Check out Spikes thread in the trade forum. You can pick up a nice Altmanns helmet from him. Highly recommended.

Keep in mind it depends on your garrison GML. In the Star Garrison, it cannot be approved as-is: the decals and snout are way off.

The bottom line for the items mentioned is the photos are not even close to what you would receive. Trust the voices of experience here on BSN and save yourself some heart ache and expense.

Very hard to find since most folks hold onto them. The Altmanns helmet is pretty nice too, and that's what I recommend. Many happy customers and scouts!

For the belt, only use 1 rivet on each side in the back to hold the 2" back webbing. If you have a 3-piece SC belt, you should glue the pieces together to make a 1-piece belt. Don't use rivets to put these pieces together, please. It looks horrible when it's done that way!

No problem and it can be done. I did it to mine. As yes, that's a bind preference. You could attach the pouches to the bund in whatever fashion suits you.

Yeah, they can be a bit tight there too. You can always let it out a little in the crotch area since you'll need to add the suede riding patch.

The fit looks good. If you are planning to do the mods yourself, you can add a snap to make the top closure more fitting. Or, if you take them in for alterations, have the snap added. Since you'll need to have the collar altered to mandarin style, that's your best bet.

You might need a larger sized suit. It sounds like the suit is too small. It should not be choking you. Got a pic?

For permanent bonds, I use Gorilla Super glue. For bonds that could be changed or adjusted later on, I use E6000.

That's a good solid answer. A lot of scouts do it, but not at official Star Wars events. It also comes down to how your local Garrison runs things. Some do not allow them even at non-canon events.

Agreed, it's an awesome helmet! Also, Spike has updated the snout so it's now more accurate.

I'd pick up Trooperbay decals to replace the traps. The remaining decals are good. Also, I'd replace the bolts with 3M bolts. The other elements are good to go with this helmet.

I'm fairly certain that is a New Image helmet. I have only met one member here who tried that one and it was not a good experience. The bolts in the pic are rounded on top, not accurate. Also, CB (cucblack) is a former member and seller here that does not have a decent reputation. Similar looking helmets... The SC helmet could be a good option depending on your head size. The MLC is also not a bad option but is made from fiberglass. Neither option is super accurate but are close in price. I'd recommend the Altmanns helmet for reputation, size, fit, and finish. It comes ready made and is a great helmet. There is an open run in the trade forum and many happy customers.

Never really heard of them and there are no reviews here on it. To me, it looks like a helmet offered by New Image from the UK, but the inaccurate bolts look more like the CB helmet. It appears to be fiberglass. Also, it looks rather large. If you have done research here, you no doubt know there are better helmets readily available. What do they cost?
