BJ is 100% right. We would most likely be black, since that's what TKs wear when not in armor --as seen in Episode IV. The officer talking to Vader ("Holding her is dangerous!") is a TK out of armor. And since Scout troopers are a division of the Stormtrooper corps, we'd most likely wear black too. I wear a black officers cap when I dont have my bucket on.

This is a really great app, Constantin. Just a few things: 1) Most important, your butt flap is too small. The width is correct but the height is wrong. It's best to make it a square shape, attached to that seam on the back of the suit. Here's a picture of mine from my own Lancer App: 2) Your dropboxes are uneven. It could be that your belt is just not on neatly when you suited up or the straps don't connect to the main belt evenly in the back. 3) Your vest sleeve is flaring on your left sleeve. This could be because the sleeve is too long or the elastic on the shoulder bell is too tight. I made my sleeves very short, so that only about .5 inch showed under the shoulder bell. But that way, I could wear my bicep armor on my biceps and not down by my elbow. 4) Pull up your bicep armor and turn your forearm armor forward when taking pictures. And that's really it. A lot of these notes are things that might just be problems with how you suited up. Having someone there with you to make sure everything is perfectly straight before taking pictures --- someone that actually understands how the costume is supposed to look -- would be a great help. -
1st timer in need of helmet selection

Spike is your man. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showuser=78390 -
I'll let you know if it fits my big head!

Inside the suit collar I wouldnt trim the bicep armor but I would shorten the vest sleeves. You only need about a half inch peeking out from under the shoulder bells

Got mine too!

The right pouch seems to be hanging lower than the left. But nothing I would ding for basic approval. Good job!

This is great! Keep the progress pics coming!

Yeah your pouches look good. I think the problem is the bund is too long. If you can pull up your belt to meet the bottom of the pouches you are all good. But if you have bund sticking out under the belt after doing that then yeah you need a shorter bund.

Okay I saw Gino at Wondercon a few weeks ago and promised I would resuscitate this thread for him. So any members, new, old... doesn't matter. There's a part hunt going on! If you see something, say something!

Belt looks low to me though. Do you have one piece bund/cod? Or separated? Bund is probably too long Pouches look good to me! I think you just need to bring up your belt to meet them and you'll be spot on

Good work Justin! That makes 4 Lancers in SCG. My goal is to make SCG the Lancer Garrison and you brought us one step closer

I'm guessing the movie pouches are 5x6x2. A lot of the scouts were not that tall. I met Dickey Beer and I'm a good 4 or 5 inches taller than he is. My current pouches I think are the same dimensions as yours and they just seem a little too long. Do you have any pics of you suited up that we can look at?
-
This one IS tough. Most people's pouches look wrong to me, including my own which I think are slightly too big. A 2 inch difference between width and height seems a little extreme to me. Just to reiterate what you said, the pouch should fit between the bottom of your chest armor and the top of your belt WHEN THE BELT IS WORN ON YOUR WAIST. A lot of people don't know where their waist is, but if wear your belt over your belly button you're pretty much there. Let's look at some movie stills. A lot of times the pouch hangs over the belt a bit:

SC is probably your best choice. Fast delivery, great customer service.

It looks really low. We are trying to encourage scouts (especially Lancers) to wear their belts across their waists (so, over the belly button), to meet the bottom of the pouches and look more accurate to how the belts were worn in the movie. We realize people wear their pants low these days but we're trying to recreate 1983 here! So yeah, an inch or two would definitely help -
You may want to reach out on your local garrison's forum to see if anyone nearby can help. There are also vendors that sell completed undersuits for a fee.

Looking really good dude, you went the extra mile. Question -- are you wearing your belt that low for a reason? Can you bring it up to meet the bottom of the pouches or is your bund going to stick out?
