  1. Basketball shorts & tshirt. I always take a back up tshirt, to put on after the troop, because the original one I wear gets soaked with sweat.
  2. Are you done with the streching process on your boots? From the pics that will not work. They need to be heated & streched a minimum of 3x. You will know they are done because it will look like the boot is white & not covereved with vinyl. There should be NO sloppyness around the bottoms. If your pic is only after your 1st streching & you just didnt post updated & you have the smoothness. Ignore this 😉
  3. Make sure the vinyl streches. My fabric store carries 2 different kinds of white vinyl. I made 2 pairs of boots & used the strechy kind.
  4. Looks Great! Always nice to have another scout in the ranks.
  5. For my wife's chest plate I used 4000 wet sandpaper. Took off most of the yellowing. I then added weatehring & it looks fine. For my kit, for some resaon only the right knee, right forearm & right bicep is yellowing. I just make sure I wear it all on the right side when I dress & consider it natural battle damage.
  6. I used .50 acrylic paint from Walmart. Watered the paint down, brushed on and wiped away the excess with a damp paper towl. I think i used 3 different colors of brown. Went heavy/darker down lower as that part of the boot would see the most abuse. Took me an hour a boot to complete.
  7. I ordered an extra from SC. Had it in less than a week.
  8. From the pic, it looks like the visor needs to come down. Could just be the angle though.
  9. Very happy with them, Very comfy & i can walk miles at a time. Been in several parades.
  10. Need to take in the legs apx 2", add the 2" elastic around the theighs, then add the mud flap & riding patch. Still a lot of mods for over $100. RedKap goes for around $30.

  12. Here they are after several troops & "weathering".
  13. The WW is a Tie, Crewman, Imperial coverall with all the pockets. Its a nice suit to use for any of the black coverall costumes. But it cost too much to mod. Why pay 4x the price of a RedKap when you still need to do major mods to it.
  14. I have a couple extra sets. They are all black but can be painted. Lite sanding, primer & paint. I've been using the same bolts on my helmets for years & never had a flake off. $10 to cover the padded envelope & shipping & I'll send you a set.
  15. You will need a package of HD 16g needles. Make sure your suede is no thicker than 3oz Preferable 2.5oz or thinner works best. Pin in place & sew very slowly. You will break needles. No need to seam rip the legs open.
  16. FYI: Imagine your standing on a clock. Your nose is at the 12 O'clock, your butt is 6 O'clock, & your right arm is 3 & left is 9. Remember to put your bicep armor at 3 & 9. In the pics you have them rotated to the back to far. Almost there Brother, balaclava, vest & cummberbund & your ready to dodge trees with the rest of us.
  17. I've used my $5 Harbor Freight rivet tool for years.
  18. Sew the open slash pockets closed. The regular hip pockets can be left open to hold keys, cash, phone... ect.

    Gloves

You should be fine with a Wampa Wear XS. They run really small. I by no means have a large hand & thier Xl fits me tight.
  20. Id stay away, never heard of them. You can not zoom in on the pic, but the dog bone looks off. Looks like a rectangle shape rather than the curved "dog bone" shape.
  21. 1" NON-Sticky velcro, sometimes called "SEWABLE" velcro. In other words no glue on the backside.
  22. Lil off subject. But did anyone notice when Gen Hux is giving his big speach, the Snowtrooper Commander on the left of the screen has his shoulder pauldron falling off? It's off at the beguining of the scene, close up of Hux then wide shot & its fixed. Okok i've seen in more than once, ok 11x hehe
  23. Is that a RedKap suit? Just make the patch as wide as the 2 pleats & if it is a RedKap just sew it at the base of the "waistband". I make the riding patch the width of the pleats & add 1 inch to the length. For example, it the with of the pleats is 11 inches i will make the length 12 inches.
  24. Or a pic? Never seen boots at Target that would pass for base boots.
  25. I used 5min 2 part epoxy. I spread the glue around the entire inside of the tank close to the edge. With the back armor laying on a table i set the tank in the right spot & held for 5min. All the glue ran down & secured the tank & back. Been holding together for over 2yrs now. Did the same procedure for my Snow Scout.
