Looks good trooper. Nothing really glaring jumping out. Might just want to make sure everything is neat and tidy before taking submission photos

Any tips for KS buckets

That is correct, commander. Mine was approved for basic right out of the box -
Any tips for KS buckets
BikerScout007 replied to shockwave326's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I have a KS bucket and SC armor. It's really not a big deal. This is what I did: 1) Got correct decals from Trooperbay 2) Replaced KS's sticker snout with a Darth Voorhees snout. 3) Removed the black mesh from the ears and painted the inside of the helmet black 4) Took off the furniture pad bolts, painted two aluminum discs grey and glued them over the rivets that hold the faceplate to the helmet. I detailed a lot of it here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12355 Anyway, KS is perfectly fine. I made Lancer with mine so you should be good with these few adjustments -

Yeah those are SC. That's a good choice for any size scout! -
best helmet for a big noggin'

KS works well for big noggins -
Do you have a photo that's a bit larger than a postage stamp?

$1200 sounds about right for Lancer. That was my expenditure

Great scout! Love the separated bund/codpiece set up. On point!!!

1st timer in need of helmet selection

The KS armor has issues beyond just the color, but what exactly is the color problem? I guess I'm the only one who is totally satisfied by my KS lid. I've compared it to the SC, MLC and Altmann's and it holds its own pretty well after a few mods. -

Personally, I'd go KS on lid, SC on armor. Their armor is priced nicely, it comes quick, instructions are clear, and almost everything you need is in the box -
I think I might look into this as well.

So.... still nothing to report huh? Crazy way to run a business. I talked to Dickey Beer on Sunday, he still hasn't gotten his Fett lid from RS. So that should tell you where we are in the pecking order.

Is this some new addition? I don't recall getting that in my SC kit

You can use the decals that came from SC. Those are the ones that are on my tank! Good luck with your build

Of the three easiest to get (SC, KS, MLC), I'd go KS. There are better options than those 3, but they are easiest to acquire and most popular. SC armor all day long. The turnaround is fast and pretty much everything you need is in the box. You can get your armor all done while you're waiting for KS to send you the bucket. -
No fans either. The ear holes on the sides work wonders. They really knew what they were doing when they designed the scout bucket.
-
They got the neckline on the chest armor right. I'll give 'em that much.
-
All the more reason why the bund and codpiece should be separate
-
I'm not a big fan of the KS armor period. The quality of the pull aside, the dimensions of the pieces are wildly off. I like the helmet though. I have a KS lid myself.

So the pouches are 9 inches high? That seems awfully big.
