  1. Trooperbay decals are the way to go!
  2. What the heck do I have to do to get them to respond to an email??
  3. No idea, but those pouches are ridiculously tiny and the codpiece is as well Buy American, my friend: https://www.facebook.com/Maxs-Sci-fi-Creation-Shop-1651285501763603/?fref=ts
  4. you just break the seams on the leg with a seam ripper. Turn the legs inside out. Then you resew the seams by grabbing more of the fabric when you sew it back together. It's very simple. Even an idiot like me can do it!
  5. Looking good!
  6. Hmm, I never got that email.
  7. I want to say I came in just south of $1300 for my initial build. And I've spent even more on improvements since then. And let's not talk about the RS Props lid once I ever get it!
  8. Oh yeah, this is not a cheap hobby!
  9. Hit my boy Gabe up: https://www.facebook.com/Maxs-Sci-fi-Creation-Shop-1651285501763603/?fref=ts
  10. KS makes a good bucket for larger domes as well, though it takes some extra TLC to get it to Lancer spec
  11. Never heard of mfx, which means I would give it a wide berth But dude! Building your own armor is part of the fun. I've never done anything like this before either, but it was a very enjoyable process. I ordered the SC armor and followed Pandatrooper's excellent build thread: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9781 You will surprise yourself with what you can do when you put your mind to it.
  12. Not a big fan of the snow scout, and it drives me nuts how little consistency there is with it from source to source.
  13. They are light too, which is a good quality for longer troops!
  14. SC is probably the best fit for you.
  15. What are you waiting for? BUY IT! And then use this thread to build it: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9781
  16. Scout blasters ARE small, my man! They don't call them holdout blasters for nothing. If it's the same prop maker that I am thinking of, I've held that blaster and nothing unusual about it at all. Its about the size of the hyperfirm. Put some magnets in your boot and in the blaster and you'll be good to go
  17. Hard to tell without the suede flaps, but good thinking with the mesh. I want to add some to my own suit.
  18. Merry Christmas from sunny California!
  19. Lancer is all about getting those small details right that make your build look really polished. Like I said earlier, for basic you should be good. But Lancer: 1) Do you have the boot soles cut like the film scouts? 2) Did you add the extra rivets and straps to the knee armor? 3) Your drop boxes need to be leveled off, they are uneven on the sides 4) Your cummerbund looks too long. It should not stick out from under the belt. On the other hand, your belt looks like you are wearing it kind of low (perhaps to cover up the length of the bund). But this is a common issue with the one piece bund/codpiece. 5) You want to make sure when you take Lancer pics that your bicep armor is actually on your bicep and turned more forward (yours is facing the back) and that your forearm armor doesn't sit so low. Some scouts use velcro to keep it in place. Hope this helps!
  20. I posted all my thoughts in this thread, the first time you asked this question http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=14492&pid=129084&st=0entry129084
  21. Never thought I'd recommend KS armor but if the shoe fits....
  22. Looks good trooper. Nothing really glaring jumping out. Might just want to make sure everything is neat and tidy before taking submission photos
  23. That is correct, commander. Mine was approved for basic right out of the box
  24. I have a KS bucket and SC armor. It's really not a big deal. This is what I did: 1) Got correct decals from Trooperbay 2) Replaced KS's sticker snout with a Darth Voorhees snout. 3) Removed the black mesh from the ears and painted the inside of the helmet black 4) Took off the furniture pad bolts, painted two aluminum discs grey and glued them over the rivets that hold the faceplate to the helmet. I detailed a lot of it here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12355 Anyway, KS is perfectly fine. I made Lancer with mine so you should be good with these few adjustments
