  1. Hey man looking good, I actualy added quit a bit of bondo to the right side of my bucket to get the shape right, also I used a heat gun and got the face pretty much perfect... Go check out my WIP and you can look at the photos there insted of me invading your thread. I used my dremmel and cut into the inside of the helmet around the visor so I can set the visor screen in place. Doing the same for the ear piece to add the screens in as well. Lots of people to ask on here when you have questions or problems, I know a few of the guys hear from me every ther day with more... Very friendly & informative bunch of guys on here for sure.
  2. Looks like things are coming together well for you, when I get home in 3 weeks I'll be where you are. Hope everything runs smoothly, good luck with your build.
  3. I'm gonna bondo it shut and redo it again... I had messed up and made it to large, so I'm gonna shrink it down and pull it more toward the forehead.
  4. Never thought of that, very nice man. I know mine weighs a bit more now that I have it filled in with bondo...
  5. I it was... Lvl 1: it's one piece, black center and grey outer strips... For Lvl 2: it's just 2 grey strips... Or one complete piece made to look like it had a hallow center
  6. This sucks being away from home and family, oh well back at it after May 15th... Still got a lot to do though, hope I get all finished before I'm out the door again!
  7. Looking good, I'd go with another black wash to bring more of the darker look to it (unless you think it's good, in person they look different than in pictures)
  8. Sounds great guys... I'm only a bit ahead of you right now, but by the way you guys are going ill be far behind once I get home to finish up.
  9. As I see it, both levels should require the undercoating. It's seen in the movie, and it's seen in the 3D renders... I don't see how there is another interpretation here. But this is only my opinion.
  10. I'm gonna use a product called "Plasti-Dip" it comes in can or spray. When it's dry it just rubber, very flexible, basicly bonds to anything too
  11. There's probably a thread over on the Biker Scout side of things... our buckets are done the same as theirs. Sorry I'm too tired to look, if you do find a thread or two post the link(s) for others to see as well
  12. Looks good Nate, what are you using for greeb material? I really wish BC's armour had come with grey greebs, gonna make a bit more work but it is what it is.
  13. Well I guess I'm leaving home on a good note, had a few packages arrive today, including the infamous Grumpys' glove's! Gloves and pouches (even some awesome Canuk ones) And separately I received my Father/Daughter t-shirt combo... Mine - "Coolest Dad Ever, Next To Darth Vader Of Course" Hers - "Daddy's Little Princess" Thanks again Matt, made my day.
  14. I think it's a good addition
  15. Ok cool. well whenever one of you gets around to getting that "oatmeal" coloured material don't forget about your Canadian counterpart, they don't ship over here and I still need the riding patch
  16. Sounds good! Funny that everyone else hasn't said anything...
  17. That picture was definitely touched up. These are the clearest I could get going frame by frame (100 milliseconds) in some cases just to get rid of some of the fuzz I'll go and grab the beach seen and show you how unclear it really is later today
  18. K everything is trimmed down, I'm ready to attach the tank to the back plate. After that I just need to touch up the helmet a bit more then I'm all good to prime everything... Only issue here is time, I'm leaving Sunday for another 2 months so I'll post more when I return.
  19. ok guys I said I would do this and even though it took me a while I finally went and got the Blue-Ray pics all done up... I ran into some issues with running the movie in VLC so I had to run it in WMP, major pain in the *blank* seeing ass it doesn't have a true slow-mo or a screen shot. So after I looked at all the Pic side by side there are really just minuet & non-critical differences (yes this was from a Blue-Ray version, 43.3Gb) KST - 0 - Walking Away, Boots KST - 1 - Camo Pattern, Gloves, Boots, Back Pouches KST - 2 - Tank KST - 3 - Tank Detail and Gloves KST - 4 - Full Front KST - 5 - Top Half, Side View KST - 6 - Top Half, Facing Camera, Elbow Strap KST - 7 - Top Half, Looking At Camera KST - 8 - Colour of Elbow Strap Compaired to Glove Greebs KST - 9 - Riding Patch KST - 10 - Camo Pattern, L-Arm Greebs
  20. Well I can look at gettig the Blue-Ray screen grabs tonight but I ran into an issue with the BR video I downloaded... VLC (I used for screenshots last time) doesn't seem to want to play the movie correctly, seems like it's in slow-mo and very choppy, plus not always showing a picture (90% of time the screen is black) But it works in WMP no problem, only issue is I can't get the movie into slow-mo or take screen shots (no options on WMP for either) I'll figure something out tonight and post my results later but I'm on nightshift this week so I don't know how quickly I will get things uploaded.
  21. Nice job on the revised CRL, I was waitig for the semi-final to come out. Now to go work on my build some more
  22. I did the rough trim of all my pieces except the front/back of the legs because I used the heat gun on them to fix it up a bit... (That way I don't need to add too much thy are almost a good fit now) Oh and I still need to cut the curve in the tank to fit on the back piece (in the process of that now, am I ever sketchy about it!) Gonna get more done on the helmet after my kid gets up from her nap. (Needs a little more sanding an then I think it will be good for priming) Life keeps slowing this build down but slow an steady I guess... More sporadic really.
  23. The polyurethane glue didn't work too well so I bought some contact cement... Works well, used it to connect the tank greeb I also connected my helmet visor with bondo so it would fill in the gaps between the inside of visor and the side of helmet...
  24. Testing out my polyurethane glue I bought on some test strips... I cant find the "for sale" signs (they make them out of a new thin paper-plastic material now) So I found some placematts that are made of what seems like the proper material. I'm useing this for the "joining pieces", either way all the test strips seem to be working well... I'll find out how strong each piece bonds to the other tomorrow when I try to rip them apart
  25. I assume its more wear-n-tear
