It doesn't seem like these go all the way around like the Shoretrooper faulds do, so I think making two separate pieces that hang from the already existing belt is fine.
Also, to the extent it helps, my Shoretrooper fauld is 10 inches high
Yeah need to look at the belt boxes that gives an idea

I could probably repurpose the Patrol heel file I have into a spat. Does it have that clip on it too? The clip is easy to make.

That's what I was thinking.  They look very similar

It's difficult to totally nail this down with a measurement of the boots width at the middle of the spat an dthen the length of the spat at  the widest and then the height at the tallest point. The front part that you can't see looks similar to the back but it's thinner.

So I guess this needs to be made to fit a wide variety of leg sizes.

It seems that most of the FO costumes have the spats?  Do they use velcro to close them?  I assume those clips are just greeblies.

Yeah I use velcro for my fo spats

Kb you can trim to size but bit tall
Jim Tripons are shorter usually fit a wide variety of sizes

Calvin was telling me there are just two halves that connect. I couldn't see the clip on the figure it's clear as day on the pyre in the same pack.1d295b5ccca44e878bec652eaa56914e.jpg

Most ankles are roughly the same size so there shouldn't be too much variation in the size. If it's ABS you can cut them to size since it'll most likely be 2 pieces. It it's 3D printed you'll just need to scale accordingly.

Question gaiter do we need the seam bd76b0faf0c9078cba43b508c9ad941c.jpg9d8d4ce0e81a7465541096d9386db36f.jpg

We can't see it on the toy so I'd say seam or no seam, either are fine.

Here are the links to the MT-Spats. The dimensions seem off though. If someone who has boots can print one to see if they're correct it would help. I can adjust the model if it's wrong.  If printed in one piece this should just be able to slide over the boot without any issues.

MT-Spat_Left

MT-Spat_Right

My suggestion would be to put some velcro on the inside of the spats (soft side) and velcro sewn at the bottoms of the gaiters (rough side) so everything stays in place nicely.

I'm going to just mod my spare spats more than likely
Not sure who else is building this at moment but is there any opposition to make a smooth no clip fo shaped spat

I would say we would prefer no clip as we have no reference for one.

That should be alright but we'll need to figure out sizing and I have to get supplies which is a little difficult right now. Totally doable though.
