Donjarr on Ebay UK £2.50

Personally id leave the tops white, its supposed to be a bridge to connect the armour, you dont really want your eye drawn to that section to much.

Thankyou for the new pictures, please bear with us for the next few days as the election is running once concluded the lancer team will get back to you, thanks -
Ive sent a text, leave it with me mate and il get back to you

Failing that we have a guy on the UkG forum who has molded a whole new TD box with a much larger slot one side like the real deal to fit the new greeblie. Have a look at the CRL's there is a picture of mine. Il ask but im sure he wouldnt mind selling you one mate

Only thing ive seen with KS some of the kits go out in pretty bad shape with poor pulls. That being said ive also seen some nice ones, I use a MLC and have a medium head and I love it, my mate tried to get it on with a large head and couldnt get it on. If you have a big melon then Altmanns if you can get one is a good choice. Johns LW helmet is very nice indeed, and we also have the new one being made from a studio mold getting released hopefully at some point. Of course a heavily modded rubies can also make the grade with alot of time needed on it.

Clean armour, what on earth is that???? I havent cleaned mine since ive had it, the more battle scars the better for me.
-
Unforunately they never come up for sale Ive never even seen a real pair, I have looked for years and nothing has turned up. We had a guy selling a close pair on here not so long back, but they were a really small size. I really cant understand where they all went, all I can think of is they were not a very robust boot, and most got binned.
-
The cuts certainly wouldnt fail a lancer app you have done a good job on them. Only thing that sticks out to me and it maybe the reflection from the top of the boots but are the soles green??? The soles should be a sandy/honey beige colour

Hey Sara the flap literally is just sewn on the flight suit along the waist line at the top above the point the cummerbund sits. I used light weight black pig suede from Tandy leather, you can use faux suede for standard 501st clearance but I would recomend using the real stuff as it gets a nice look to it once washed

Looking forward to see what your first pull comes out like.

I would watch the in seem line on that pattern posted as it shows more at the back than front, Im not convinced that is correct, more is defo seen at the front on the films, mine is approximately 30mm behind the seam line ( but then again my actual seam line sits back past the half way point on my leg if that makes sense) and extends forward, I didnt use a posted pattern with mine, but did use one as referenece I just mocked one up with paper while I wore the suit. My best advice is to print out a clear film shot and then judge in your own mind what looks right as at the end of the day its the look you need not a fan designed pattern to fllow to a T. Every troopers body shape is diffderent so there will not be a pattern 100% that will fit everyone.

Cool get some pics up when you can mate. Good luck with it, make sure you keep the armourers in the loop to avoid mistakes
-
Defo paint it black mate I would say, in my eyes with their futuristic materials would they then use wood on a blaster??
-
Try to pull up some movie stills, hold the armour against yourself and mark everything with a pencil and see how things are fitting compared to screen used parts before cutting. The belt I recon is the hardest part to do, getting the drop boxes to the right length and hang straight.
-
The picture looks good mate, but the proof is in the pudding. It would be easier to comment on an acrual finished greeblie.
-
Its black thin pig suede you are after mate, available from Tandy leather UK. The fligt suit in the pictures are mine, once on the saddle doesnt look quite so far forward, the pattern that used to be posted here had the suede sit just back from the inner seam line by about an inch, and then go forwards giving the curve shape seen on screen at the front. The pictures are just as a guide it will differ slightly from trooper to trooper due to body shape and size ect

Lovin your blaster concept bro

There used to be a template in the gallery I believe ladysewforus posted but Ive just looked and cant find it now sorry. There is another thread already started if you have a look mate with templates in you will have to scroll down as the search function doesnt seem to be working. Also check out the pictures in the scout CRL to see where the straps need to be and advice on that, including where the butt flap needs to be sitting. If you fit the 50mm (2") thight straps reasonably fitted there will be no need for a stitch to hold them up

Their on Ebay for £2.50 which is super cheap, personally I have my greeblie mounted the other way up though

new Lancer Knee armor strapping
4505Marcel replied to Ducman82's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Right been looking at this off and on all day 1" (25mm) bottom and 1/2" (12mm) top is what I will be putting in the CRL. Its a good compramise that most seem to want and im happy with that. -
new Lancer Knee armor strapping

Well done Leo nice pictures, while we can disreguard the mom picture as it is known to be wrong the screen grab where you flipped the picture is very good. This is what I feel we should be going for- 25mm lower strap this will be in between sizes of what we have seen and 12mm top strap, I dont see the top strap being any wider than this on the basis it is lost in the crease of the flight suit on the moving speeder picture any wider and it would show on the suit. -

yes please mate shots of all sides in a non action shot pose please, try tucking the vest sleeves inside and stitch -
Wouldnt hurt to add a piece of abs to the back also, but once a rivit bites, it bites the whole circle if you like so feel you will be fine, there isnt going to be too much force on the outer edge from the elastic.
