captain, and this is the same other than two parts so I thought, what the hell? First up is the Left Forearm, which I 3D printed and then painted according to @Laubi's great paint diagram: Using the indentation as a measurement, I was able to determine the yellow stripes are approximately 1 inch by 2 inches (25mm by 50mm). Nobody has made a stencil for these yet, but they were easy to tape off with painter's tape. The center stripe is not quite 1 inch; it only sits on the cover strip and doesn't bleed over to the rest of the forearm. And here is the completed piece. Just needs some weathering!
  3. The flight suit in the Mandalorian is a TIE Jumpsuit, not the same suit we use with the regular Scout. So any pockets need to match that style.
  4. I'm not seeing anything on your current helmet that would hold you up from Lancer. I'd need to see more pics of course but it looks to me like you did a great job.
  5. Very well done, Troy! I don't see anything to hold you up from basic approval. Come back here when you get approved and get a Lancer app going!
  6. If you took the cheek rest and the lower barrel off the E-22, you'd be 90% of the way there.
  7. It doesn't look too terribly different from the E-22 stock
  8. Well done, Gareth! I bumped you up to full Pathfinders status. Congratulations and welcome to the team!
  9. Steven Walker is known to be the best maker of Shoretrooper pants. They are pricey though. I have The DarkSide Closet's pants and they were fine for Level 2. FYI, we have a vendor list for the Shoretrooper:
  10. Welcome to the Pathfinders Sean! We don't endorse any particular armor maker but we do provide some guidance. Check out these two threads:
  11. First, I want to thank Gio for sending over this evaluation pair. The gloves are a very nice quality; the leather is soft and supple and the inside padding is nice and thick. Great for keeping your hands warm on a cold troop, maybe not so great if you live in a warmer clime. But our Scouts often remove the lining from their gloves so this shouldn't present a problem for anyone either way. Now the question is often asked "But how do they compare to Wampa Wear?" I think the more appropriate question is "How do they compare to the original Esprits?" Here a picture speaks a thousand words: Esprit Rain Gauntlets on the outside, Crowprops on the inside. I should note that the Esprits are an XL and the Crowprops gloves are a Large. Still, there are some inaccuracies that pop out right away: 1. The Crowprops gloves are a bit short in the Gauntlet area, hopefully Giovanni can add some more length to future patterns. 2. The pouch is missing from the gauntlet area, which given how short the gauntlet area is, might be hard to add with the pattern as-is. 3. The Crowprops glove features elastic in the wrist area which is not present on the originals. 4. The palm stitching pattern, while close, could be improved. That "swirl" on the palm extends up the thumb on the Esprit glove; that is lacking on the Crowprops. So in summary: The Crowprops glove is a nice, comfortable glove for any Scout looking to achieve basic level approval. But it does not quite meet the accuracy threshold for a Lancer application.

  12. Because the scout armor is mostly held on by elastic straps, there really aren't any issues when it comes to sizing. Unless you are very short, in which case in certain instances the forearms, biceps and shoulders may need a bit more trimming. That being said, there are also two armor kits, Kropserkel and WTF, that are a bit oversized and really only look best on larger folks. Please check out this thread to get an idea of how the different armor kits look: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/17774-the-ultimate-armor-comparison-thread/
  13. Hey buddy! Surprisingly enough, the Shoretrooper is not especially strap-heavy. Some of us use a t-strap for the shoulder join/bell, and of course the belt is an area that needs to be tackled. But a lot of the gear just fits in place without much in the way of straps. Here is my build thread for my captain, to the extent it helps:
  14. I concur with Joe. Looks good to me. Nothing to hold up approval. but my OCD can't deal with that crooked emblem or that black dot
  15. My RS came with a hard hat liner but I removed it because it was giving me headaches. I went with helmet pads and they've been great these past 5 years! Not sure what size head you have, but I am 7 3/8s (60cm) and the RS has been a really good fit!
  16. Moved to appropriate thread. You can start your search here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19003-biker-scout-vendor-list/
  17. Got my bucket today! Thanks to @troygordon2 for getting this done. I know @MrPoopie and I must have driven you crazy with all of our "just a little bit wider here. Little bit narrower there. Bring that out, move that over, etc." But the result is a great looking bucket! Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
  18. That looks rad man! I need to get my butt in gear!
  19. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to welcome Joe "Minimo" Mendoza (ST-41814) to the illustrious ranks of the Vanguard Shoretroopers! Great job, @Minimo!! Please post a picture of your coolest pose in this thread for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. If not, I will take a pic from your application. Check out ST-41814's application here:
  20. Congratulations!
  21. 4 down this year and still more to go!
  22. The Shoretrooper Specialist as seen in Star Wars Battlefront II has now joined the Pathfinders family! Many thanks to @Gertjan Kool for 3D printing this armor kit and getting this done for us. @TK8271 Rogue Trooper got most of the CRL written before stepping down from command, and @ScaryGuy added guidance toward the end of the build. And of course, many thanks to our LMO rep, @mrrikki for taking this from draft to live CRL. Like all our CRLs, this was a team effort and I am pleased to welcome the Shoretrooper Specialist to our Detachment! The CRL may be found here: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Shoretrooper_specialist
  23. For Level 2, you need to use zip ties. T-straps were not used in the film. For basic, do it how you'd like. We don't have different CRLs for different regions. It should be dark lens period. If anyone is using a mirror lens, they are doing it contra the CRL. Fiberglass is difficult to work with and doesn't hold up to the rigors of trooping as well as ABS. I've seen one fiberglass Scout kit and it was pretty bad. Accuracy was extremely lacking
  24. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to welcome Eric "Hoda" Ho (TB-77520) to the illustrious ranks of the Lancer scouts! Great job, @Hoda!! Please post a picture of your coolest pose in this thread for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. If not, I will take a pic from your application. Check out TB-77520's application here:
  25. Lancer status approved! Congrats.
