DukeOfNachos replied to BikerScout007's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Sateen Cotton Fabric Solids Item #: 5970074 ^^^ is what i used for my cumberbund/cod, i believe its the same stuff I nabbed off one of the build threads -

ok, about 90% of the way down page one, there's my TD build, @nateopotato found that some nice 1-1/2” sink throat pieces could be cut and have a nice tight fit into the tubing. with this, just glue/clamp the throat pieces to the end caps, once dry push into the tubes, and viola!

Looking for a place to get my flight suit
DukeOfNachos replied to Bhane's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Pilotbay (They have a presence on Facebook and Etsy) also do all the scout soft parts. -
Mine was a SC build bud. Here's the link:

worked great for mine, nice and comfy to boot. Ozark Trail Men's Troy Boots - Walmart.com
-
The soft parts aren't truly hard to do if you can sew. The only bit I had to farm out was my flight suit since I'm not that excellent a tailor .

When you submit for membership you chose like 5 TKID's (your number, choppers is 48104, mine is 39121 for example) and then when your costume is approved they give you which is available out of your requests. Current list of available legion ID's: https://www.501st.com/members/search_avail_ids.php

Build was stalled, but back on track - need guidance
DukeOfNachos replied to RZill's topic in Getting Started
I have said Kolossus undersuit. I removed the butt pockets, and the stitching around the utility pocket on the side leg, and cut it close to the seam since it was like super reinforced at that area. Had a tailor sew the suede on since I didn't trust my skills to that part of the build -
Gree gets around. Biker Scout WIP (WTF and 3d print)
DukeOfNachos replied to Gree23's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Just don't do your holdout in resin . I was at my first troop that I carried a Holdout on and when I went to dekit I put my right leg up (blaster still in holster) and the 1' it dropped caused it to explode I guess I'll need to carry my nice rubber EC-17 from now on. -

Ozark trail (Walmart) has one that I used for mine, single tone sole as well https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Men-s-Troy-Boots/931045664 -
1 bars are where its at... we're a rare breed

Seriously man, chefs kiss.. I had nearly 0 sewing besides junior high Home economics (That class thats like not taught anymore...) so besides doing my Jawa the softgoods weren't that bad to the 'low skilled' person such as myself! You should seriously breeze through it

Lancer base boot sanity check…
DukeOfNachos replied to Ketchup's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
If you’re near a Walmart check out the Ozark trail boots, also @zediyeti mentioned their kids boot is listed under “wonder nation” if your foot falls under the size 7 mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I didn’t use the soldering tip much, I think @LittleScout may have more so than me. Mine was mostly xacto blades, tedious hours of xacto blades
-
I know I had some boot stuff towards the end of my build thread
-
These are the boots I used, also the boots that Steph's Imperial outfitters uses as well https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Men-s-Troy-Boots/931045664 I hadn't really done any armor before I built my SC Kit (TIE Armor is literally drill a few holes and attach everything) while nervous at first that first cut is pretty liberating as you're committed at that point! The detachment has your back, and even being on the small size I have a shorter garrison mate who worked her SC armor pretty well while waiting for her soft goods.

My original Flak Vest was made out of a 'heavy cotton' T-Shirt from Michaels

All of my Elastics have hook Velcro at the ends, and then the Armor has the Hook element right next to the openings. Works pretty much the same way for elbows/forearms as well. RS prop video showed them gluing the elastic to the armor. I just followed my SC instructions which showed the Velcro on each side ;).

It’s not a seen part, whatever floats your boat
