  1. Well, I will let you get away with it for your application, even though this is not an official application. I still would like to see a picture of your cummerbund so I can see how wide the cod flap is. The Lancer spec should say inverted arc, I will be changing it to that. I will leave it to you to keep the chevron you have or change it to the arc.
  2. Could you also put a picture of your snout greeble. I can't tell if it's on a back plate or not.
  3. Also, I'd like to see a picture of your cummerbund not on you. I believe the cod piece is too narrow. As well, the stitching on the cod piece should be an arc, not a chevron.
  4. Grant, one thing I noticed is your pouches. They are attached to the cummerbund which is fine, as long as they do not ride too low. I also noticed on your pouches that the flap is not long enough, it should reach all the way to line up with the bottom of the pouch as in this picture:
  5. I used to have a speaker in my chestplate, but not now. I cut out the rectangle on the left chest and put gray speaker cloth into it. I then mounted the speaker to the inside of the chest plate over the hole with Goop. It worked well for a while, but would cause feedback and distortion after a while. One other issue was rainy or wet troops. I removed it for an event that I knew was going to rain on, and never put it back in. Good luck!
  6. But yours is so nice!
  7. You do not need to paint the rivets on the boots. They do not need to be painted for Lancer. The screen used costume likely had unpainted rivets. That option is yours. The only rivets in the costume needing painted are the rivets on the belt connecting the three sections on a Studio Creations belt. The MonCal is one piece and does not need riveting. The screen used belt was one piece.
  8. I WANT ONE!
  9. Berry, I am dropping you down to 501st Trooper. Please contact me if you have a completed costume. Your status on the main Legion site is messed up.
  10. The screen used one appears to be a light gray rib on a darker gray material. However, in a compressed state as it is normally seen on the costume, it appears gray. It is definitely not white and black or white or black. I suggest plain gray.
  11. Is that a 10 UK?
  12. Your best bet is to try and meet up with some Legion members in your area. Contact the local garrison if you haven't already and meet up and try on their buckets. Should be a good assortment within the garrison.
  13. Lancer specifications are clearly listed in the Costume Standards forum here.
  14. Mine flops in the wind a little. The strap from the cummerbund keeps it more or less in place.
  15. No, like this (from the CLICK ME above):

  18. As Mark said, the line at the top of the codpiece where it meets the cummerbund needs to be straight across. As well, the cucblack flightsuit/vest, altho nice will work for basic acceptance but will not pass for Lancer (see this discussion here). I have no problem with the multi-stage shoulder's on the vest. I have seen people do them both ways. Perhaps a further study could be done once the bluerays come out and we can see if we have anything better to tell if it's one or two sections.
  19. Very nice! I like it! The only thing I would change would be to reverse the velcro so it closes the same way as the screen used one, right over left.
  20. The bottom of your chestplate should line up somewhere around the bottom of your sternum when worn, adjust shoulders accordingly. The SC armor is just fine in it's appearance.
  21. 1. Leave the line straight. The Studio Creations tank does not fit as clean as the MonCal tank. This is the screen used tank , ignore how loose it is. This is mine: 2. You can leave it as is or trim it some with a Dremil. 3. You can use sandpaper to sand, just sand on edges and it will keep the gloss of the armor in tact, avoid leaving sanding or cut marks on surfaces if you can. 4. If you really want the shine, use Novus Plastic Polish. There are two versions of the scout widely accepted. Both are considered Canon for LFL events. The clean scout seen in the hanger of the death star: And the dirty scouts as seen on Endor:
  22. As long as the pouches sit against your chestplate bottom, there is no issue. If they float somewhere on your stomach, that is bad©.
  23. I just borrowed this image from norcalscout on the second page of the soft armor forum. See how there is a flap on the top of the pouch? if you do not have velcro on yours (you did not say where you got them) add a strip, then get some sticky of the other side and put it on the inside of your chest plate at the bottom. You can then attach your pouches to your chest armor with the velcro. I'm sure there are other posts here show it, I didn't look around long.
