TB5779 Requesting Lancer (APPROVED)

Again not really a clearance issue but one of the armourers just brought it up, the bottom edge corners of your shoulder bells could be rounded off to get a more screen used look. I just drew around a coin and dremelled mine down again a 5 minute job if you want to do it bro. Nice little tweak. -

Very nice bro, dont worry about next strap for lancer app but I would do it at some point. We will get back to you shortly -
Real suede actually looks more accurate the more you wash it as it dulls, I wouldnt suggest putting it through the tumble dryer to dry them though , mine came from Tandy leather also pig suede as thin as you can get

You need to remove that line on the sole or dull them down as they should be one colour soles, have a look in the reference section and try to match the sole colour as best you can to the correct Sierra boot. I used velcro on my collar covering the opening (collar to collar, not collar to flight suit) just to keep it all nice and tight to the neck, you may find as it is now the front will hang forward -

I would suggest adding a black tab or vlecro just to keep the collar up and closed, but yup top job. My only other gripe would be the line on your boor soles, they are supposed to be one color, any way of weathering it out or some have been successfull painting the boot soles. Other bits you can do which wont affect clearance so its upto you is to dull down your blaster and snout as they are far too glossy, also the pouch flaps shouldnt have any external visable stitches around the egdes, they are supposed to be internal. -

Hey bud this is a very nice build just a few tweaks needed, first off your going to need to fix your collar. It looks like a regular shirt type collar folded down, you need a race suit type collar that stands up. This can be trimmed and re sewn job done, few minutes work! -

Thank you for your app we will get back to you asap -
If you read what I wrote I said at this time untill there are a good supply of the correct returned edge knees, standard knees with a rivit in approximate correct position would be acceptable guys. Ryan do you know if SC is now supplying knees with a returned edge? I may just grab be a set if they are. The MC replacments I brought are quite abit thinner than my SC set up so havent used them as of yet as I do tend to kneel alot in costume. quote name='mariellejaworski' timestamp='1342193555' post='81584'] looks really amazing!!! my only thing I have to say is... the knees, when I wanted to go for lancer (and I have a SC kit to) Marcel told me the knees where not good enough for lancer because the knees need to be on a ''return edge'' like the MonCal armor does have this was Marcel his answer on my knee parts when I tryed it also to go for lancer: ''Unfortunately there are not many endors that supply a knee armour with a correct egde return on them. Moncal does and also one of the UK guys is now molding them, and SC are updating as far as I know, they are not vey expensive to buy so would recomend that route, but at this time I would accept rivits on the side close to the edge as you have pictured but look at screen grabs for correct placement, but as these new knees become more available I will write in the CRL that the rivit must be on a return edge.'' hope this helps you a bit

Easy pass I recon once the fish hook is changed, yes if you want to be anal a few tweaks could be done. Depends what you want out of it, you still have a nice looking scout as is trooper.

EFX to make a Biker Scout helmet from the original molds
4505Marcel replied to lonewolf's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Now that is one nice bucket -
Good to see you pushing on with the scout project bro

Yup vynil looks ok, remember it easier with a hot air gun to get the vynil supple to stretch nice and tight. The only thing with those base boots is covering the dots that are printed on the sole, when you stick the trim round your going to have to cover those up

Back of belt closure: fastex clip or velcro?
4505Marcel replied to Pandatrooper's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Nothing specific about the belt for CRLs as its not really seen. Velcro we believe is accurate like a TK, but when I did mine, the TD box kept getting knocked and un did the velcro all the time, so I stayed with the side relese buckle for practicality as its not seen anyway. -
Ive altered it on here, having an issue though on the main site it sems to be stuck in french for me.

Ive thought long and hard about this, and this is what I posted in the admin section- I think for now I am going to say both 5 and 6 ribs are acceptable for both lancer and standard scouts just to be fair to everyone, there isnt really a 100% clear photo to say either way as good as they are to say one or the other is right full stop. I dont feel that the number of stitch lines is such a major issue with the scout costume in general un like say a vest for its accuracy, its not something that the eye is really drawn too in my eyes. It certainly doesnt make a scout look any less accurate with one less rib, as the spacing can vary some with a troopers girth anyway so were never going to be all the same. For now Im happy for which ever a scout wishes to choose. The bund material wont be changed in requirments as long as overall it looks right in fit and finish. If guys choose to use a nylon based material thats fine as long as it has a heavy weave to it.

Can anyone identify the rifle scope
4505Marcel replied to Grantd1*'s topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Weapons
I would have thought it was a made up scope and not a real life rendition, I would say most large objective scopes would work, jst pick one thats close such as the one posted above. I would look for something cheap -
Same here spin the bund round, vest I just slip on like a Tshirt. No need for any spotters dressing help with my scout
-
Everyone seems to have covered it all, but for standard 501st clearance with a few tweaks your there! TD greeble could be flipped over too
-
Great pictures it certainly does look like 6 stitches Looking at Nicks knee caps they look huge, looks like SC knees are more movie size than say MC

Yup youve done a stealing job here Jim, you have gone above and beyond for the BSN of late -
Chevron is curved at the top mate its looks like a pointed but it isnt

If it is possible for someone to get screen grabs via a pc or laptop that would be a big help, not just for the sake of this but for the archives. In the mean time I will discuss this with the armourers and staff before opening it up for a vote.
