also note Grumpy's entry Type: Grumpy Country: United States Contact: Grumpy on BSN Website: http://forum.bikersc...?showtopic=7754 Kit: need to supply Gauntlet greeblie (see below) Availability: Maker dependent, pls pm direct for details Assembly: Occasionally maker has greeblies in stock, alternatively, greeblies supplied from MB can be forwarded to maker and gloves made. unfortunately - unlike the more established costumes like TKs and TBs, we only have a small list of vendors who more of less do things ad hoc (guess also cos of the small demand). AFAIK it was dependent on Grumpy's time and glove base availability? Are you saying he no longer makes gloves at all? will contact him direct and ask; but up to then, he was the only member actually offering to do this at all. Nate

Old List? Maybe - will update MB and Acrylikhan no longer supplying the greeb. You might have to scratch this yourself. as for armour - as far as I was aware - Mr Bungle was on hiatus rather than packing it in completely? Pls note listing for pghfett armour. The listing is not only to point out suppliers, but what is "out there" Type: PGHFett Country: United States Contact: not applicable Website: not applicable Kit: Fibreglass Availability: Not currently available, but kits are in circulation. Assembly: Armour needs trimming and assembly. Some early kits were only upper armour. Few come complete with the knees, shins and toe caps.

I removed my shoulder straps by just cutting em off mate however, AFTER I removed em, I did think..... hmmmm they would have been good for strapping the bicep? Remove the button obviously - but if you fold down the strap, its will be same colour as the rest of the BDU and can be used to hold up your bicep armour? (fortunately, my bicep armour doesnt need holding up) Nate

hi and welcome to BSN. there are entire sections of this forum dedicated to the Kashyyyk Trooper. have a look around and check out some of the threads in the relevant sections. I have locked this thread and answered your other thread in the Kashyyyk Section http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9406&pid=77388&st=0&&do=findComment&comment=77388 Nate

actually Paul - those are out of date like many other clone costumes - the CRLs are still WIPs. The CB CRL is actually being finalised as we speak. Robert; if you look at the very 1st pinned post in this very section is all the up to date chat on the CRL. Most relevant is post #81 on page 5 http://forum.bikersc...opic=5025&st=80 On BSN are there specific armourers (me or Mr Bungle) you can actually get help from as well as a list of vendors http://forum.bikersc...hp?showforum=81 you are more then welcome to check out Mr Bungle's definitive "how to" guide to putting the armour and lid together. The only change is the yellow colour from teh camo has been removed. here is my own build - http://forum.bikersc...hp?showforum=81 However, the same rules apply here like other 501st detachments - have a look around, read through the posts above and do some homework. Mr Bungle or myself would be happy to answer anything other questions you may have. You may also wish updating your profile and doing a intro post; we are a small but quite passionate group Welcome to BSN and looking forward to you CB build. Nate

ok guys - this will be going ahead with strict rules agenda for discussion: (1) Name - I favour the title as above, but as ever would be open to suggestions (2) rules - each cleared Kashyyyk Trooper will be allowed to have 1 post and 1 post only. You will be allowed to modify that post as you go along - post to have Nickname on board, ID number and Garrison. Year of clearance would also be useful, so new CBs can see how each costume was cleared in which year. eg Heatshock / 4365 / UK Garrison / 2011 - each post will have no limit on number of pictures, but a standard set with at least 2 - full front, full back. Additional pics to show details - completed costume pics only, no WIP - you are allowed to comment on your own pics - eg this was done like this, before new CRL came out etc - NO COMMENTS FROM OTHERS - I will be moderating the thread strictly; its not meant to start drama, just a show case for the costume we all love so much the floor gentlemen and ladies, is now yours. Discussions to end 16th April 2012 - then we open our new Swamp area ;p Nate

lol - I like this guys - very good. More ideas also coming from Mr Grumpy too. ok - so we are more or less agreed on a "style" of camo rather than templates. Hopefully the new gallery idea will help new Kashyyyk troopers get a feel of what other have done before. Black stripe - soz, seen some ref pics and they are definately there. Now - I dont think we will have a actual section for the Gallery - but a pinned thread on the Kashyyyk Trooper HQ. Will start another thread on the Galleries - so as to keep the CRL thread on track. WIll post up ideas up on there prior to making the Gallery Official. Nate -

soz interweb connection went down for me a few days deadline approaching guys - keep them ideas flowing! Nate -
I did mine a while ago now, and when the whole acrylikhan treatment. If I had to do all over again? I wouldnt. In terms of time spent, cost of materials etc - it would probably have cosst less to get a nice fan made IN terms of satisfaction - priceless. Nate

no worries Jason - here to help just checked back - Mr Bungle actually has the stripe on his - check out his tutorial http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=5323&st=0 I was doing to use a 3mm or 6mm pin striping vinyl stickers that you get for motorcycle or car detailing Nate -

rofl Andy - that wont happen mate. for any CRL changes, there will be a grace period and no trooper will be left out in the cold mid-build thanks for feedback boys, will add in the black stripe in the CRL document. as per some fine discussions from Grumpy - streamlining of the gallery thread Rules for posting in the thread - statement in the 1st post listing the following rules, all cleared CBs welcome ! - posting for 501st cleared CBs only - each post to have be labelled forum nick name, cb #, garrison, real name, year of clearance Eg: Grumpy, CB4312, Ohio Garrison, Matt, 2010 - 1 post per cleared CB, as many pics as you like within that post - recommended are front, back, left side, right side, and then some detail shots? (Plus an "Action Pose") - no build or WIP pics - they can go elsewhere in the forum; you can however provide a link on the Gallery post. - poster will have access to edit their post to include upgrades over the years - no comments like 'looks great' etc, strict moderation will be enforced and posts deleted where appropriate to ensure the neatness of the thread - any questions to be pm'd to the trooper direct Now just to say to already cleared CBs, this isnt a thread that is going to be used to beat you over the head with, ALL cleared cossies are welcomed. Its been a long process of getting the details right on this cossie @Jason - mine doesnt have a tank stripe, but I am sure someone here will post it up. I will get some stripe for mine, and if someone doesnt do it before mine is complete, I'll do it Not sure I understand abt the preferred method for the multicam? I believe most people glue into or sew it over their pouches? Nate -

If we cane get more concensus on the gallery - will start a pinned section in the Kashyyyk Trooper HQ ok so suggesions so far - new wording for the camo paint job - cloth or multi-cam boxes - agree with you there Matt; and who knows, years down the line, it may not be so easily accessible too! - new gallery with the following rules + 1 post per cleared CB, as many pics as you like within that post + no comments like 'looks great' etc + any questions to be pm'd to the trooper direct + I will watch it to keep the thread neat. -

I would also go down the route of the camo being unique. If we can get the colours sorted that would be great. Mr Bungle and myself are always happy to send out colours on plastic so troopers can colour match too. I actually found the camo painting fun once I got the idea round my own anxiety. I dont want to go down the route of - "this" must be used.We could perhaps have a gallery of camo for the cleared CBs so new guys came have ref's? perhaps a description like "camouflage to look like screen used (not other references like toys or figures) - not too "busy" with ill-defined speckled edges, which are best simulated with a sponge" keep em coming boys! ok Osman - this isnt criticism, just some observations. I will use your pics as well as some of my own to illustrate (1) the spacing of you cossie needs some sorting, the chest plate needs to come down a bit more so the space between the chest plate and then boxes is not so wide (green arrows) (2) you belt buckle is in the wrong position (red circle) its actually secured onto the belt itself (3) you whole belt should be moved upwards (blue arrows) towards the boxes. mine is secured with velco to prevent drooping (4) looking at your oblique view picture; I think your entire chest plate needs to move forward and sit lower, it may just be a case of lengthening chest straps (5) some of the colours should be sorted out - the boot base should be white, and the green on the costume is currently too "olive" but this is probably just a matter of opinion. The original colour suggested by Mr Bungle is Panzer Olive Green - that green is just a bit richer heres mine : which I think could do with some toning down; and another of one my Garrison mate is doing at the moment (Andy - I hope you dont mind!) as you can see its a richer green colour than the one currently on your costume. Hope that helps! Nate
-
definately better mate - hope they work for your ankles! definately seen a pair like that or similar on a cleared CB Nate
-
hey Osman, welcome. I recognise that armour It was one of the 1st in the UK to be completed. I can see a few tweeks needed though - will list them for you once I get to my home computer Nate
-
yeah thats the best then mate - there are lots of bits to the kit, and Mr B is a good lad, sure he will sort you out

they should have come with the set - have you checked in all the box? if its still missing - need to get back in touch with MB, he has the molds for the greebs Nate
