  1. Well, lil more work on the helmet... Put a bunch more bondo on the inside of the visor but hike waiting for that I started to reshape the right side and fill in some of the cracks The right ear piece wasn't as crisp or as rounded as the left so I had to add a bit of bondo to it, still have to bring it back a lil more but almost have it Seems I had to take it back quit a bit Here's the visor all filled in just need to sand her down
  2. Well, first time for everything I guess. Me and Bondo don't seem like good friends now but just you wait and see I'll beat the £#¥% out of it till I get it how I want. I think I used to much hardner is all, take a look at the left side. I can sand that out in the morning, no worries.
  3. LoL, I was actualy looking at the left KST (red circled) when I made those comments. But yes I agree the boots are not a strong solid tan. I hope at least a few more people get a word in with their thoughts. I mean what do we have 4-5 guys with opinions stared once if not twice already (I'm guilty of it myself) I'm not looking to change anything but if we have a discussion about it I'll put my word in, let the community decide and then nobody should be complaining later... Hmm wait, isn't that what you guys did years ago Heat?
  4. I don't see why you couldn't make it like that if you wanted. All you have to do is convert it into a flip like the scouts do
  5. Here is the best one I can get that shows white straps, tan boots with tan soles, you can also (left arm of the KST on right) see the arm greebs are grey (it's blurry but you can still make out the colour)
  6. I went and took around 70 screenshots of a 1080p version today, here are a few that I thought would be the most helpful (I also cropped them all) ^Here you can see the cummerbund really well^ ^Here you can see the visor slot really good for size referance^ ^Really good referance for tank greeb & chest/back plate connector^ ^here you can see the two back pouches on all the KST's are lighter then the others^ ^cummerbund & riding patch colour (oatmeal)^ ^here you can see the boots are tan, compaired to the white strap... Boot and sole are tan^ ^riding patch^
  7. Ok so I went ahead and made this thread "For 100% True Screen Grabs Only" So unless you took them yourself or you know 100% they are screen grabs don't put them here. **Heatshock here - nice idea Allan just added to stop the clutter, this will only be pics - for the discussions, pls cut and paste em into the discussion threads, everything else will be moderated out ITS NOT PERSONAL ***
  8. Ran to the store and picked up a few supplies. Just the basics before I grab my dremmel tool anyways. 3M automotive bondo, sandpaper, and a few masks so I don't die of cancer later I'm going to start on my bucket first seeing as I will need the dremmel tool for everything else.
  9. TB5994, is that picture a true screen grab? I've not seen anything else with such quality. It looks more like a 3d remake of a screen shot. Can we find more like this? I was gonna go on my computer later today and try to grab a few shots myself but I doubt I'll come up with that quality.
  10. There is a thread for the pouches, this is for the cummerbund... Lets try and keep apples with apples
  11. Yeah I know the darker patches are bigger but I was hoping when it was dyed that would help that... There are a few other options with a digital pattern that we can look at as well. I'm not saying anything is wrong with the current BDU's but if we can find something a little more readily avaliable, that is just as accurate, then we can have that option as well. (Even though the current CRL does not dictate you "have" to use BDU's)
  12. Hmm can anybody find any clearer or closer pictures on the soft armour to put side by side with this shot?
  13. Ok so here you go, these boots have seen some rough times and have some natural weathering. They have a white-ish tan to them now... And that's what I was saying the 2nd picture looked like. Don't mind my daughters princess stuff
  14. Ok so here is a shot of the tan cadpat top I'll get to dyeing it within the next week I think that once dyed it will look closer to the on screen soft armour camo pattern then the Brittish DPM's
  15. Your lookin good there Chilled, and thanks Heat for the quick how-to with the scratch building
  16. Hey grumpy can you put a picture up of your khaki pouches that you painted?
  17. I say yes, this oatmeal looks more like the beige-ish tan I tryed to explain... Well seems that the seller doesn't like to ship to Canada, guess I won't be getting any
  18. I don't see any pics of mine being inappropriate. I've only put up photos pertaining to the appropriate threads they were posted in.
  19. Well I finally got home, and opened my package from BikerChick! Everything looks great, now I have to go out and get a few supplies; ie. dremel tool, clamps, bondo, E6000 glue, and the paint I'll post picks of my alternate camo that im working on as well once I'm allowed to post pictures again, LoL, seems I've hit a global limit or something
  20. I know it's only the 3d rendered pic that we see the texture in... But if we look at the next closest armour with a riding patch; ie. the Scout Trooper then we know from their CRL that he riding patch would be leather. That's taking it a step further than just visual because the lack of quality shots of the crouch regen for our beloved Kashyyyk Trooper. If I had to only go on what we see from the screen caps I would say that the patch is baige-ish tan. The way I see it the more opinions on what people are seeing as the true colours the better.
  21. That second pic just looks white because of lighting (in my opinion) The boots look tan to me through an through, it would make more sense seeing as the base colour for nearly everything on the Kashyyyk Trooper is tan. But if we are going to say white then I'd have to say an off white with hard weathering. I have tan boots I wore on tour and they look nearly white from weathering and use. Once I'm able to post pics again I will post the picks for everyone to see what I mean
  22. Tan leather... That's what in seeing
  23. So with your back and tank piece you rounded off the sides of the tank to fit on the back correct? And as for the tank greeb how have you gone about that? Or are you there yet?
  24. As I stated before I'll get some pictures of my digital Tan CadPat up for us to take a look at. I've uploaded too many pictures already tonight so I guess I'll do it tomorrow... I prefer the way it is now with up to your interpretation seeing as I think each soldier did his own armour.
  25. I would agree with base tan, 2 toned, camo and weathering
