  1. Sean Fields files have already been vetted and are free. I'd maybe start with those https://shoretrooper.co.uk/#armour
  2. Greetings Pathfinders! Thank you once again for allowing me to continue to serve you all as Detachment Leader of the Pathfinders for the coming term. And what a fun term we have coming up! 1. The 20th Anniversary of "Revenge of the Sith" ROTS turns 20 this year, which means so does the Kashyyyk Trooper! The 2nd CRL of our Detachment, the Kashy has had a small but steady following here since 2006. We've always had between 50-60 Kashys at any given time, but with more propmakers offering Kashy parts, now is the best time to get into this CRL. And our Kashy DCA @Jakeputt, is here to help you be successful! This also means we'll be offering Kashy 20th Anniversary merch this year. We know Kashy merch is not one of our bigger sellers, so we're hoping to entice you all with some great design! And currently we are working on a CRL for the Kashy Heavy from Battlefront 2. If this interests you, feel free to chime in 2. The 25th Anniversary of the Detachment! Doesn't it feel like the 20th was just yesterday? Hard to believe but we are now in year 25 for the Pathfinders. From a Yahoo group to the mighty forum we are today, the Pathfinders have come a long way! And we'll be offering some commemorative 25th Anniversary merch this term to celebrate. 3. Celebration Japan! 18-20 April 2025 is almost here and we can't wait to see the Pathfinder group photo! I unfortunately won't be there this time around, but I will be jealously viewing all your photos. If anyone is interested in helping organize the group photo, please let me know and I will assist any way that I can. 4. New CRLs? We've already seen Scouts in the "Andor 2" trailer, so there's a good chance we'll be seeing a new CRL for them (unless they are just CGI copy-pastes from "The Mandalorian"). We are also working on the above-mentioned Kashy Heavy. "Andor" is also known for being very Shoretrooper friendly, so we will keep our eyes peeled for any ST sightings! 5. Videos! For the Kashyyyk 20th we will be doing the Kashy CRL walkthrough. And I am going to do that ROTJ Soft Goods Video once and for all this term! I apologize for it taking so long; the scope of it has been a bit overwhelming. But until then, we have great tutorials for just about everything soft goods related in our Scout soft goods armory https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/145-rotj-biker-scout-soft-parts/ 6. Staffing And with a new term comes the usual flood of PMs asking me for a staff job. Folks, the bunker is full up with some of the best Pathfinders around! Take a look at the awesome team pictured above -- these troopers have put their time in, paid their dues and know the costumes inside and out. If I ever need to replace anyone, it will come from folks already on the forum who are showing that level of aptitude. I'll take our newest armor, @MikeRadness as an example. He never asked me for anything. He was already here on the forum, doing the work. And when someone goes so far as to get THREE L2s for their various Shoretroopers, an Armor Team spot was a foregone conclusion. Looking forward to another great term! From the bottom of my Imperial heart, I want to thank you all for your support! Mickey Bukowski TB/ST-81974 Pathfinders Detachment Leader

  3. Mine is sewn to the bottom edge of my vest. This is how it was done for the scouts in ROTJ I think most people put a piece of velcro on the back of the codpiece, and then a matching piece on their flight suit and attach it to the flight suit When we say "Codpiece is NOT sewn to the bottom edge of the cummerbund" this is to dissuade a practice that was common over a decade ago before we had more information about the soft goods. A lot of codpieces back then were just these tiny little triangles that were sewn along the bottom edge of the cummerbund. It wasnt until later on when we learned the codpieces were distinct from the cummerbund and actually attached behind it. But at the end of the day, how it's connected doesn't matter, because we can't see the connection.
  4. This is very true. You can make the hip plates in a way that allows for sitting, but it compromises the accuracy of the pieces. If you care about such things! The R1 SL was the most popular Shore out the gate when the CRLs launched for that reason. You will be in good company
  5. Oh, hi Mark The Imperial Surplus kit is a great choice. Outside of 3D printing, there isn't a more accurate kit on the market. Which Squad Leader are you doing? After Mando and Andor, there are quite a few!
  6. The answers are all found in the CRL Lens is black in color and obscures wearer's eyes. Earholes are cut out -- mesh or paint is not acceptable: Area behind earholes inside the helmet is blacked out, either with paint or tape. No interior white should show from the outside of the helmet when worn.
  7. Yes this is true. I was able to "try" one on at the EFX booth a few years back and could not get it over my head, due to the fiberglass build of the helmet
  8. I believe resin but you would need to check with them for the latest details https://imperialsurplus.com/product/shore-trooper-helmet/
  9. The fact that Imperial Surplus comes closer to the dimensions and appearance of the screen used armor. 850 brands themselves as budget armor, and getting things strictly accurate is not part of their sales pitch. It is possible to get approved using their armor, provided it meets all CRL standards, so if you are looking to save money then that might be the way to go.
  10. The most accurate kit is sold by Imperial Surplus. However if you 3d print there are options that are even more accurate. Namely the Mr Paul armor files and the Nico Henderson helmet files
  11. You're talking to him already. @Jakeputtis our Kashy Costume Advisor but ultimately approval is up to the GML of your Garrison.
  12. If we did, believe me we wouldn't keep them a secret! Unfortunately the Kashy is not one of the more popular costumes in the Legion, so there aren't many prop makers offering them. They want to make money after all! BikerChick has pretty much been the sole supplier of Kashy kits for the past several years. ChristhePropGuy has just started offering his kits last year. And fortunately CrowProps has stepped in to offer soft goods. So now there are more choices than there has ever been. It's the best time to be a Kashy!
  13. Moved to the appropriate forum The Kashyyyk Armorer, @Jakeputt can help guide you through your build. We have a list of approved Kashy vendors here As you can see, there aren't many choices. But the ones available are very good!
  14. That sounds more like a description of the WTF v1 helmet I guess Skynet is not quite ready to wipe us all out yet
  15. An oversight. When the Vendor list first went up, there had been so many horror stories about long wait times for the EFX helmet, so we didn't list it. No one had actually been approved in one at that point because no one had been able to acquire one! Since they now seem to be in circulation, I have added it.
  16. It's not too late to turn those knees over and be an ROTJ Scout!
  17. Excellent work! Welcome to the Pathfinders!
  18. The gap is normal and was featured on Scouts in the film. Please consult the Scoutopedia for production images https://www.501stpathfinders.com/scoutopedia.php
  19. AWESOME!! @JollyRajR will be so happy. Don't know if you saw this already, but to the extent it helps, please check it out
  20. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to induct Z "Bikrtrash" Zinser (TB-32173) into the Pathfinders Hall of Fame as a Lancer Scout Trooper for the "TB - Scout Trooper - ROTJ" CRL! Great job, @Bikrtrash ! You have been sent a Certificate of Achievement to your email on file and your picture will be added to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out TB-32173's application here:
  21. They're not. They just look that way in the waiting room. We used screencaps from the game to determine colors.
