Max's Sci-fi Creation Shop Soft Parts
BikerScout007 replied to GoofySGB's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
He said he ordered 2 sets....probably explains the $700 -
I've always thought so too Alan. That the zip tie is glued to fabric that is in turn glued under the shoulder join. And yes it looks like it is ripping out. But the blue screen Scout scenes were the last thing shot for the movie and I imagine by then these suits were being held together by a lot of tape, glue and bubble gum!

I took about 1,000,000,000 pictures of the Scout at Celebration from just about every angle. I don't see any loop my dudes Now do I think a loop would be more secure? Absolutely! And if that works for you and trooping, go for it. For me though, I have found that the more I make my costume like the screen used one, the more it behaves like one. Little things like attaching the cod to the vest, attaching the pouches to the bund, making the bund much shorter, using zip ties.... anytime I've made a change like that my Scout looks better and moves better. So I'm not as big on the hardiness of it or the convenience. But we are all in this for different reason!

Advance Recon Team (ART) discussion
BikerScout007 replied to BikerScout007's topic in Advance Recon Teams
I'll have to post mine back up. Never corrected it after photobucketpocalypse. You can see them on our Instagram page though https://www.instagram.com/scout_team_six/ -
Awesome! Congrats

As far as I know, there was no loop. Not sure where everyone is getting that from. The anchor is in the bell and the other end is glued to the shoulder loop. With mine I E6000ed the other end to another ziptie anchor, and then put velcro loop on the end of the anchor. Under the shoulder loop I put some velcro hook and it holds very well. I used the glue method for awhile but a spell of hot weather put a stop to that! I'll try to post pics later.

Weathering on the helmet looks a bit too heavy for my eyes You don't place mesh in the ears. You put black gaffer tape on the inside of the helmet behind the earholes. And yes, your pouches should be directly under the chest armor. The attachment tabs should mostly be hidden by your chest armor. it's okay to have some of them show but not that much

There are weathered and non-weathered Scouts in ROTJ so both are allowed. My advice is that a little goes a long way. I've seen scouts that look like Oreo cookies mashed up in someone's teeth and that is way too much

Scout helmet Cast resin or plastic?

There are so many great ABS options I don't know why you would want anything else. Take it easy on your head and neck! -
The Ultimate Armor Comparison Thread!
BikerScout007 replied to BikerScout007's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Its not required on any of the CRLs and as far as we have been told the neck seals were worn under the flight suit so they wouldn't be visible anyway. Sent from my LG-H830 using Tapatalk -
MC makes some pretty good looking armor, no doubt about it. But some of their wait times make RS Props look downright speedy by comparison!

Welcome to the Forum!

Looks pretty good! you might want to bring the fronts in a little bit

There is the DLT-20 Pulse Cannon thing from Battlefront too. http://battlefront.wikia.com/wiki/Pulse_Cannon I think the important thing is that the rifle is scoped, as is befitting a sniper! So carrying around a regular DLT-19 as seen in a New Hope wouldn't be appropriate.

I can't see that holding up approval. We are scouts, we are supposed to be busted up! Maybe a little ABS slurry can patch it up

Well done! Welcome to the ranks

Diamond Garrison ART is a go! -
You won't need a fan for the Scout helmet. The ear holes and the channel in the back provide plenty of fresh air. I use these helmet pads in my RS Props bucket: https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

1.5" Drop Box Webbing Source
BikerScout007 replied to Cadet's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Jontay, Amazon, ebay.... you got options! But it's true, I haven't had much luck finding 1.5 in local fabric stores. I actually ended up buying some off a fellow Garrison member that had extra, so make sure you try that too! -
Nicely done!

Beer and late-night online purchases...
BikerScout007 replied to Meatcake's topic in Getting Started
SC armor is very common 'round these parts. And by Bolivia I am assuming you mean Cristian aka Cucblack. He makes very good stuff although shipping from South America can be very trying. But everything depends on how you assemble it. You've got good stuff so you have to make it look good on you! That's where we come in. Read through the forums and start making a battle plan. The SC stuff should come very quick so you should probably dive into the helmet first.
