  1. Teresa was looking at the same fabric the FO snowtrooper uses
  2. I managed to find some boots second hand which are the same as screen used but I've not dyed them white as yet, another one of those "I'll get to that soon" jobs Pants I spoke to Geeky Pink and sent all the references and sizing but nothing back as yet. Looking forward to seeing either some plastic parts or files to print for the leg armor, another one of those hold-ups so I've not rushed with everything else.
  3. A few differences between the TFA and TLJ/TROS but I'd say they would be higher level details. With the TFA they top forearm plates where not fully glued at the front to allow the hand to come through, with TLJ/TROS they have a split and a zip in the middle, but at this stage I'm not aware of any makers who have incorporated that detail. The front box and picattiny rail are one piece and cover the middle zip, I doubt you'll need to go this far and just leaving some of the front plate open should be fine, it's not enforced on FISD. Bottom right trooper. Small screw/grey head on picanttiny rail. You can also see the middle split in the below image. Inner elbow angles are different but again this may be a higher level requirement.
  4. With the arms you want to make sure the gaskets will fit through so I would wait until they arrive. I have pretty skinny arms and had to add some foam to the insides of the biceps and forearms to help keep them central and stop any movement.
  5. Looking forward to seeing your progress
  6. Looking forward to a great year
  7. Congratulations Mickey, here's to another great year. I would just also like thank to all the other nominees
  8. Best wishes for a safe and prosperous new year (hopefully with less covid)
  9. Glad tidings to all, hoping for a safe and prosperous 2022.
  10. Congratulations and welcome to the Lancer ranks trooper
  11. Normally I just type in hi bright or ultra light led in the search and they come up. I have also found cheap colored torches and kids finger lights at novelty and discount stores which also have the hi bright led's
  12. I use high-bright LED's I normally purchase them from Aliexpress as they are a lot cheaper than most other places I have access to over here. I just don't have the brain power for setting up more elaborate electronics, I see a lot of others using the Arduino boards for sounds and light in blasters as you can add custom sounds.
  13. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the Lancer ranks おめでとうトルーパーとランサーランクへようこそ Omedetō torūpā to ransāranku e yōkoso
  14. Condolences to his family, friends and garrison brothers and sisters. Buckets Off
  15. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the Lancer ranks
  16. Higher level detail for the detonator. End cap extends into the TD housing, slot on top of housing and rear panel are cut out showing the inner tube. Also separation between TD housing and mounting plate
  17. Buckets off, condolences to his garrison, family and friends.
  18. FISD is long overdue for updates on the TLJ FOTK, hopefully that will be starting soon. Just thought I would point them out here in case anyone is starting on a build
  19. A couple of the images used in the CRL draft are TFA and will need updating. Here are a few references of those differences
  20. Teeth & nose cone are also different to the TFA files. Although an aNOvos image this shows the differences
  21. Can't quite make out from the printed image but the TLJ and TROS helmets had slightly different clips and recesses on the helmet compared to the TFA so just check that on the model.
  22. Really would come down to DL, LMO thoughts, there are a few issues with the black series helmet, the lower ring (battery access), lower teeth are a bit off. I don't have one in front of me so I can't give a full review of the differences. Here is a build over at FISD with someone converting one (red version) https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/50561-howto-convert-the-black-series-fo-helmet-to-be-more-accurate/ I started my build but had to stop as I was undergoing a few operations. Problem areas for me are the pants with the raised padded areas, also the knee armor, shins, they are in pieces and have clips (appear to be FOTK style). The other difference is the shoulder bells are not as rounded as the standard FOTK, I'll post some images of the differences when I'm back on the computer. I did manage to purchase some second hand boots and a good price but have not changed the color as yet. Happy to help out with any references I may have or an extra pair of eyes @MrPoopie
  23. There were a few different versions of Treadspeeder rider seen in EPVII, the one you show above is the CGI version which has quite a few differences similar or the same as a Jet Trooper, they may just have taken some references from other costumes like the Jet trooper. Below the CGI does appear to use the same pieces as the Jet Trooper. Both CGI and Movie use the ribbed pants. The realistic movie version uses the same pieces as a regular FOTK apart from the shoulder bells are not rounded on the inner corners and everything below the belt is also different, pants, knee armor, boots. The comic version also matches the realistic movie version Could very well mean two CRL's, Movie and CGI.
  24. Congratulations and welcome to the Vanguard ranks trooper
