  1. Those look great! I wouldn't worry about painting them. Scuff 'em up a bit, but I think they look good like that.
  2. It looks great, buddy. Hard to tell sometimes when you don't have your armor on too.
  3. Cummerbund definitely matches production references as far as height is concerned. I'm sure it will look fine once he pulls it up above his belt
  4. We don't evaluate whether things are L2 or not on the Vendor list. Lancer issues are noted in the Lancer section:
  5. Thanks Jake @CROW62 I just want to be clear though -- the vest and the stripes should be the SAME color. It's a Level 2 requirement. There was a mistaken belief for years that the stripes and vests were different shades of gray. They should be the same. This belief was caused by the fact that the stripes are a different material than the vest (well at least as far as that can be done with a CGI character). If you look at this image, you can see the vest and stripes are both the same color gray:
  6. @ferra @Jakeputt can you guys help Gio with this? Kashys aren't my area of expertise.
  7. Excellent Giovanni! We have sizes in the CRL. Do you need more than this? OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Cummerbund pouch sizes as follows: 2 Long front pouches: 7 inches high x 4 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep 2 small front pouches: 2.5 inches high x 4 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep 8 small side pouches Top 4 small side pouches are 3 inches tall x 4 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep Bottom 4 small pouches are 4.5 inches tall x 4 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep 2 Long back pouches: 7 inches high x 4 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep 2 rectangular back pouches: 4 inches high x 7 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep
  8. I get my boots from @Chrisx909x. @StephTrooper is another maker. There are also retail costume makers like Crowprops and Imperial Boots that sell ROTJ style boots. And there's a boot tutorial here if you want to take a stab at making your own: Hope that helps!
  9. Great sense of accomplishment, right? Congratulations and keep on Scoutin'!
  10. Well done, Pathfinder! You've been bumped up to full access. Congrats and welcome to the Detachment
  11. Studio Creations is a great vendor and the go-to for many Scouts worldwide. They hit the right spot in the Cheap>Fast>Good paradigm for most people and I highly recommend them.
  12. On some of the earlier ABS armors, the straps were built into the greave. At least in appearance. They didn't actually function because they were just a raised portion of the greave made to look like a strap. They were "molded in." For L2, we ask for actual straps, not fake straps.
  13. Two toned soles are fine for Level 1.
  14. I usually just wear a t-shirt or tank top but your idea sounds a lot smarter
  15. Not at all. And part of writing a CRL is trying to aggregate everything we see on screen and make something easy for costumers and GMLs to follow. We look for general rules and intentions and for the most part leave out one-offs and mistakes.
  16. This weekend we learned of the passing of TB-5549, Anthony "@Spectre5549" Tran of Southern California Garrison. After a brave battle with cancer, Anthony has joined the ranks of the Eternal Pathfinders. He was a member of the 501st Legion for over 10 years, all of that time served as a Scout Trooper. Just from a personal standpoint, Anthony was one of the first troopers I met when I joined the Legion. Back in 2014 for whatever reason, there weren't a lot of active Scout Troopers. So whenever I trooped, I was usually paired up with Anthony. He was a kind, gentle soul, never sought the limelight, and was always happy to just get in there and do the hard work. I can think of several armor parties where the rest of us were fooling around, and Anthony had all the electronics of our Speeder Bike out, toiling away for hours to make sure the damned thing worked for our next troop. The Legion thrives on troopers like Anthony; he will be dearly missed.
  17. Maybe I'm wrong, but both of the ones where the buckle is covering the webbing look like they've been twisted over. You can tell by the webbing between the buckle and the TD. Looks pinched. But honestly, I really don't care. If this is what y'all want, fine. But then there's this:
  18. It's in the ballpark though. If it were right up against the edge I'd say we had a problem, but I think yours is fine where it is. We don't specify an exact, GPS-determined location as to where the rivet needs to go, we just ask you come close. If you want to move it up some more, it would be fine too.
  19. Looks good to me! Remember if you need any production source images to check against your work, look in the Scoutopedia: http://www.501stpathfinders.com/scoutopedia.php
  20. Hard to say from that picture you posted above, but the chest plate doesn't look way too small. It's only supposed to come down to the bottom of the pectorals.
  21. Mine goes down the sides too. It looks that way from screenshots.
  22. RE: the cummerbund camo -- that's fine. Since it's L2 for the main Kashy trooper we can make that L2 here. let's focus on bringing out the camo so we get it looking more like this:
  23. Okay... once I blew the picture up, squinted my eyes and turned my head just right, I could see camo. But honestly, I just thought it was gradations in color due to the wrinkles in the fabric, whereas in the screen grab you can clearly see what looks like gray camo patches: As for the cummerbund, it's something we noticed on the originals. We thought it was dirt at first too but on closer examination it seemed a lot more deliberate. So we made it a level 2 requirement for the Kashyyyk (though no one has ever gone for L2). Do you have a screengrabs from the game where we can see the bund better? I tried looking through your old pics but the links seemed to be broken.
  24. @yoshix I updated the CRL draft with current language and your photos. Let me know if you see anything amiss. Question -- the undersuit in the game appears to have a camo pattern, but the photo you submitted to me doesn't (or at least it's hard to see if it's there). Do you have another source showing no camo from the game? Also seeing camo on the cummerbund, which we've noted on the film cummerbund as well. Is there a game image without camo on the bund?
  25. I popped it in there. @Hask I assume that's okay as an optional accessory?
