  1. Here's a better pic of the DC-15L that Mr.WoodChuck made for me, even has a build in LED in the barrel tip I'll be getting around to painting this as well once I did some free time between making my armor and family
  2. Here's a better picture of the DC-15S that Heavy's father made for me. I'll be painting this soon enough and adding to the detailed pieces
  3. No, you want the normal cloth material... If its windproof then it's a synthetic material and the due wont take as well as it should.
  4. Sorry to hear about your loss Nate, I was wondering where you had been... That situation wasn't something you could prepare for and of course you wouldn't have to "fulfill" anything to this board or any other, family/friends come first. Hope everything is working out with you and everyone else effected
  5. Did some more work yesterday, had a busy day of running around with the family so I didn't get around to anythig today... , I found some masking fluid, had to find a hobby shop since Michael's didn't have any... Oh and I found some E9000
  6. Thanks but I don't wanna get you in poop with customs (I heard a nasty rumor up here that it's considered illegal to ship without proper documentation and warning labels and blah blah blah, so they would just decline it anyways) Thanks for the offer though... I am still waiting to hear on another Kashyyyk from across the pond about a riding patch though. *wink wink nudge nudge* Heat
  7. Rubbed right off?! that's disappointing to hear... I was looking for the can not the rattle spray, since I was gonna use it in my air brush.
  8. Well... I've already got the armbands 75% finished with pieceing them together. I'm gonna see how this works... I don't see it being much different than useing glue then covering it with bondo. (At least I hope) I'm still trying to get some Plasti-Dip to cover the belt with since I don't think normal paint will hold up the how flexible that thing is... But it's hard to get a can of grey Plasti-dip in Canada... And if you can it costs 3X more
  9. I have 2-3 medium or large ones but I can only find my small one... Guess I'll need to go out and buy one when I get my Plasti-Dip
  10. Got half my pieces all trimmed/sanded and ready for paint but it looks like the sun isn't gonna come out till Saturday (I don't have a garage so I'm doing all my work in my basement, I've been instructed by Mrs Recon that I have to paint outside) Guess I'll just keep sanding all the edges down and try to grab the strips for my cummerbund I still haven't started/finished. Here's the boot caps I still need to pick up some E6000, but I figured I could get away with just bondo... What do you guys think? I still put a strip of plastic along the inside seem as you can see.
  11. I'd say the one on the right is closest to the Krylon Ultra-Flat Tan...
  12. Just got back home so I'm working on getting things finished... Or started, depends on how you look at it
  13. Maybe this needs to be unpinned...
  14. Just thought I'd share my two new projects I'll be painting soon I had Hvy's father make me a DC-15S Blaster and Mr.WC make me a DC-15L Rifle. I'll post more pics on my progress later.
  15. DC-15S Blaster, Heavy DC-15L Rifle, Mr. WoodChuck
  16. Well I went and got some paint, Top left to bottom right: Rust-Oleum grey primer; Krylon Metallica Brilliant Silver; Krylon Ultra-Flat Tan Camouflage; Green (Ludlow Falls - 90YY 15/279 * A) with BLK-26, LFY-1Y13.5, WHT-21.5, YOX-4; Black (Dark Secret - 00NN 05/000) with BLK-2Y; Brown (PigSkin - OR-241) with BLK-14, LFY-1Y13, ORX-36. I'm going to use the cans of paint with my air brush. Oh yeah, I had some work done by 2 different people while I was away, these two bad boys came in the mail I've been working on and off the past couple days... I fixed my helmet (cut a bit too mich of the visor off so I added a bit to the edges and i made the whole in the visor too big so I filled it back in) Also been working on the tank and back plate, (just need glue them together) And I've got the bicep pieces nearly ready to put together and bondo Anyways that's what I've been up to guys, time to get back to work
  17. Ok so what are most people useing for the black on their Tank greeb, & the black patches on back of helmet... A semi-gloss? I'm also painting my DC-15S & SC-15L
  18. I tryed to find the proper paint colours but only found the old ones with the yellow in it... On the CRL it says: * Chrome undercoat or applied topically * Krylon khaki tan for the base color/custom mix available - check with armourers for samples * Polly scale, Panzer Olive green F505113/Humbrol no 78 * Tamiya Color, Flat Earth (brown) FX-52 item # 81359 * black/grey/white misting as appropriate When I went to The paint section of my local store they couldn't find anything with those names or numbers so I had to do some searching of my own... I have a good dark grey primer for the base... Rust-oleum, painter's touch (bonds to plastic) A metallic silver overcoat for the chrome effect... Krylon, Metallic, Brilliant, Silver Then I found a Tan I think will work... Krylon, Camoflage Tan, Ultra-Flat (also bonds to plastic) For the green and brown I wanted to see what you guys thought so I grabbed some paint strip cards...I'm down to 2 choices for each, this was hard since I was trying to go off screen caps from the movie on my phone and matching the colors to the strips... Top 2 of each strip: I think I'm goig to use the top green with the tan and the bottom brown: I'll be getting a small can of the green and brown paints since I'll be using my air brush to put that part of the Camoflage on.
  19. I've been useing a heat gun... Just make sure not to put too much heat to the armor and it should be fine
  20. Those look awesome, great color and very clean looking as grumpy said
  21. K well I'm finaly heading back home this week to start work on my build again... If I don't finish by mid July I'm taking it up with me to Ontario... Post some updates on Friday/Saturday (I'm sure I'll be up working all night)
  22. I got the first rotation of BC's armor and it has the flaired out tank greeb and the L-brackets... Keep up the good work
  23. I'm back on Thursday to start more on my build but your looking great man. The tank looks like it's placed really nice, I wouldn't move it... Take a look at the screen shots though just to give yourself piece of mine
  24. As far as I know she does not do this anymore
  25. For my tank greeb I cut a hole and stuck the greeb up through it... Should be a pic or two on my WIP build... Won't be home till may 16 but I can get some pics for you then
